As a beginner, not much is required, learn and share what you have learned, read the forum rules, do not spread spam and try to develop your skills and your local community in understanding the decentralized economy and the importance of saving, investing and bitcoin to solve current economic problems.

With the passage of time and the increase of your posts, you will be able to be an active member and one of the trusted members, and thus try to help the beginners and keep the scammers away.

As a newbie I have been wondering what to do in other to grow and contribute to the success of this forum with my little knowledge.
Welcome to the forum and am sure you are you to learn from the forum here. Don’t think because you are a newbie, then you can’t make any contribution to the forum, even high rank members can learn from you, just make sure you are making positive contribution to the forum, but just make sure you abide by the rules and regulations of the forum, if you are sharing your knowledge and people are learning from you, then you are already contributing to the success of the forum.

Where am I not getting it right?
Why do you think there is something you are doing that u are not right? Just feel free and make positive contribution to the forum, avoid plagiarism, avoid spamming, avoid anything that’s going to spoil your account.

Well you still have about 35 post and about 5 merits ranking you up to junior member and I think you're ready growing in a nice pace so no need wanting to stress yourself but just as other members have suggested and advised you, there is nothing really special  you have to so but to bring in meaningful  topics to the forum possibly the ones not yet discussed on the forum and also try as much as possible  to read contents of members you see as established members and also try to study how best they make their post  and somehow, you'll  be on a nice path to success.
Away from from all of this, simply just make meaningful post on the forum and try to study rather than wanting g to jump on every thread.

Goodluck on this amazing journey.

Stick with your goal. That is to obtain knowledge and experience as well so that you will be trustworthy and become a good contributor in the forum eventually. After all, this forum has been successful already, so to prolong its success, you have to start from the scratch like those early birds here. And by doing your own diligence to study and keep making consistent research, you will understand these topics in the forum and able to share your new insights and information especially to the beginners. Also, you have to be optimistic that you can do it by yourself, trusting yourself will make you trustworthy in the forum too.
I think you don't have to be trustworthy to build a profile here in this forum unless you have the intention to sell service or trade here. OP can gain knowledge about this forum by only reading previously created threads and replying on them if you need further information about that specific topic. OP can always create a thread about different topic and enlightened others with the knowledge he gains from here.

After all it is just a forum where people discuss and talk about bitcoin and cryptocurrency, you don't need to standout to contribute, you can contribute with what you have.

No pressures mate, just enjoy your stay in the forum while you keep on exploring the different boards and just keep on reading and of course understand them too. Make a research if needed because that’s the only way you will maximize your knowledge in the forum. Eventually you will develop your skills as well. When things are already in the right place, I think making a good contribution is not hard anymore as everything that goes out from you will eventually become significant and valuable. You just need to work for it and just trust the process.

The orientation you need are in the Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ. So far, you have made 32 posts so far and more than 50% of your posts are in Politics & Society, you won’t be getting much merits for talking about politics in a bitcoin forum. I suggest you increase your horizon and explore other boards, you don’t have to make topics or engage discussions in all the forum but you should definitely visit different sections of the forum and read the topics there, as you become more knowledgeable on various subjects you will find your posts to be more constructive and helpful to other members.

BTC, a coin of today and tomorrow.
Bringing topics that are useful and not existing on this forum will help you.

What a very big task for a newbie with little/no knowledge of bitcoin. Even to create a topic that has already been discussed will be difficult for him, let alone bringing up a very fresh topic.
Do you even think that it is possible that there is any topic in bitcoin that hasn't been discussed over a decade now and it is a newbie that will bring it up?

No offense, but when I checked your profile, you mostly posted on Politics & Society? Why is that so? This community is so rich with discussions about Bitcoin and Altcoin and if you want to grow then you have to explore other boards as well.

Just be yourself, don't put to much pressure on yourself, and as I have said, it's better if you will go around and play with this community first. Just continue to accumulate knowledge here. You may want to to bookmark topics that are interesting to you and then comeback to read it.

And if there is something not clear to you, then ask, simply as that.
There is no competition in the forum so enjoy your stay here while you are still in the process of learning acquisition and developing your skills and strategies in the market. Do not just focus on a single board but explore everything you see in the forum. Believe more, you will grow in the forum without putting pressures on yourself, and when knowledge and skills are already on your side, it will be easier for you to contribute well in the forum and be a significant member that gives valuable insights and information.

Never settle for less knowledge but always do the means to make you updated and highly knowledgeable on every important topic in the forum. That means you have to keep learning and gain a lot of experience when it comes to crypto investing and even trading because that’s the only way you can give valuable contribution to the forum based on your personal mistakes and losses. Knowledge alone cannot make you a quality poster and a good contributor in the forum, but experience will always serve as the best teacher most especially for the newbies in the forum.

It's good that you're attempting to participate in forum conversations, but I believe your issue is that you still lack the knowledge to contribute to some other boards discussions; you're more active in the policy and society discussion boards. I want to tell you that because you are still new to the forum and need more understanding about it, I can see that you desire merits to build your account and rank higher.
So, strive to generate topics that will educate the forum members, and I believe you will earn merits and learn more information from the responses you may receive from the post you establish.

As a newbie, you should familiarize yourself first with the forum rules as was stated in this topic: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/unofficial-list-of-official-bitcointalkorg-rules-guidelines-faq-703657

After reading the rules, ask yourself this question: what is my goal and purpose on why I joined this forum?

After knowing what your goal is, it is now your duty and responsibility to at least know yourself with the basic fundamentals of cryptocurrencies. You can start by utilizing the search bar for questions that you have in mind. You can also watch videos on YouTube or read free materials on the internet to familiarize yourself with all the terminologies so you won't be confused here.

After reading and arming such with information, you can know create threads or comment on boards to provide discussion about a certain topic. Be reminded that before you post any question, check first if it has been asked before to avoid any spams and duplicates.

multiply read what is in the forum and make you interested. it will grow your knowledge which will help you grow in the community and be active in forum discussions.
some people find it easier to get started in their local forum, it's very easy to get referrals from seniors. and of course, if you want to rank up, you can see some members rank up pretty fast. learn how they got it all. but don't be too hasty, just enjoy yourself in the forum. there is a lot of information that you can get. if you're on a forum chasing something, it's just going to make it harder for you to grow.

Visit your local board and communicate with the community over there, you'll see members like yourself and they can guide you properly on how to navigate the forum since you're finding it very difficult as you said. Take away earning from your mindset as that's one of the major things limiting members growth on the forum. Build your account before you think of monetizing it with the signature campaign available. Learn before you want to earn and follow the forum rules and regulations so you don't regret making avoidable mistakes. Look for the board of your strength and concentrate your writing their while you also visit other board to gain additional wisdom.

When you concentrate your writing on the board of your strength, you gain awareness on that board due to the quality of your posting and your posts get highlighted with merits. For the other boards you have little or no knowledge on, focus more on reading instead of trying to impact knowledge that you don't have yet unless you want to sound stupid while doing so and get on many people ignore list and meriters blacklisting you for been a spammer or generic poster. You don't have to rush the forum because no matter how fast you grow in merit, it'll still take you some months before you can receive something meaningful for your signature space. Welcome to the forum.

First you need to familiarize yourself with the rule of the forum.  It is the first step in securing your stay here in the forum.  Second, exercise reading more than posting, because it is where we learned more about the forum environment, members traits and the member interaction.  Reading can also help us accumulate tons of information and knowledge.  If you learned enough, look for the opportunity to help others by giving answers to their inquiries.

You can also present a good topic for discussion but before creating one, make sure to use search function to see if there is already an existing topic and depending on the age of the topic, you might make and additional input on that topic or create your topic if the existing one is too old.

I think the orientation starts with reading all pinned posts of different boards around the forum to help in guiding everyone of us in the do's and don'ts of the forum for starters. By so doing , you won't be caught unaware of vices such as plagiarism, spam etc and also find your strengths, if you are into altcoins...we have a board for that, if mining or coin collectables is your thing there is something for you here its all about finding your strengthsa and building on it.

Yeah the pinned message are the most important topics that a member should read, especially when they are pin topic on Meta and Beginners help.

I would say dont limit yourself with this notion of being a newbie,  it's a simple journey if you ask me..all it requires is to read more within and outside the forum on crypto related issues as this helps to broaden your crypto knowledge that will help you become  part of the different conversations that go on here on the forum, if you have the time, can you can also follow some youtube channels that explains some of the new crypto technologies in a simplified manner and this can help someone here when they need some explanation and what not...

Keep on researching and more reading, most of them should be interesting topics and the current trend in the crypto market. Since you've said contribute, you've got little or big knowledge and if you've seen that knowledge hasn't been shared by someone then do the intiative to share it to the community and that's a contribution. If you're more into Politics and Society discussion then focus in there if that's what you think you'll excel and not just that, make sure that you're enjoying discussing those topics there. It's important for you to enjoy and show that you're natural and truly have passion over all those topics.
Invest yourself in those crypto related topics so that once you gain high knowledge on it, it will be easier for you to share what you have learned. And of course, be ready to defend your answers as it’s the best way so you can be trusted by other members and learn from you. And not just only focus on broadening your knowledge but also learn to accumulate a lot of experiences as well. When you have both knowledge and experience, it will be easier for you to get the sympathy of other people and just easily believe on what comes out from your mind.

You can’t contribute much with little knowledge. You can use the forum broaden your knowledge since almost every important information about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general is already posted here.

You can use this knowledge that you accumulate here to share it to other newbie like you when they are asking or when you are in discussion on other user in different threads. You should do a lot of research and don’t be contented on your limited knowledge if you want to contribute because everyone here is already familiar on crypto basic knowledge.

Do research, accumulate knowledge and past the torch to other user. That’s how the forum work.
Never stop learning in the forum as the more you have stocked knowledge, the brighter your future will be in the forum. Also, gain more experiences too because personal experiences when shared to other people, then your post will become more realistic and convincing to them. And in order for you to grow in the forum, give respect not just to the superior in the forum but even to those who are considered newbies. That way, you will have something significant to contribute by serving as a role model to every forum member.
