I'm extremely new and this is going to be my first post. It's a little disheartening to learn about this, but elegion is right. You'll see discrimination almost everywhere else. I am relieved to read the replies. If I ever encounter something like that and it escalates I'm pretty sure reporting would help solve it.
Come on, more than 80% of users here are not trying to punish you, i never heard about somethink like that, we try to help everyone with their problems!

Needless to say. I talked about "beginners" and not about the user rank "newbie". Many here are producing an outstanding amount of low level posts just to get in a higher position fast.

I think people who look down to beginners is fine. I am a beginner, and I'm fine with their look. It just an online forum, it's not affecting my life or my money. So why should I worry ? Just ignore them, and keep posting. Every pro used to become a newbie too. If you make mistakes, go fix it. Keep posting, ready, and asking. Always learn about this crypto world, that is the most important thing. Do not mind about other people think.

Too many beginners without knowledge lower the bar. Most stupid questions can be anwered with google. In every field pros look down on the lazy beginners. This is completely normal. Try harder.
I am sure there is a lot of newbies who have knowledge even more than some upranked members ...
A newbie is not always newbie to crypto , he may be expert but joined this forum recently...But in an other hand there is such kind of newbies who are so lazy to do small research and ask repeatedly questions

Friend ,if you are thinking of what people say about a newbie you get it wrong, i think nobody is interested on what anybody post except you are not following the rules or you are too desirous to make it to the new level.

Not all mate. We been through that before. So we know how it feels mate. Just ignore them and do what  is your objective here. Some higher ranks thinks that they are really superior to anyone here in this forum. But in reality, they are just wanna be genius or mr. know it all. Talking nonsense and mocking others. But when you look at their posts. Most are shitposts and nonsense posts. My suggestion is just ignore them. Study every sections around this forum. Im pretty it will give more ideas how you can help the community. Rank is just a title mate. Knowledge is something you can keep forever.

You see, I love this forum. I really do. Because it gives us a lot of opportunities to earn bitcoins and to learn a lot of things about the crypto world. But why do I get the feeling that there is a big discrimination to us low rankers? I mean I have seen a lot already that lead me to this  thinking. Like replies on posts of low ranking members that already judge the person even when they do not know the person.  Also on bitcoin signature campaigns, only a few gives opportunities for jr.members. But hey, You know what, I get it, this is because most of us low rankers often spam because we easily get excited in the thought of earning. But is it really enough reason to judge us and think that we are trash in this forum? Or that we are not capable of doing what high rankers here can? If you have bad opinions about us, at least keep save it for people who deserve it. Not to posts that aren’t really pure trash. Although it is good to say these kind of things to open eyes, but I don’t think it is fair to say it on low rankers who actually put a fair effort in building their posts or are just really curious which is why they ask questions.

I really cannot explain any further perhaps other low rankers out there can share their thoughts too. High rankers are also welcome to say something.
Yes, it is frustrating when others would look down on you because you’re new. But we should also consider preparing ourselves for anything we would enter into doing. Bullying is quite expected for new comers. This has been part of most systems. But we should be able to condition ourselves physically, psychologically, and emotionally. If we get affected so easily, we won’t be able to advance. Unless the account was purchased, every member on this forum started as a newbie. So the high ranking ones should remember how they started...

Just remember this is the internet and anonymity gives a lot of people an excuse to let out their shitty nature. I made an account because I usually just came here to get info and learn but when given the chance to participate in an airdrop that my friend suggest I get in on, I had my first reason to make an account and got shit on right away for that (this is account #2 because I was OCD about the name and wanted to change it). Granted I know how it looks to see a "Brand New" account asking for handouts so I don't mind that.

So now I'm slowly trying to build up my account and participate a little more in discussions

Everyone competition about anything, it's not just about bitcoins or any coins/ tokens, that's normal in our lifes, so that's why. Everytime person who is better will point you that you are beginner.

Maybe people just don't have time to answer to everyone and they need to have some filters to understand where is the most interesting info could be. Rating could work as a filter... So I do not think people look down on Newbies, everyone started here as a Newbie.

Play2Live presale starts on 5th December
they're not looking down on us they just want us to read around the forum. self learn like that.

Yep, reading the rules, QnA, how the forum works, is needed... And as there's the Rank system, we need to post too.. It helps both your account and the forum grow bigger ~

I Also think we can't generalize every newbie has poor knowledge, as there might be "silent reader" member who has no interest to post ~

Many thanks to all that shared their own point of views. I did not post this topic because i have anything against high ranking members or anything, I was just plain curious, and because i think a lot also are wondering, i thought i should ask it here, because this topic never gets talked about. And I am glad that a lot of low and high ranking members of this forum shared their opinions. And I see that every point of view that everyone shared are really honst amd true. I hope this thread opens eyes for everyone to respect each other no matter the rank, low or high. and would be more careful in writing replies that may unreasonably hurt someone intentionally or not. Because we all here are lovers of crypto currencies., we should know better than to step on one another. We all share the same reason of being here, may not be exactly the same, but you get my point. So i think it is just right for us to understand and help each other the best we can to become better together rather than striving for superiority over others.

Good day everyone. Hope this reaches your hearts and minds and helps you guy to understand both sides.

Valid point. As a beginner/newbie on this forum it's very hard to get noticed / personalized answers. More often than not we're left wondering and confused. I know because I faced this issue myself when I was just getting started in the field and had a lot of things I wanted to understand.

your platform is good but need to wait for someone to answer your question 'only someone who diligently will answer' my suggestion you better change in order to directly answer in real-time.

Semantically satiated.
Hmm yes I also think so, but not every newbie behaves like that. Also the Legendary members started as newbies so you shouldn't treat every new member like that.

To prevent airdrops and bounties from cheaters it would help to set the lowest rank which can participate to "Jr Member" I think.

I've never seen anyone treated in any particular way because of their rank. There are plenty of legends who attract constant derision because of the pathetic shite they write.

It all goes on behaviour and newbies often behave in the ways outlined above.

This sums it up pretty much. I saw plenty of legendaries that should have at least improved their grammar and basic english after writing +1k posts but are just contributing garbage to any conversation they enter. I guess there is the hacking factor in that case too we should consider.

Despite the avatar restriction I feel everything is pretty legitimate to avoid people spamming worthless stuff. Although I think allowing signature campaigns is just an aberration and enters in complete contradiction with this, there will always be users to take advantage of this and fill their post quota as much as they can with probably multiple accounts.

In the end your rank does matter, but probably not as much as your content.

If you've been on the forum for more than a year I wouldn't personally class you as a beginner - but I know what you mean it's a thin line between wanting to be involved and increase your rank and not wanting to provide useless information or spam anyone

Best of luck with it!
