We always hear people posting about their awesome trades and/or gains but very rarely hear about the stupid things that people do. With that in mind, let's hear the biggest brainfarts you've had while trading crypto...

The worst decision about trading I ever did was I bought a coin when the price went down but it turns out the coin prices continue to fall and now I can only hold it and wait for the price back up because I do not want to lose. by selling it cheaply

I think this is not your worst decssion. you bought the coin when that coin price went down that means bit early you bought that coins that's it. don't worry if the price recovers then you will get your investment back with profit. suppose if you bought coin when the price was high then you can consider that as your worst decision.

I did this mistake in a few trade and now i decide to do long term trading because look promising higher profit than short trading. Now i will focus to trade base on fundamental analysis and doing long term trading. The worst thing I ever did was sell my bitcoin at a very cheap price, I had a huge loss. At that time I experienced a sell panic because the price of bitcoin decreased drastically

In CryptoEnergy we trust
Right at the beginning I made mistakes and acted incorrectly. I believed that having bought a coin she will grow all the time, but there were reductions of price and I panicked, sold and lost money. But there has passed time and I have understood that it is necessary to wait and have patience

I don't think twice in that time and only sell by instant but now, I will hold my bitcoin and I will sell it if the price is more than $20k but if I have an urgent or I need the money then I will sell it to fills my needs. I think I can handle my emotional to not selling my bitcoin even if the price is drop like yesterday

When I started trading, I made a lot of mistakes. The biggest one is when I bought all my money bitcoins at a high price. And when the price started to fall, I panicked and sold all the bitcoins at a low price. Moreover, I did it several times. Only after losing more than half of my capital did I realize that I was doing everything wrong.

When I sell all my bitcoins (120 pieces) for 1000$ a couple years ago)) In that moment I didnt believe in bitcoin and now I feel myself very foolish((

you still have another chance to buy bitcoin again and hold it for a long time again and not sell the bitcoin if the price does not increase more than $20k. I think many of us have the same mistake and maybe we have the same worst trading decision but we don't have to regret it and we can make it again like before and maybe our luck will come again to us so we can make a bigger money again. and if we can move from the past and we can learn from the past, I think our future will be good than our past.

The worst decision I made was not having bought 2 bitcoins in 2013 when I had a chance lol .... I also recently should have sold my bitcoins in December when 1 bitcoin was 20 thousand dollars lol

It's when you cannot wait for the coin in it's low price. Really bad decision when you join when it's pumping then you decided buying it while it's on it's peek, later on you can see that the price is turning down. lol

We all make mistakes. But I have to ask - you had $120k worth of Bitcoin but you didn't really believe in the project? That seems pretty mad to me (although I understand that $120k doesn't mean as much to some people as it does to others)

I spent all money I had to bought some small percentages of BTC, XLM, XRP, ETH, and NXT at the price around USD 12,5k at the time, upon suggestions of my friends who was get in cryptocurrency earlier. They assumed that btc cs would never fell beneath USD 11k. As a newbie, I followed their suggestions. Since then the prices were fell deeper and deeper. If only I knew that the price will be around at the price on recent days, I won't b rushed to spent all my money to bought them, so I could do better investment nowadays where the prices are more sexy.  Grin
I learn lot things since then. And those things lead me here, to learn and study from true masters of cryptocurrencies. Respect!

That's not such a bad trade, tbh. If you believe in crypto, you'll believe the price will go up. It's easy to think that you could have got more bang for your buck if you timed the market better but very few people ever buy at the bottom and sell at the top. In a couple of years 12.5k will look like a steal! Smiley

Mostly they all have one thing in common and that is fear or panic. The worst was selling a big holding of Ethereum when it previously dipped from $300-$200, i wasn't thinking sensibly and was panicked because of what the investment meant to me in real life. I guess in turn the mistake was investing too much.

Being impatient and selling my coins at an early pump.  That was the worst decision I ever made, instead of having a profit of $200k, I only got $50k due to selling it my coins pre-maturely.  I was waiting for this coin to be pumped for several months, then after seeing it going up for 10x, I sold my coins and then after 2 or 3 days, it goes up even higher. Oh well I just told myself I already have the profit and need not to be greedy lol.
That was not so much a mistake but a rushed decision, after all you still got 10x profits which is not bad, that gives you a lot of money to make other investments, besides it is very difficult to sell at the very top of a pump, as long as you are close enough its fine also you will get another chance to redeem yourself since you seem to be good at it, in my case I never had the opportunity to make that mistake because no coin except for bitcoin has pumped 10x when I'm invested in it. It was when i bought a lot of coins and after that the price of it keeps dropping and dropping to the extent where the price of it is lower than when i bought it but i kept my patience still and waited for months but nothing happen Sad(
People should know that before entering or buying an amount of coin for us to serve as an capital for an investment we should first take time to learn the possible trend of a specific coin where we would know the project as we are going to be a part of it. I think we should first take a trial stage whenever we are going to invest a new coin so if we are going to loss we does not just rely on a specific coin future. We should also learn to deal or to manage earning bitcoin.

I do not have a worst decision when it comes to trading because I never tried to trade yet. I'm just open and I have a little bit knowledge to what trading is.  Through this I am very careful enough in all decision that I will make to avoid the possibility of loss.

I think my worst trading decision is EMC2. LOL. I spent about 0.2 BTC to buy EMC2 when its price was only 0.00001 BTC/EMC2 then I sold it for 0.00002 BTC/EMC2. Also I doubled all my money but if I were more patient at the time maybe I would have earned more than that 7 or 8 times cause only 1 month after that EMC2 price rised to more than 0.0001 BTC Sad
