I suspect the finCEN fine and the KYC requirements to use rippletrade have been a significant turn off for both ripple labs and end users.  Their end goal always seemed to be adoption by major banks or financial institutions and from the outside looking in it appears they have decided they can just make their own coin instead of using XRP for these purposes.

The rippletrade wallet hasn't worked properly for months, it freezes for long periods on even high end computers. The XRPtalk forum has been shut down by the administrator because most people had lost interest. He's left it online in read only mode for a few months, then he's switching it off. Ripplelabs wouldn't pay him anything to help run it so what do they expect.

Without that forum to generate interest the old fanboys are selling up and forgetting about ripple. Ripplelabs shot itself in the foot.

Hi whats happend with ripple?
The volume is 200.000 this days..

A while ago it was 2.000.000
Anyone know why?

From 30th of October it`s mandatory to get verified on Ripple in order to trade. There may be many accounts that are still waiting to pass the verification. It may be the reason of the decline of Ripple trades.

Lesser people are interesting in buying an altcoin with so much supply. You can see that Ripple rarely increases in price due to the large supply flooding the market. They are looking for other coins instead.

Is that a rumor or is there evidence that they took fines from the US, as I remember hearing a lot of past US Gov Officials had joined in with Ripple and this seems like they would use their buddy buddy power.

It is not exactly THAT hard to research...

Ripple is not only a centralized system it is also a registered company which has to provide all user and transaction data and information to authorities.

its always fun when Spoetnik appear in threads.
I'm also wondering what makes them scam as they've been here for years already, they probably do pump and dump but then everyone do it.

If people think the coin is scam, they can always dump it.

People realized that Ripple is not a real cryptocurrency. it is not decentralized and fully controlled by one company.
IIRC, There was a major pump and dump for ripple.

The question you should be asking yourself is, why the hell isn't the linden dollar listed on these marketcap sites.

They list non crypto like ripple and stellar

Why not the linden dollar?

Why not mickey mouse dollars?

Why not ithica hours?

Why not facebook credits?

If you the crypto users want a change ask for it. Either they list all private currencies or none. It should be that simple.

Here's your list of private currencies, look it includes ripple, does anyone need anymore proof that ripple is a private currency.
