I thought the early promise was just to eliminate double spends and eliminate the need to trust a third party, in which case that early promise was already fulfilled by Bitcoin itself. Only a small minority of users demand the kind of privacy that Zcash and others promise. That promise hasn't actually been delivered yet, since we haven't really had people attempting to break them. If the FBi and Interpol try, and give up, then we can say that promise is fulfilled.

Correct. It hasn't done enough to differentiate or convince adoption, but we should give it time. I'm still on Monero though.

I think Zcash's price should be better than Dash. But I can see that Zcash can not catch the necessary potential. I invested a big and I will not sell Zcash without the price of $ 1000.

Actually, the Zcash is rising in the value because of the concept of the anonymity that can provide the user confirmation of his private key. That means that on their technology anonymity can be surpassed and the holder can prove he is the owner of a certain amount even if his identity isn't revealed in the end. It is a great concept and that made it suitable for the OpenBaazar which is listing it and allowing the promotion of this great altcoin.

Investors are seeing the opportunity because there are some functionalities that are even wider opened then the Bitcoin is. Also, the price is rising right now because the correction time has ended and new limitations in value can be surpassed.

It is the good investment right now if you want to double your profit!

Zcash is the decent cryptocurrency this is not a high value. you should analyse the previous week value or previous month value.
All the cryptocurrency are down in past three days know only it will develop in the market. So now it is return to the last week value. This have high potential in market it will going to moon in few more days.

Even though I do not like ZCash at all, you see what happens when banks/corporate get into coins at ETH and XRP.
They have the power to sell this stuff to Average Joe and make a killing themselves.

There is the possibility of ZCash being worth $1000 or way more.

It's like a hedge to real cryptocurrency projects.

I still think Zcash is not finished its rise. Zcash bottom was at 0.025 BTC and almost every coin in Poloniex are at least 10x the value of their bottom.
There is a good chance that Zcash will go to above 0.2 BTC before it peaked off and crashed. Every coins are overvalued now and newbies will look to buy the coin which have not risen as much.

It's the hype around JPM what pumped up the price. When we saw Zcash for first time the question was who wants to use such a currency that had the option to function as a true digital equivalent of cash leaving no traces. And except us (nerds, ITs, computer enthusiast, speculators, etc.) the banks may also have interest doing this. And here comes JPM with there Ethereum build Quorum platform who wants to implement Zcash in. Nobody says JPM is going to use ZEC as payment method, but their going to use its technology which is a great proof that Zcash is awesome technology. Not to leave the fact that ZEC also entered in Enterprise Ethereum Alliance which is without a doubt good reason for the price increase too.

Well ZEC will likely dump. Miners including me will be flooding the market with expensive ZEC the next days. I'll be more than happy to have the price stay this way but I fear the buy support won't hold for long.
