If you have the money, buy some bitcoin. If you need the money to pay in six months, you'il be hurt. take and forget.
This is the best thing to do right now.

Sensible that is. At this kind of market, you can't really go short anymore. If you want to make money and profit, you have to expect to go long. Not just with bitcoin but pretty much with majority of the alts as well.

The longer time frame users and holders of BTC are related to its development.   All of a sudden we have many different phases to the development of any coin but especially BTC because its so widely spread out.
That somewhat explains how the price manages to remain this stable. If we also take into consideration that there are multiple dominant exchanges instead of just one like how things were back then, it's more strength for this market.

Yes, the uncertainties and volatility might gain an upper hand again in the future, but we're building a foundation at which we will allow Bitcoin utility as a currency to flourish, and that's what I think is one of the most important aspects.

Bitcoin's utility as store of value is not enough to keep the demand popping. Eventually we'll see Bitcoin deflate again because there isn't always a need for a safe haven asset, while the demand for a currency is always there.

Hi guys,
I started again recently to get interested in Bitcoin and I just wanted to know if somebody could tell me what I missed with what's important about the Bitcoin this summer. Is it still a good idea to invest in Bitcoin? Do you think it's going to go up by the end of the year?  Huh
Thank you!!
Another thing we have missed out during all of this tether stuff going on and whales buying bitcoin was again that the price has not moved as much as it used to. There was a period in the summer where the price moved from 6.4k levels to 7.2k levels constantly, it moved up and down multiple times during the summer, whereas in todays market the price moved so little and it went down back again and the change wasn't there so much, which means the crypto world is much more stable than it used to be.

People are not getting the coin swing as much as they used to which I believe means the whales that tried to do swings so they can make a lot of money are either gone or they do not want to do it for some reason.

They must be trying hard to squeeze more from the users who wanna dump after a slight spike. But seem not much is going on now. The only need to do now is to wait for fresh money that will come into crypto to pull the price up to another ATH. I think the stable price is a good indication of a good price to buy this time in case you miss the dip below $6k.

Market comes in 2 cycles, and right now the bears are in control with the bulls currently trying to fight back

I think we have more influences then that, this is purely just a price tug of war between buyers and sellers.   Also there are people with different time frames that make it more complicated.

The longer time frame users and holders of BTC are related to its development.   All of a sudden we have many different phases to the development of any coin but especially BTC because its so widely spread out.

Welcome back to bitcoins. It is better you analyse the price of bitcoins from where you left till now and determine for yourself how it has been doing since you left. Base on your analysis you can make decision on your outcome.

It is still a good investment decision if you will like to invest now. However this is not an advice you invest but my views base on the current price and the recent market behavior. We have had good news about of recent and those news are going to be translated into bullish trend in future.
As long as you know you are going long and care less about how the market goes down lower with you even seeing it as an opportunity to buy more, then, please do so. One thing about a market is that nothing is actually predictable as we all know how things can happen pretty fast in a volatile market, but whichever way it is, either we go bullish in the short term is only going to be dependent on time.

What is going on now is just the market trying to find where to go next and from what I can see so far, we just have to wait and see, although, there is that optimism that we could see the possibility of a breakout upward due to market sentiments.

base on my opinion yes there is a great chance it will go up by the end of the year considering the fact theres a lot of institutional investors jumping in the past few weeks, but there is a low possibility of going down, so you really have to do some research on your own and analize the market.
Even if it does not go up immediately or before the end of the year, one way or the other it would go up no matter how long it takes. Market comes in 2 cycles, and right now the bears are in control with the bulls currently trying to fight back and it is how this fight ends that would determine how things eventually turn out or how they end up not turning out as the case may be. Considering though that a lot of institutional investors are popping in, we are seeing some pretty good news in the market, I believe at this point, people should get used to the fact that buying into this market now would not be a bad idea.

I think the price of Bitcoin will still rise, but I can't give you the exact time. I think the bitcoin is waiting for the approval of the ETF!
There is actually nothing to think about that, this is something that would end up happening eventually. No one can give a specific time or possibility of when this might happen, but one way or the other, we just have to be patient. We are seeing a lot of improvements lately, with the institutions wanting to be a part of this ecosystem and coming up with their own ways of doing things, Fidelity helping hedge funds and so on and so forth. These are great developments and if people are not really getting to see that the future id great, I wonder what they are seeing then. One thing I know for sure is that, it is worth waiting for.

I think bitcoin can grow because it is the most popular coin in crypto. The market will have the opportunity to grow back in the future, and if you decide to invest it will be a wise choice.

This is the most naive and somehow the most perfectly timed post I have seen since a long long time. First of all you have not missed much, bitcoin has been around the same prices for the past 5 months or so which means if you have been active in this summer you are probably at the same price range last time you checked.

However there has been a lot of small ups and lows, many times it broke 7k there was one time it broke 8k and has been sitting at the same 6k and 7k range and staying in between those prices for the past 2 months or so without moving to either side, it goes up and down about %3 or so here and there and we go crazy about them however in reality it is not moving much and has been quite stable (which is totally not we are used to bitcoin doing but here we are Cheesy )
The mindset a lot of people always tend to have to investment when it comes to trying to predicting the possibility of growth in the market and not understanding the risks, as well as the position a lot of people put themselves, when it comes to making investment decisions as their judgement is usually clouded by the former, it can be a bit tiring for them I guess. Nothing is going on, the market has been in cycles over the years, and there is possibility of greater growth in the long run.

A good time to invest now? most definitely!

What if it goes down lower? Then Invest more!

yes it's good to invest unless if you can afford the price. by the way think before investing mate and make sure you can afford the price to lose to avoid repenting 'cause market is very risky to invest  because of some factors that always occurs in the market nowadays.  So control your emotions always when investing to avoid being greedy and etc.
Do you think it's going to go up by the end of the year?  Huh
Thank you!!

in my view probably on this year just a little progress of market so i suggest don't expect too much . if you want to become profitable just hold until year 2019. Which surely market will recover.

for now base on TA its bearish and shorters will take advantage of it for sure, unless we break the asymetrical triangle in btc/usd pair not in usdt, but base on FA on the good news the we hear day2day woth investors entering crypto its really bulloah man though i dont rely much on FA as its much more probable in TA

So naive and perfectly timed in fact that I feel it has to be, like the majority of threass here, not created for genuine interest or curiosity.

Then again, I've actually met people in real life who ask me exactly the same questions... And it always is genuine... Naive I suppose.

Op, Don't spend your time here in Speculation. Read Marketplace and see how many ways therr are to use and spend Bitcoin. See technical discussions and be amazed as I, frankly, was. Trust me, you'll answer your questions better this way.

This summer?Today is October 16,the summer is over. Grin
Nothing important happened. The bitcoin price is moving between 6100 and 6800 USD and the community expects something big to happen during the next year or maybe 2020.
I don't think that this is the right sub-forum to post newbie questions though.
Grin Well, literally, Summer period is June to August; while Autumn is September - November, with winter following afterwards, so we already left the summer even a long time ago. However, whether summer, autumn or winter, however the market moves in the short term will determine how things would end up panning out.

We know we are still inside a triangle and the possibility of a break out to either the upside or the downside is still pretty intact, and until then before we can even tell if there would be anything to look out for at all. However, like you said, I actually expect that we would have most of the big move within next year/ upper one which is 2020, which means I would not expect anything too serious this time around.

You can look around and see it for yourself. There's a lot of good and bad news as always.

Ask yourself if you wanted to go long or short term as as far as investment goes. Obviously, majority will advise you to stay for the long haul as the price seems to be stagnant as this point and just wait for the next couple of months or years and see how it goes. As far as the price at the end of the year, we really don't know, we're still hoping for a break out run but its better to prepare for the worst, just saying.

Tha prices stagnation will really put as in middle of the crossroads, but  at least the rule is clear do not lose your investment, while the price is in stagnation is to be patience, but still we will not  lose hope because as long as the system integrity is still their the possibility of bullish  run is not possible because as we it is volatile.

You really missed a lot including the highs last December bull run.
Is it still a good idea to invest in Bitcoin?
As always, its never too late to invest in bitcoin if you have a long term plans with it.
Do you think it's going to go up by the end of the year?  Huh
Not sure with it but its been 10 months since the market has been down and predictions are saying that its enough to start the next bull run.
