Did anybody use ED these days?
Is it safe or not yet?

Cheers!
It's safe right now, As you can see how so many people are using etherdelta again, The decentralized thing still keep the amount safe the only thing that gets affected by the DNS attack was actually replace the real with the fake just like another phising that already planted in etherdelta. I'm using it right now and all of the transactions went smoothly.

Oh how sad, there's no safety for the transaction of our money. I know how bad you feel right now, I've experience that already, all the money was gone too and right after that I was really become lazy working to earn money for about a month ago. It was really annoying that was hacked but of course no one wanted that to happen it just did so all we have to do is just wait for the update about etherdelta.

That's why we always preached not to put a lot of your funds in a exchange, because in a likelihood of a hack, everything is lost on our end. And yes we are not safe hackers are really targeting us because of the huge amount of money involved and transactions are irreversible. Once they can a hold of your funds and transfer it, there's no way on our end to get it back.

There's a lot of precautions to used like strong password, 2FA. So its really up to us on how to handle it. If you are not careful, its gonna be gone. So protect your account at all times. Better be safe than sorry.

Yes, we are not safe. But don't panic. Banks also hacked. I am sure that the team EtherDelta will understand!

We need to tighten our security and just like in real life, Xmas and the holiday season are times when most of the robbers and hackers are lurking to steal everyone's funds so everyone has a horrible holiday except the robber, thieves and hackers. It is not the best time to be trading or doing many transactions right now because of all the thieves waiting in the wings to rob you of all your wealth and money that you maybe have worked so hard to make.

As I know the money on these platforms are frozen at the moment until the problems will be solved by technical support staff. We’ll se how the situation will evolve with the time. But now there is no information that the money is lost.

Usually as first step specialists of hacked platform froze its operation and functionality to avoid any more consequences. That’s why the site is inaccessible. When the break-in will be eliminated you will see if all you money stay at place.

Don't try to use Etherdelta until it is safe to avoid lost of funds. Just wait for the instruction on the official twitter account of Etherdelta if the site is already safe to use.
That's not the best advice.
If we use metamask then it's completely safe to trade on Etherdelta. Anyway one need not to keep balance in Etherdelta or any other exchanges. Don't use your personal or Martin Ethereum address to trade on Etherdelta.

We really are not safe and these guys dashed out with a whole lot of funds. A lot of people who did not quickly get the news ended up being a victim and over $6000 worth of hard earned tokens and some Ether went into some scammers account. Really a sorry and devastating case.

I feel sorry for the ones who may have done a quick bit of buying/selling on ED yesterday, not realised they've been phished and then set off on journeys to be with family over Christmas and New Year. They might not have the intention to come online for several days so imagine their reaction when they find out.

Does it mean we lost our tokens that on on ED wallets? Is there any update? Or it just DNS got hacked not wallets?

DNS got hacked which means the hackers were able to put up a fake ED site on the real ED domain. Anyone who was trading without MetaMask or BLUE chrome extension would have entered their private key into the fake site and the hackers would then be able to steal everything in that wallet.

If you are using MetaMask or the BLUE chrome extension then you will be ok. If you are using MyEtherWallet or entering your private keys directly into EtherDelta then your funds are at risk so you need to get them off EtherDelta as soon as possible BUT DO NOT LOG IN TO ETHERDELTA!

You can get step-by-step instructions on how to move your funds without logging into EtherDelta by joining the Ethereum Blue Telegram group:

https://t.co/RoxhCbc3ku

So far they have given the best advice on how to deal with the EtherDelta hack and they've already helped lots of people to safely move their funds out of ED.

"One Token to Move Anything Anywhere"
EtherDelta was never a good place to hold your tokens, they even stated it on their main page, like if they knew about this hacker attack. But anyway if you didn't get trapped by the phishing site your tokens are still safe. And regarding Youbit, I didn't even heard about this exchange before the news that it was hacked.

Hahaha if you were holding all your money and erc20 tokens in etherdelta you really diserved to have lost all your money. No offense, but who could be so dumb to keep all their money in there?
It makes no sense. it is the same as saying that i am holding all my bitcoins on coinexchange.

The hackers are despicable.
We really have to be extra vigilant and pay attention to security.
This is not the first case of hacking, neither will it be the last.

I guess best is keep all or majority of the coins in hardware walllet
