FUD is a negative word. I think you meant to say, "FOMO". Well, it isn't going to stop. It's the trend whenever a Bitcoin bull run sets in. Crypto, just like any other type of trading, is speculative and people are allowed to dream big or become scared and skeptical. The forecast doesn't mean it will come to past. Traders and speculators just want to feel cool. Though I believe 2021 is going to be fantastic for Bitcoin, I don't see it hitting $100k within a year.

No, I mean FUD, I know very well what FUD and FOMO means.

If you ask me, 100k USD is a stretch. That much rise will probably not be happening right away. A more feasible target would be 25k.

This is the effect of optimism and therefore will not stop.

Just like people become greedy about stuff and don't use logic similarly they make such predictions and see nothing happen.

We are rather seeing a resistance at 22k USD again - probably selling pressure as people are booking profits. Be logical and sell some at this price to make sure the flow of money remains even.

Change the title op. It's FOMO as the posters above pointed out. Anyway, why so serious? What's the big deal in speculating random prices regarding BTC or any other cryptocurrency for that matter?

Chill and view these speculations in a positive manner. People love to guess these things and I am pretty sure you would too.

Some of the speculations logically make sense while some don't though this is pretty subjective. This is just another regular activity in the crypto world.

What do you mean by stop? You cant stop people predicting the value of the bitcoin, just ignore any predictions of other people, they are their predictions and we cannot blame them for doing it, well that is their standard for trading, just don't believe them and predict at your own. 100k is quite possible for the following year, we can see a good movement for the price of the bitcoin but still, time will tell.

If you listen to random people online that give predictions without anything to back it up it's your own fault anyway.

There are always going to be some people that give these kinds of predictions whether they're negative or positive, so at the end of the day you're the one that should educate yourself in a way that you don't have to rely on some random person's word, if you're active and invested in crypto space but you don't know much about it you're doing it wrong and sooner or later you're going to lose a lot of money because of that anyway.

I think what you meant is FOMO which means fear of missing out, this is a bad instrument for those who don't know anything about crypto like newbies but some times FOMO can become a reality, the only time I like FOMOing on is in bullrun season like what we are seeing presently, FOMO is bad and at the same thing it's good too

I believe it's more appropriate to use the word Hype rather than FOMO, FOMO is when people join the trend like buying even though he has no idea what's going on while Hype is exaggerated prediction which cause FOMO. Many influencer use this method to make people feel FOMO so that the coin they are shilling will be pump.

If the statement is so exaggerated and you feel it. That's obviously a hype.

Because people want to spread positivity and also many whales want to create a fake demand so that they can gain from it, remember if this will became successful and they create a FOMO thing they are the one who get the first to benefit from it. That's why we need to be careful from this since sometimes those figures given is hard to reach and we will be surprised since they are the one who dump first and accumulate the profit.

It's human nature as investors wanted to see more out of bitcoin price and they are going to promote it as $100k could be breach in years to come. Although hypothetically it can be achieved, but it will take more time to get to there.

We more more trillion dollars to push the price, we need more investors, institutions and probably those calling for $100k wanted to let those people know that bitcoin market is still open for more money.

Easy to remember obviously, that's why we have heard rounds numbers as the price they wanted to see bitcoin, from $20k to $100k. That's just normal though, ceiling are going to be higher every time we hit a new all time high and people are going to create a lot of noise again. There is another set of people who says $300k is within reach in the next two years or more.

Some people may think that talking like those figures may funny or some people are just making fun of it. Some people are troll, and they are using it for trolling purposes.
There is nothing wrong for thinking some impossible figures like what OP mentioned. But for me, it is possible. I am also hoping those figures in the future.

People loves to make FUD's aren't they Cheesy. Do you think that it is a FUD after all aren't you?

You might change the word FUD into FOMO and is there any wrong with what they are doing?? Most of the predictions that they are giving always have a word "might" or "can". You have 3 choices after all. Either ride the train and follow these investors who can easily get FOMO'ed, just ignore all of them and do nothing or ignore all of them and make your own move Smiley.

Why do you care that much? Even if you whine, no one will be able to stop this FOMO. Its not like its a negative thing anyway. If you see one, you can just ignore it. Anyone can say whatever they want as long as they are within the rules.
Seems to me that we got special snowflake, what is it to you if they do not stop cheering for 100k milestone and what is it to you if they do stop? I don't get why is it a bad thing that people are optimistic about the price increase of bitcoin, isn't that a good thing that there is FOMO which could psychologically affect people into going in for the ride. The good old adage of minding your own business is very useful in your situation now OP and the irony of this thread is that it seems that OP is the FUD.

What do you mean stop? We are waiting for the bitcoin price to reach $100k, and it's only a matter of time to see it. Meantime, we have more time to buy more bitcoin at a price now, and if you do not like to buy bitcoin at any price, you do not have to do anything but watching the price up to and down. If the bitcoin price can hit $100k in the next year, that will be a big moment for people who own bitcoin from a long time ago and for people who already buy bitcoin at the current price, they are making a lot of profit from bitcoin.

It's completely possible, probably why people are more positive of it since we're experiencing a sort of high with the price reaching a new ATH. If only one person were claiming it to be possible then it might be FUD, but honestly, with Bitcoin coming from what it started to now? I honestly doubt people would doubt it reaching 100k. The chances may be little from what other people see, but in reality, the chances are always 50/50, no one can really know what and how it would end up simply because it isn't controlled or managed by anyone, which is why the predictions for it could go as high as that.

You can't really stop it, just like how no one was able to stop Bitcoin. Reason? Cause you can't control both of them.

It's not a FUD when we're all saying that bitcoin might reach $100k. There's the keyword for that, "might".

Before, we used to say that as well when we're in the bull run. The encouragement and positivity that this bull run is bringing us those things and gives us hope that another all time high might be reached by 2021 or so. That's not wrong though and we're all speculating with this speculative asset.

If it won't reach $100k then that's fine, we're still a holder but if that wish goes into reality, everyone will be cashing and converting for profits.

The expectations for a 100K USD Bitcoin price are just wishful thinking. Many BTC HODLers want the price to become 100K,so they are constantly sharing the expectations of a possible 100K price in the future, hoping that it will become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
More hype creates more FOMO,which boosts the demand for Bitcoins, which boosts the Bitcoin price.
FUD is not what you think it is.FUD is an abbreviation, that means "Fear,Uncertainty and Doubt".

It can, optimism: people optimistic about the price with what it is now at the end of 2020, it can be a joke, caricature, mockery: people doing such to justifying/clearing themselves of not going to buy. Regardless of what it is, fix your optics on the current mood, cook-up/manufacture possible future-mood with that, stay glued/grabbed to reality than illusions.
