WHY are the holders selling?  Huh ...just because of all the fake news? Angry

YES, they are all selling because of made-up FUD campaign against IOTA.

here a nice article about it: https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/mind-in-the-machine/201712/how-fear-is-being-used-manipulate-cryptocurrency-markets

No, only weak hands sell for that reason. Hodlers know the fundamentals of IOTA, they stay unimpressed by FUD. Holders sell because they want to buy in cheaper! At least this is my strategy as an IOTA holder. I sold all the stack and now looking for an good reentry.

Iota is been pumping for a week now. Maybe it's time to take correction of the price. I loss huge at the price drop but still have faith on this coin. Just relax mate. Every cryptocurrency are undergoing to a correction. You should look at that as a right opportunity to buy more because it's because it's more cheaper than before. Iota devs are extremely active. Just have patience mate. Wait until they make a huge announcement. I think things will get even more better for Iota next year.  Besides, Bitcoin is sucking huge volume at the altcoin market. So relax, it will recover soon.

Seems like its having a couple of rough days. What do u guys think? Time to sell or time to buy?

You can never guess the trend of such a volatile coin. You just make mistakes if you do so. It can even be $10 in one day, or $1 in one day. Both are very possible for iota. The price is not stable.

Iota holders keeps selling their coins. i hope they profited from it but, The project is really amazing! IOta has a lot of room to grow. besides blockchain is no.1 asset of people in the industry, but in the long term you will see INternet of things is more likely happen in the future and IOTA is gonna kill the blockhain protocol

Well, IOTA got a little problem when their CEO announced that Microsoft is not their partner rather participant just like everyone else that is why the price of IOTA started dropping but don't worry it will recover soon.

Which IOTA never claimed. This is a really good read addressing this particular topic: https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/mind-in-the-machine/201712/how-fear-is-being-used-manipulate-cryptocurrency-markets

The question is how long do you want to hold? If you want to go short term, it might be wise to sell now, but if you want to go long term, this might be just the start of its rally. But who knows.
Personally I sold all my IOTA (bought at $.3) when it climbed to $4.3 for the first time. I want to buy in again, but still waiting for a big enough correction to happen.

This is not the first time in this space that project will use fake news of Microsoft partnership to pump its price, I think this is intentionlly done to drive the price up, looking to buy cheap tokens in coming weeks
True. Only news is played on the price of coins, I will necessarily buy myself a coin. Time to buy!

Was it the project team themselves or the community that spread the fake new?

If it is the project team then that is ridiculous that they would risk bad pres on what is such a valuable project.

I presume it was the community though, its so hard to trust people in hype groups like this. I think there should be greater use of the trust/ don't trust button so we can start to judge the integrity of information people post!

I think anyone that will buy IOTA in the next time will make some great profit in long term. If you are just here for the quick bucks, you will regret next year. But lets see what will happen in the next time Smiley

Does anyone have update on this microsoft meeting? Is it at 7pm GMT?

Also what is the meeting about, and what do they hope to accomplish. Is it around testing of the network with microsoft devices or are they looking for funding for development. I preparing for price movement very soon.

The technology behind IOTA seems incredible but have they any current use cases?

Internet of things is a growing ecosystem but currently it is more of a concept than an actual reality.

IOTA will depend on hardware manufacturers to release products that can use the network before a huge increase in the price comes.

I am not an avid follower though so have there been any real life use cases and if so how did they do?

I was confused what happened now, a lot of bad news about iota. Better wait a few more days to find out what happened to iota. You can see some thread here, all say about iota.

People are really stupid. ...FUD was spread, people believed it and sold.

Absolutely ridiculous... BTW, today is the meeting with Microsoft in France:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Iota/comments/7jqpe4/iota_meetup_today_in_paris_microsoft_france/

It is a very good chance to buy IOTA that low because all the claims turned out to be complete bullshit.
