Hype?

There are A LOT of FUD articles nowadays. I was wondering if there are any opposite articles - encouraging people to buy, buy, buy!

Though I guess they're really unusual.
I think the opposite of FUD is hardfork.
when there's an announcement about hardfork, bitcoin or a certain coin might become in demand and its price will pump.

I think hype is the right answer, such news causes prices to increase without a reason. Unfortunately this end up with such crash. In both crash and hype, losers are same  Smiley

Pump and dump strategie. But I don't think that would work good enough after the market felt in a long dip cus of that speculants.

I would say even the FUD sometimes act as opposite of its intended action for those that are smart and even the people who are responsible for the spreading of such amount of information. For someone who relies on FUD two days ago and acted on it when there was massive bloodbath would have gained considerable amount today if he is to sell now. The ability to discern an information makes it a FUD or not and not the information itself.

There is a lot of FOMO article to counter FUD too. You can try to read it in various crypto news site. But it seems a bit difficult to see the article that contains FOMO to the crypto. But these days i'm seeing some articles that encourages more people to buy crypto.
But that depends on your self about how your perspective about that article.
agreed, most of news are more on fuds these days and i think social media pages has hit the crypto market really hard this time with all those news around the world like everyday you'll see "ban" "regulation" etc.
FOMO on the other hand i think will mostly on private groups where moderators there encourage people to stay strong and keep buying while the prices are low.

Probably hype train.

Even a lot of people jump on it every now and then.

Nevertheless an XRP been hyped that way straight to the moon and some guys made a fortune on it. Just take an average coin, add some zeal ardent hypers and that's probably is a way to get HELL LOT of money

Opposite FUD is there are a lot of crypto guru HODLERs) After loosing 50% of your depo you must make x2 to return loses. This can take months or even years, only very few people with lot of money can do like that: bought and forgot for a long period.

I think you only hear well known figures in the cryptospace such as Mcafee encouraging people to buy rather than sell in the wake of poor prices and dips.It is rare like you said to see media articles that write about that explicitly. The opposite of FUD to me is confidence and certainty of the future.lol

The opposite of FUD is FOMO. That is Fear Of Missing Out on an out bound alt coin rocket to the moon. People would buy an alt when it has made 2x or 3x in a short spam of time thinking that it would never stop and get dumped upon by sharks. Ripple is a perfect example fi you look at the recent charts.

The opposite is the overconfidence bias. And I believe 90% of the community has it now after the big surge of cryptocurrencies.
So many people have been trading coins and made a lot of money. They believe that they made it by smart decisions, while in reality the whole sector went up and you would have made money regardless what you are holding.
As a result, they believe they are great traders and when the bear market comes, they will face the truth and learn a costly lesson.

it is "hype" and since this is the altcoin board you can also say the opposite of FUD is the pump groups ordering the sheep to buy some shitcoin and that is what encourages people, i mean the sheep to buy.

otherwise if there is demand for something, people will buy it and the price of that will go up even if it is pushed down because of FUD.

I also do not see the opposite article, probably because altcoin or crypto currency is now a lot of that mempercainya and will certainly encourage people who still do not know to join him.

I guess the "opposite articles" would be the hype threads we see here and on telegram.

The opposite of FUD would be FOMO (fear of missing out). All of them are generally created by news, either fake or real, and are deeply rooted with lack of knowledge about the investment that is being made. Although FOMO might be getting the price up, which might look good, is as destructive as FUD in my opinion. FOMO is what leads people to call BTC a bubble. It's not because bitcoin can't work, or fulfill it's potencial, but it's because it's growth was made based on hype, and when the hype stops and people start selling because of bad news, or simply because the price is not going up, they all start selling because they are in a lot of pressure since they made an investment based on pure speculation.

Hi,

Maybe FOMO ?  Smiley

More seriously, like Toygg said, I think it's confidence and trust.

In my opinion, FOMO is a more suitable opposite to FUD. FUD induces emotional reactions leading to panic selling while FOMO also has that emotional characteristic which lead to impulse buying.

I am just wishing that the market will rise by next week, looking to cash out for my trip:/
There are possible signs that the market might recover soon, but then again it could be a bull trap!

Indeed this is very difficult to find as it is easy to spread FUD than to encourage buy. However, I would suggest you go on youtube and look for some videos on some crypto enthusiast who given great information. Like i watched a video titled 5 tips to help in Bitcoin crash by Doug Polk or a Bitcoin millionaire who explains the Bitcoin Crash
