Is it correct in assuming if you own nxt or dogeparty you also have a part of any asset issued through the respective protocols?
For NXT: nope, not even slightly. The assets are the property of the issuer and the buyers/investors, you can buy an asset with NXT, but simply holding NXT does not give you a share in any NXT assets that you do not directly own.

For DogeParty: no real idea, but I think that its the same.

BUt the value of NXT/Dogeparty should/would increase if said XXX asset increased in value?

NXT has 250 assets and is adding 2 assets/day = it's going exponential...

You haven't seen Dogeparty adding assets, now THAT IS exponential! Cheesy They added a few thousands assets in two weeks, because it only costs a few cents to issue an asset. It costs ~$30 to issue an asset on NXT at current exchange rate, so 2 assets/day is not that much and not exponential at all.

Almost all of these older coins are $hitcoins, some of them more $hit than others and some have more functionality but it doesn't detract from the fact that they're forks of Bitcoin with superficial cosmetic or mechanical changes.

Check out peercointalk.org, all the information about 0.5 and nubits is right there. Although nubits is still a bit of a mistery, the programming team working on it is excellent, so the expectations are pretty high.

I know they are paying top wages for engineers...
But, seriously, PPC has completely fallen into the abyss.

Last I heard Jordan Lee was giving away equity to his buddies.

NXT has 250 assets and is adding 2 assets/day = it's going exponential...
If the PPC team doesn't match NXT functionality head-to-head they are wasting their time...
Some half-baked protocol like XCP or ClearingHouse or MasterWhatever is pointless and doomed.

Any discussion of Crypto Assets without a direct comparison to NXT is meaningless.

Peercoin is getting some traffic, Blackcoin, and Dogecoin have been highlights when it comes to volume and price recently. I know Dogecoin has something to do with release of auxpow, and Blackcoin has somethingto do with the conferences going on in CHina right now, but Peercoin? wat's going on with Peercoin? Anyone got some insight?

A) Coming of NuBits
B) Coming of v0.5
C) Overheating of SHA-256 mining.

It's a well established PoW/PoS hybrid. In the future, the market will start to move more to PoS. I've predicted that PPC will experience a similar bullrun in 2014, as LTC experienced in 2013.

Can you go into more indepth about these three reasons you made? I understand the third one a bit, but explain the first two if you will. Thanks!

PPC's block chain size is 400 MB...  Constant inflation to keep miners around for ever.

Dogecoin is cool and well being able to send money for 1 doge is rather amazing.
