I don’t care
Activity is something based on posts so it's kind of related but at the same time it doesn't mean that if you post more you gain more activity. However,if you don't post for let's say 6 weeks you will not gain any activity. If you have posted in just 1 of those 6 weeks,no matter how many posts you made in that 1 week you will still gain a limited activity based on a certain period which will not be for the whole 6 weeks.I hope I explained it at least somewhat understandable

But like hilariousandco has stated, If I made 154 posts now I'd get my activity straight to 154, regardless of the 14 points limit. Whilst, if I made a new account today and managed to get to 154 posts on there, my activity will stop at 14. Basically, since I haven't been active for months, and since I haven't got 14 points during those weeks, now I still have the possibility to earn those points.

If you can observe your post counts are always updating everytime you qoute a reply, reply to a topic or starts a new topic. If you posted a 5 times in a day, saying you have a 5 posts count, it will be updated quickly making it 10 post count. It will not stop updating if you will not stop posting, but I prefer not to do that. Activities are counted by the post counts you made in a week, but how did post counts are more than activities if it is counted by my posts. Because it is only limited to 7 activities per week, 14 activities per 2 weeks where it updates your activity.

Upon Checking on https://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info/?token=5des01v5 it says that your account has a potential to reach and would stop only when you reach 86 posts and so as your activity... That means after that, the growth will be normal again, it means you'll have to wait 14 days again to have an added 14 in your activity...

How should I interpret "Potential"?
Potential activity: 154 (Potential Full Member)
I thought the only requirement to get Full Member rank was 120 Activity.
Also it says my potential activity to next potential rank is 86, but my current activity is 78 and 78+86=164... thought it was 154, lol? Not to mention that 13 weeks of activity are equal to 91 activity points, not 86.
Uhm, I honestly don't get it...

If you make 154 posts you will have 154 activity and no more. If a person signed up to this forum and made 154 posts in a day they would still have 14 activity. But if they made one more post in the next new period they would then immediately get another 14 taking them to 28 activity.

Oh, so that's why I keep getting points for every post I make, it depends on the "age" of the account.
Alright, thanks for clarifying  Smiley
That statement is true but you still have to consider that to be able to get that activity points, you still have to post atleast once every 2 weeks (activity update). If you don't made any posts for a certain period of the update, the accounts age will not matter as it will not have any potential activity.

I haven't made any posts for a certain period of time, but I still have a potential activity... I mean, it looks like I'm getting the points I haven't gotten before, even thought I've already been given 14 points.

For example

You created a new char today , and succeed made 2000 post in first 2 week !
But as by rule, activity only increased 14 every 2 week , so

Your current activity : 14 not 2000
Your current post : 2000

I got that. But what if the Account has been created a long time before I started posting that much?
Would the past weeks I haven't been active in, be counted? Are we supposed to get a total amount of activity points based on our registration date?
Sorry for all these questions but I want to be more active on here and I'd like as many clarifications as possible.

Kinda confused. Basically you get one point each day you post, or you get 14 points if you post at least once during a period of two weeks? I had 73 activity before I posted this, now I suddenly have 75, I don't seem to understand the system at all... Thanks for the reply.

Essentially, yes. You can build up activity. For instance, if you only posted once in each of three fortnightly periods you would have 3 posts but a potential activity of 42. If you then made 50 posts you would still have an activity of 42 until the new periods starts then you can get another 14.

Oh well, I see. However I still feel like my Activity points are being assigned for every post I make.
If it's 1 point everyday, and the limit of points you can get in the span of 14 days is 14, shouldn't I get only 1 point per day? Or is it actually given on the basis of posts?
I mean, let's say I post 14 times but it's still day 2 out of 14, I'd get my 14 points since I posted 14 times, but if I kept posting I wouldn't be getting any more points till day 15, right?

I have been a member of Bitcointalk for a while now, but still I couldn't spot the difference between these two statistics. At first I thought they were the same thing, as I've seen the number of posts and activity matching the most of the times, but I eventually realized it's not necessarily like that.
So what does it depend on? Shouldn't posting be considered as part of your online activity?  Huh
