You do not go into NFT world as your first investment, not as your second neither, you get into NFT from the profits or basically just your "money aside" and not real capital. Why is that? Because NFT is art, mostly art at least, and that means your investment to finance and your investment to art are two very different things.

If you do zero investments anywhere, and start it with art then you are not going to be making profit as quickly and it will not be smart decision since the valuation of something is based on the buyer, I may think it worths 50 bucks, someone else may say 50 million, who knows? Get stuff like coins and tokens at first so you know what you are doing and how you could profit, then after making some profit you could start investing into NFT as well. Not saying NFT is bad investment, obviously many people made some profits, it is just not the first ever investment you should make.

It depends on your belief and the way you think and envision about a certain NFT or coin/token. I usually invest on both NFT and coin/token because I’m diversifying and investing on amounts that I can afford to lose along with proper risk management.

But most of the time I’m having gains on coins/tokens, and having some experience selling a rare NFT for almost x3 of my investment despite owning a lot.

agree with you, currently, NFT is booming and quite profitable for short-term investment

but for long-term investment, coin is recommended over NFT because we don't know how long the current NFT hype is

coin is better than nft, maybe nowadays many are switching to NFT but that's not the reason why NFT will be "more". Storing coins for a long time (long investment) will be better especially bitcoin.

Of course the money is yours and when you need serious advice I think you are already someone who understands the basics between them. What do you need? Is it a short term profit, or will it be for a long time? I think DYOR everything will be necessary for you.
I don't know NFT's popularity will last long. for me it's just a new season of crypto. I didn't even think that works of art could be applied in the blockchain world and have fantastic prices that can reach hundreds of dollars..?

What coin and what NFT? There are as much shit coins as shit NFT collectables that you should keep away from. But at least with some coins you usually have better liquidity if you want to exit. But honestly, question like these makes me think that you should do more you own research on the tech before investing to anything.

Just a reminder: What ever you'll end up buying; be ready to lose everything.

It's difficult to suggest what to buy with your $500 without knowing what's your risk profile, your income, your hobby, etc. I'll give you one example. There's a $500 casino NFT that grant you x% discount/rakeback forever. In that case, if you are a heavy gambler, this NFT is a nobrainer opportunity. It will save you a lot of money in the long run. Another case is you like to play game monster x and need NFT to play the game. So spend $500 to play your favorite game is also okay, and you can always sell it later when you stop playing.

BUT if you know nothing, do a simple research first. Coins and NFT are a risky "investment."

Definitely coins.

NFTs are virtually useless outside of being a picture to look at.

Coins and tokens have actual utility that can be harvested unlike these NFTs. When the hype dies down, you'l appreciate this tip.

How sure are you that your NFT next few months will be worth More than what you spend and how about maybe just finding good game or project and putting the money and sleeping Maybe at the end of the day It does 10x I hope you see my point But still you get to make the right choice Some nfts few years ago are worth pennies Now mostly hundreds of thousand So I think dyor and decide for yourself

I don't recommend you to investing in NFT, because right now NFT is hype and the price can go up very high, but when the hype disappears then of course the price of NFT will be difficult to increase, therefore I would advise you to invest in coin, because if you invest in coin, then of course you can invest for the long term and definitely get a profit if the project that you invest is a good project.

There might be cheap NFTs that could double or more in less time.
Yes,I think NFT is an opportunity in the short term.  Long term is still bitcoin, ETH, or BNB.  I think the market structure is getting ready to break the structure for NFT platforms, a lot of cross chains are established by bridge.  Example: The latest proposal from the Doge bridge - ETH shows that the coin meme also wants to play the NFT game.  Personally, I'm still a fan of NFT, but I still have doubts about its future.

maybe, NFT is not for short term, some of these rare authentic NFT items are also for long term. however, it is hard to know how valuable it will be in the future. you can't even assure yourself if it will fetch higher price than your buying price. will there be interested buyers who will be willing to pay if you decide to sell it in the market? also, the challenge when it comes to NFT item is you can't sell it fast when you need it. because you need someone who is also collecting such item, and not many people are interested for some specific items.
unlike with regular coins, if you select good coins which are usually top coins, you can easily trade it in the market when you want it. so for the OP, he needs to gauge the factors between the NFT or the coin he wants to get involved with. list the pros and cons, and weigh which factors are important for him.

The really new NFT is growing and ramping up a lot of “hype lately, it's riskier to invest in NFT as we are yet to confirm its future growth space and niche, though  it can create greater opportunities.  While the leading blockchain platforms have been confirmed as the future and have a large number of users trusting and supporting such as bitcoin, ETh, ADA or Sol, etc., ADA is still showing impressive growth rates and still  Cheap at the moment.  So my advice is to coin( ADA)
Your suggestion is very correct and I also like Cardano at this time because in general Cardano has started to grow to continue to grow and become stronger in the future, so it is very worthy to be chosen and also accompanied by several other coins as you have mentioned that.

I did not invest heavily in NFT just yet but invested in some of the NFT project which i am certain that it will rally in due time as there are some legit projects which shows promise and are able to attract new investors to the cryptocurrency space. I participated in a few NFT drops and i am happy to hold them for the long term and who knows what the value would be, some of the drops that i got can be sold for over $100 and above which is not bad for a free one.

While the leading blockchain platforms have been confirmed as the future and have a large number of users trusting and supporting such as bitcoin, ETh, ADA or Sol, etc., ADA is still showing impressive growth rates and still  Cheap at the moment.  So my advice is to coin( ADA)
I always prefer Bitcoin over any other mentioned projects, i might risk a few in some of the hyped projects for the short term but i am not going to invest in anything else this quarter as i am happy with the investment so far.

I'll buy that bitcoin or ethereum.

That's for the better I think and that's what I'll be selling if I have that amount. But you bet your investment and what do you think is going to be a good investment for you.

There might be cheap NFTs that could double or more in less time.
my choice is here. bitcoin and ethereum are the best coins right now, and most likely the price will still pump. perhaps the potential for NFT is still quite large at this time. however, to minimize risk, bitcoin and ethereum are the right choices. or, you can also choose between ETH or BNB. however, you can see a coin from its current development, whereas NFT, it is very difficult to predict whether the price will go up or not.

Currently, the NFT phenomenon is in progress, so it is clear that it is still new and if you look at it it looks like the prospects are good, but because it is still new, it is very risky and this could only be done temporarily or it could be something that actually continues to develop.

it is better to be clear of course to wait, so that later NFT can be better known and recognized. Of course, it's still on the coin because the prospects have been seen and proven so far.

Of course coins, because NFT is for collection only, and will be difficult to sell again.
Choose a coin that already has good fundamentals, so you can profit in the long term.
not all collections are not good, there are still those who really like it and indeed there are collectors of their own, the problem is because the shape is new and is currently being liked. but again, of course, it is clear that it will be full of risks in the future because there is no definite proof that it is still something that is loved recently. so it's possible that someday it will stop, or indeed there will be its own audience.

for that it's better now, I agree to stick with coins and it's clear that they already exist and have been proven to be recognized and sought after as promising investments, but if you want to try, it's best to buy and make investments that are not expensive and are indeed loved.
