I dont want to see that number again so it will be better to go back to 12k. Grin

For me, what comes down must go up and I think I have already said it here before and I got it right.
The pump may be near. It could be just around the corner.

Still it will also be good if it goes deep. Maybe I could buy a lot of it preparing for the future. Somehow, I am still in the buying mood.

I read a lot of posts talking about expected price of BTC next few months, there are those who are expected to rise by the end of this year, but many expect Bitcoin to decline, as I read at least 6000 what you think?

the pump earlier this year and subsequent correction look an awful lot like the september 2015 - february 2016 period---the beginning of a long term bull market. we might touch $6k in the coming weeks but i'm confident we're not entering a prolonged bear market. i think we'll be uptrending again by next month and will be comfortably above $10k before year end.

I am trying to avoid expectation rather be flexible and open for opportunities
There are still bullish and bearish scenario. Bullish is to break out 8600K  resistance
Bearish is to break down 7700$  support. So anything can happen but i not so much believe in 6K

from my experience what is often talked about by people then the direction of bitcoin will be the opposite of what you often hear.

I'm looking at a few possible scenarios.

1) Intermediate bounce into the $9,000s (at least) followed by a trip to the low-mid $6,000s. Pretty well approximated by the first scenario in this post.

2) More bearish sideways in this range before a capitulation wick down to the mid-upper $6,000s like this chart.

3) A selloff to the 0.786 fib in the $5,400s is possible but the least likely of the three.

Nobody knows exactly what will happen. This is why many people just rely on technical analysis, whether it be stocks, futures, commodities or crypto. Myself I base my trades off the weekly charts which has a lot of noise filtered out.

If history is to repeat itself then a confirmed bear market will be when the $9000 area gets tested within the next few weeks and fails to close above it. This is what pretty much happened in 2014 and 2018 and lead to a long bear market afterwards. If you sold when these candles closed you would of sold at a good price.

I don't agree with those claiming that bitcoin is doomed and the price will fall to dust. After so big drop in the last 2 weeks I am expecting a recovery. Maybe not (directly) to 10000, but at least 8800-9000 (as a first step).
The last week may have not been to productive in China and Germany (national holidays), so maybe now, as they are back, would take advantage of the good prices and .. buy.
After Bitcoin's price drop in recent days, today it has been growing steadily since the afternoon and has grown over the past few hours, according to CoinMarketCap, from $ 8,247 to $ 8,288. Of course, while this does not mean much, however, I would like it to continue to grow at the same pace. I do not think that in the near future it will still fall. Most likely, we will finally see the expected growth. It always grows somehow unexpectedly. Still, we have already entered the last quarter of the year. This period has traditionally been marked by a good growth in the cryptocurrency market.

well, analyst ,speculation, prediction, FOMO , FUD could be a determinant of the price for the future.
although, i am not sure 100% the price will following one of i say before.
u know, as there are many market factors involved, and also Bitcoin doesn’t follow the classic market analysis.
i just have little speculation, of course it pure based on my regular review.
if the trend still be like this , and also btc etf approved on middle of october , i surely btc will go to 10-14k end of october.

A lot of people are expecting it to drop below 6000$. Probably because of the disappointment with recent Bakkt launch, or just want to buy bitcoin at a low price anyway. I expect it to drop a bit but continue to move sideways rather than full-on downward. The effects of the Bakkt launch couldn't be seen to be in effect immediately so I'd rather hope it goes sideways and slowly moves up because of the plausible effects that it could do in the near few months.

The behavior of bitcoin cannot be predicted easily, and since price dropped drastically several weeks ago a lot of holders were losing hope. Although this was really shaken our world, that doesn't mean we're quitting. I don't expect a lot of progressive changes to occur, all I wanted to see is the greener future of bitcoin after the fall of value was fully taken into corrections.

I hope bitcoin go to $10000 at least this year, again, but not sure as many talk about down to $6000.

I'm very bullish on bitcoin on the longer term, I expect it to have another leg down then reverse and continue the previous bull run with even more power as the next major move to the upside will probably take us to a price discovery period.

there is always some people who are expecting bitcoin price to drop for a lot of different reasons (missing the boat, wanting to short,...) and when there is any drop their activity grows!

as to what i think, i think the price will keep going sideways for at least a couple of weeks (maybe until end of Oct.) and then slowly rises back up. if we see it go above $9k and get closer to $10k i expect another big FOMO to take place and take the price up above $14k super fast.

So you do not agree with this bitcoin will back to $6000 by the end of this year?
