I would consider the best advice here is to "always do your own research first" and read almost everything and explore everywhere on any different board of this forum. We should not limit ourselves in finding the right information since there's a lot of misinformation all over the internet plus full of scammers almost everywhere. Always use your common sense first before acting according to your own emotion.

So, good luck on your journey – it may not be easy but as time goes by you will find what you are looking for.

What's the best advice you received here, pass it on to me!.
It has to be "anything that looks too good to be true, is prolly a scam", take that axiom very seriously because i can state categorically that it has helped me avoid falling for scammers in my stay in the crypto network, mind you also that newbies are usually victims of this, so it is best to learn it early, newcomers are usually aroused by how they can make "free" money from the network, that is cause many of them have this mentality that the network is a get rich quick scheme, thus they fail to identify what looks too good to be true, so make sure you pay particular attention to that.
Always look into scam accusation section once in a while because the project you are about to promote or invest money on could already be exposed as a scam.
The scam accusation section can help you to identify a scam project or other whatnots, but mind you that it might not be comprehensive enough, so you must take your research to broader areas than just there, mind you also that not every project is a scam even if someone accuses them, what i am saying in totality is: "Do Your Own Research".

Holla bitcoin Forum,
I'm New here, what's to be done, although I had a brief about this.
What's the best advice you received here, pass it on to me!.
Might be useful in my journey ahead here.

If there is one lesson that helped me ranked-up and contribute to the forum, it is this advice: do not chase for merits by spamming posts; create substantial and quality replies and merits will be the one chasing you.

Unfortunately, most newbies nowadays are so obsessed with ranking-up their accounts in order to participate into campaign signatures. While that is totally understandable, it somehow creates hundreds of pages of spams across the forum which somehow degrades the overall quality of posts. If you really took your time reading and understanding the replies, not only do you help other newbies but you also help yourself.

I can always remember two pieces of advice I got here a few years ago vividly. It's almost like they appear before me ceaselessly daily –

1. Grow a thick skin if you want to survive on this forum because words often come as ruthless. That's, don't be a sissy if you want to keep strong otherwise you will always be hurting.

2. Avoid those who won't make business discussions public but like to pm you for deals, especially when you seek clarifications. Often, it ends up that they're scammers.

At first you have to study the environment and know the major concerns of the community first to avoid breaking of the rules and regulations of the community in order not to adventure into complications of the community, you have to take look at this link Newbies - Read before posting. That topic gives helpful advice before you make posts or create topics.

The best advice I have received on this forum is that not all things are for everyone.
So, everyone needs to know which aspect of the crypto industry suits them best, and focus on that.
One should not try everything, but concentrate on one or several things, and dedicate one's time and money to it.
Also, each of us needs to have a clear goal and exit strategy and stick to that.

Don't try to copy others, be yourself, and be the best that you can be. Don't develop an opinion based on what you think others will like. Say things even if they aren't popular if they are true. Concentrate on the things that interest you and that you are good at. It's easy to spot a fake user, so be honest. Learn, search, and think before posting.

When i was new to the forum there were lot of things to learn and i only knew little about bitcoin or say was familiar only with that term as it was new.Slowly gained momentum as i spend time on forum and still was struggling to rank up after the merit system implementation because was not making quality posts.

But then there were some high rank members whose discussions and useful threads I see and got to know enough from it.Then i was keen to enhance my knowledge and then there was no looking back and see now the results in front of you.

The best advice I got wholly from all members were as follows :

1) Give more importance on increasing your knowledge which will benefit you in long run.

2) Invest in Bitcoin and hold for long term.

3) Be safe in this risky crypto market from free giveaways and other scams.

There are lot which we get and give as members of bitcointalk community but it's on the person who use it for his benefits or not.

In all the advice I have gotten from this platform in summary it means always be yourself.

Be real and that will get you going.

If, after creating the topic, you have received a general understanding of the issue that concerns you, get in the habit of closing the topic. Otherwise, you yourself will indulge in the fact that the topics you created will turn into a mega stream, which in fact does not carry anything useful, except for shitposting.
The point is that you read, read more, then learn how to use search, and if you can't understand something, ask. But then, close the topic.
That is what I propose to do to you now.

Truth is, everyone has received some sort of advice on this forum, and almost everyone will have an advice to give you, some applicable only here on this forum, while others have general applications for your journey through crypto. The best advice that i have carried from this forum that has assisted me in making investment decisions is - "Only invest an amount you can afford to loose".

This forum gives a lot of information that can be used in your daily things in the world of cryptocurrency so if you have a question the forum is always open. Also as possible don't be a member doing is to spam, plagiarize and troll it doesn't benefit at all. Forums teach me here is always seek at your own risk because at the end of the day your decision is important to make a profit or a loss into different mistakes and learnings.

I get much worthy advice that I got from members right here.
Here are some that maybe you can also take from the experiences:
- DOn't be shitposters, that is why so far, I always try to make better and better posts, but sometimes, I still have mistakes because of my lack my understanding of the topic or knowledge.
- Learn, learn, and learn. There are so many things that we can learn from this forum, just read, learn, undestand, and implementation
- Don't be too greedy, it relates to the investment or trading when taking profits because we can be easily too greedy and then lost our chance to take profits.
- Be careful of scam projects, they are commonly too sweets of promises.

Not necessarily advice, but what I've observed: even the most reputable people can end up scam quitting one way or another. It's one of the downsides of pseudo/anonymity — they can easily scam people and leave with little to no trace.
Can I say: this is one of reasons I like this man 'mk4' ... A spade should be called by its name, don't you get that? A reputable member can decide to scam anyone and that doesn't change the personality of the person you knew him for ...afterall he's been here for a long time so he can simply erase the traces as he said, the best option is to stick to the purpose you came for and if you're doing any fund business on the forum, look for a trusted escrow that has been used several and confirmed for it's honesty, then you're good to go. I'd say on my own part that: there's gonna be a time that you will be fed up of just coming online to read some wierd text, maybe for being humiliated by a superior personality but you should also at this point, remember the purpose why you got registered at first, the informations you've gotten in here and every single fringe benefits that awaits you and stir yourself up with it, see ya out there!

The first thing I learned from the forum was about contributions. If you wanna become an established member of this forum there are no alternatives. And of course, for that, you need to learn from here and spread the knowledge new generation. Once a time I was a newbie, now become Legendary here through contributions only. So just follow others' advice and contribute to the forum.

Almost all the replies are the same and they are absolutely right.
But there is one thing that I would like to expand " Do the right things and not even try to break the rules or else you will suffer the consequences". But it was you who could decide it, either...
We have to be open-minded. We all haven't a good start in here and probably experiencing mistakes so hearing advice and corrections are very important for us to grow and should be responded to in a positive way.
