Almost everyone have had one or more experiences at first that was quite bad, and served as an eye-opener for them. I did have one really bad experience when I was still starting in the cryptocurrency world, and it taught me a lot and opened my eyes, and all I needed was that one experience to make wise up.

When I was a newbie I didn’t really get how the system works and I was still trying to understand cryptocurrency and how I would go about it, because I had no one to teach me, I just came across bitcoin on article online and I felt it was quite an interesting thing to be part of, so I did without the help of anyone there to guide me. I ended up being scammed once, and lost all the money I had invested at first while I was trying to sell my coins. That served as an eye-opener indeed, and I became really wise till date and never fell for any other scam.

to be involved in the ICO project I haven't tried it like you have done, but the mistake I experienced while joining the crypto community was that I was too confident to keep the Altcoins I got from the Prize Project so that until now there is no longer available market for me to sell Tokens the. this is the worst experience i've had
Too bad you can't sell the altcoins you got and why do you really believe in keeping them at that time,
regardless of whether the experience is good or bad must have a lesson,
regret will always be there and I hope it will be replaced

Frankly OP, I don't understand anything you just said except what is in the title. I can tell you that I lost a lot of money farming on Ethereum. I payed a crazy amount in gas fees and the farm collected profits from the governance tokens it automatically farmed and gave me useless FARM tokens. I didn't check but it appears that the supply of FARM tokens is infinite, so I was farming for nothing. I wasted a lot of time and money on that. From now on I don't use automated farming protocols, I only farm directly in places like Spookyswap, Pancakeswap, and Ref Finance.

i ever try to do fast trade with some exchanger. open many tab and knowing that different price is good to make salary. use all of my knowledge to surf that thing, deploy money on exchanger, than buy altcoin. calculate everything i need, and im sure if i will take 40% profit in that time. what i miss is, when i transfer from exchanger C to exchanger A, it take more than hour. and you know, i dont have my profit in that day.

The worst experience I've ever had was losing a Private key, and this incident made me very sad and devastated because in my wallet there are several altcoins that have high prices and several other altcoins that have the potential to develop in the present. and this incident occurred when my PC died and could not be used anymore. while all my data is in the PC. this is my worst experience, so for now all crypto files I have stored in the mailbox.
Imagine that as the most expensive learning experience of your life. There are thousands of people every year (probably millions) that studies in college and pay a lot of money, since they do not work they get a loan and then they are in debt forever. This is very true for USA, but I am sure there could be some other nations that have it as well, in my nation private schools have a last year chance for something like that, so it is sort of happens here as well.

This is why I believe that we should not be focusing on what we lost, but focus on what we learned and I am pretty sure many of those graduates with ton of debt never learned something as valuable as you learned by losing your private key.

@op, I'm quite sad to hear about your loss. luckily I haven't had anything so bad since I've been in crypto, I often participate in ICOs but are very strict in choosing which new projects I want to invest in, besides that I have never been deceived or lost assets and private keys.

To get scam and lose some money and this is an eye opener for me that reminds me to keep on learning and because of this I was able to understand cryptocurrency never to get scammed again. I don’t see losing money as a worst experience since its normal to lose money in trading and its unpredictable. Always learn from your mistakes and be better always.

Many people in this market have bad memories. My luck was never good, but it was all because of my mistakes. I lost a lot of money because I traded at the wrong times and accidentally shared my wallet password. Sharing a wallet password was a complete idiocy, everyone should hide it carefully  Cheesy
Of course it is a very fatal mistake and you should not do that,
but it has happened and hopefully we can make this incident a lesson so as not to be careless and always be careful,
It's clear that not everyone has bad memories so don't worry
It depends on how you define "bad memories". The one who bought two Pizza with thousands of bitcoin may not consider this as a bad memory.
With the same logic, as you got a lesson from your mistake so we can not consider it as a bad memory.

My worst experience is the fact that in 2014 I did not take seriously my friend's advice to start collecting and accumulating Bitcoins. I had every opportunity for this, but I did not take advantage of them.
I almost had the same mistake when i was advised to be paid in bitcoin for a freelance work on photoshop but i refused because i didn't yet realize at that time that it's worth trying. Another bad memory was when i sold my savings in an alt with 60% benefit, that token got more than 500% ATH.

Actually, I have never suffered from scammers as I try to be very careful and I investigate all documents and even smart-contracts. Nevertheless, I was a victim of hackers. The biggest loss of mine was about 100$. It was a yield farming platform and at first everything was OK.

I did research of its smart contract and docs, but then they launched V2 so they changed something and it was a vulnerability that was used by a hacker who printed millions of tokens to himself.

I have a worst-than-worst experience which is unrecoverable at all. If I can recall correctly in 2018 after dumping Bitcoin I bought two altcoins. One of them was delisted from the exchange from where I bought. So ultimately I lost a lot there. And another coin dump hard as well that hasn't recovered yet. My 1.5 Bitcoin become just $1K now. So I left them as it was rather than sold. This is a costly lesson for me, it's just not the worst.

The lesson and experience made me ZERO today rather than Hero. I can't forget that ever. During that time I didn't have much experience to choose a cryptocurrency hence selecting the worst coin.

I think the only bad experience I had with crypto was when I was very greedy such that I didn't take profit after the price had moved toward my speculated price mark with some decent profits earned already, unfortunately  the price reversed and I ended up losing all the profit earned earlier and lost part of my portfolio it was a very sad experience, however I learnt my lesson and move on bearing in mind that more opportunities of such will come and utilize such opportunities but with diligence, patience and contentment of whatever profits earned.

The bad experience that I have is the price of coins that have not been pumped since a few months ago. I'm afraid he won't pump anymore and become a shitcoin, I hope that doesn't happen. So I'm still waiting and hoping. At times like this, my mentality and patience are tested, therefore I will not rush to sell coins at low prices which actually makes my experience in cryptocurrencies worse. I also try not to panic and stay positive, so that time will pass quickly and suddenly the coin pumps by itself.

Same, probably not cashing out and still waiting for the price to go up.

Or totally forgot that I have x amount of tokens, and when I checked, they've move to a new one and I failed to exchange my old token rendering them useless.

Of course, there are scammers waiting in the wing and will do everything to convince you to give them money.

Those are some of my worst experience in crypto, maybe I still have some, but that are on the top of my head right now.

It took me a while to understand your case, I hope I don't misunderstand and analyze
it looks like you are a greedy person who dreams of getting more profits, on the contrary you experience losses
, my friend, that's a natural thing, I think everyone must experience it, when we want to get more profit, it's even worse, but that can be used as a lesson so as not to be greedy again, it's happened to me too actually

I have never sent a token or coin to a wrong address or chain. So I have no such experience. However, my ETH wallet has been hacked twice while trading on ForkDelta. The first time the loss was $700 and the second time $450. This is my worst feeling and worst experience.
