I agree 7hrs is far too long for LOTR and each movie could've been condensed down to 90 mins or so. The Hobbit is even worse in this sense as it really should've been only 1 movie (possibly 2, but definitely not 3), not to mention the ridiculous plot lines thrown in that weren't in the book and never should've existed at all. As always, the books are far better than the movies, The Hobbit actually being best out of the lot. So ya, definitely read all the books, then check out the LOTR movies at your leisure, but in all honesty I can say you can forgo watching The Hobbit movies.
I'd cut all Frodo's dramatic expressions - that would save about an hour!!!
And after that stupid marathon, I never intended to watch the Hobbit.
I intend to read the books, but not right now, as I'm mentally too tired from my job and can't absorb anything.
I'm so bad that i can't even remember if I have Alzeimer's decease...
Totally agree! although I'm a fan of all the Bonds until Daniel Craig.
For me, Bond has to be the "impossible man I'd love to be" type of movie.
My favorite Bond actors were by this order:
- Roger Moore
- Sean Conery
- Pierce Brosnan
- Timothy Dalton
- George Lazenby
And yes... you don't see Daniel Craig in this list as he is far worse than George!!! (But that's only my opinion!)
