Now I don't know about you lot but lately I have become getting so infuriated with shitty news journalism that I thought it would be a good idea to compile a list of posts containing the worst ones you've ever seen. Now I want to establish guidelines to show just how shitty they are not through silly bullshit opinions, because you anyone can write that off as a bad day or someone not double checking their writing enough and it will devolve into a mud slinging match between the various ideologies here.

What I want you to do is find the ones that completely butcher basic mathematics ( My favourite ones are the percentage based polls if you need an example ) and the ones the completely ignore basic science, say for instance they declare something that can completely defy the laws of physics like the stupid Hadron Collider scare awhile back where you had morons thinking it could create a black hole.

Here's an article I found recently on Scottish Independence:

Blow for independence campaigners as new YouGov survey shows 59% set to vote No in referendum

Quote

THE campaign to keep Scotland in the UK has opened up its largest lead of the year, according to a poll.

The YouGov survey of 1171 Scottish adults put support for a “No” vote at 59 per cent compared with 29 per cent for a “Yes” vote.

Note how despite the fact that it's 59% of people out of 1171 which is barely even a chunk of the labour or conservative voting base the article keeps constantly trying to convince you that this is an absolute disaster for Scottish Independence. So basically it'd be a bit like if on Bitcointalk someone had a poll and there were only 59 people voting and 80% of them voted about how the government sucks and then they gloat about how 80% of the Bitcoin community hated the government, it's total bullshit.

This butchering of basic percentages isn't new either, I'm going to go around scouring for more articles and I bet I'll find the same stuff on huge elections as well.
