There are many smart contract platforms on the market right now each with their unique use cases for the world. While Ethereum remains the most popular smart contract platform in the world, its competitors have been providing some attractive features that are hard to resist. Some dApps available on rival chains are not available on ETH and vice versa. From gambling to "De-Fi", there's a dApp for everyone.

I'm curious what's your favorite dApp? Mine is UniSwap as I'm able to swap one ERC-20 token to another with ease. There's no middleman involved, making UniSwap better than most exchanges out there in the crypto/Blockchain space. What's yours? Roll Eyes

My favorite DApps are :
1. https://app.uniswap.org/
I use UniSwap to swap coin that I have to other coin (ERC-20), because it is not complicated (simple) and the process is very fast.
2. https://pancakeswap.finance/pools
I use PancakeSwap to do Pools, because in my opinion doing Pools on PancakeSwap is very easy and profitable (gives me a lot of passive income).

but for now I only use PancakeSwap and stopped using UniSwap, because gas fees from Ethereum are very expensive.

My favorite app so far. I want to talk about Uniswap, a decentralized exchange on Ethereum. It is very convenient for us to trade quickly, but with the rise in the price of Ethereum, the transaction fee has been too expensive recently and is rarely used recently.
This is why uniswap now has a very low volume, we hope the cost will decrease soon so that everyone can return to enjoying uniswap in peace, uni swap is a dapp that is very easy to use for everyone, especially for beginners
that depends on the whales. Sometimes when the whales are thinking they can't get the fast confirmation and it will make them all to trigger the fees used so many transactions that used very big fees,
That has been making the fees gets increase drastically. If ethereum will not fix its scalability problem and this will become a disaster for us.
When the price of ethereum increased a lot and this will make fees is also getting higher.

Next dapps i am invest to is ONE from xsl labs so i can monitize my data and keep my privacy in safest place ( pulsar )

To be honest i have not used many dapps as of yet or maybe im not sure if i was using dapp or no. The only one i use often is uniswap and i like everything about it other than high fee and charges which is kind of a hurdle for even more trading and volume there.

My favorite is BSCSWAP and Pancakeswap right now. I don't like Uniswap now because they are the fee killer. $100 for 1 transaction is too expensive for me.

I'm beginning to like PancakeSwap because of its low fee model and quick transaction settlement speeds. That's thanks to the high transaction throughput of Binance Smart Chain. If this keeps up, BNB might be able to surpass ETH in the future. The high fees on the Ethereum blockchain, makes "De-Fi" impractical. UniSwap's popularity might decline because of this. Despite Ethereum's high fees and slow transaction confirmation times, there are so many dApps on the ETH chain that cannot be found elsewhere. This gives ETH a huge advantage over its competitors.

My favorite dApps are usually decentralized exchanges and swap platforms as I believe they're the future of the crypto market. Both PancakeSwap and UniSwap are my favorites right now, because I'm able to exchange any token to another quickly without middleman. There's virtually no trading experience required other than knowing how to interact with smart contracts using your wallet. I'm also quite fond of gambling dApps on the ETH blockchain. But again, the high fees makes decentralized applications impractical on ETH. I hope that developers build solutions on competing smart contract platforms, in order to give people an "exit route" from Ethereum. Until then, we're going to have to wait until ETH upgrades itself in the future to be able to experience low fees and quick transaction settlement times like before. Just my thoughts Grin

then my favorite dapps on the ethereum blockchain are zapper and 1inch because in addition to being exchanges / swapps they are also the agregators that means they find the best odds for swapping or staking by analyzing various defi sites, instead on the bnb blockchain my favorite dapp is pancakeswap

Yes Currently, the most popular blockchain Dapps are Uniswap (ETH) and other protocols are Pancakeswap (BSC), Justswap (TRX).
Actually I like Uniswap because we can easily exchange tokens to another assets. but the transaction fee is so high, so I rarely use it.
you forget about sushi the second-largest swap service in crypto and this swap service was offering various service started from the swap service, staking with BIG APY, lite swap and many more.
sushi swap is very underrated at this moment. I have the same problem like you when it will be a very difficult thing to deal with the tx fees on ethereum chain.
yesterday I must have paid $10 for a single transaction and that's crazy.

Like yours OP uniswap also is on the list of my favorites. But if you knew Matcha dex, you can also be glad to use it. Its a product from zrx team, it has lesser fee than uniswap and its design and efficiency on trading swaps are totally good. Less fee, with less congestion it could also be a good platform in the future. Take note its from zrx team, there are hearsays as well of potential drops from some prominent users, but since they denied it. Not sure, but of course there could always be changes right? Who knows in the future they decided to create their own tokens.

Very nice observation. I didn't know this was possible before. It seems to me that Matcha DEX is a better alternative to UniSwap. Low fees will make decentralized trading great again. The only thing is that UniSwap has better adoption in the mainstream world, whereas Matcha DEX is not known by many people yet. The project is going to need to ramp up its marketing/promotion efforts if it wants to gain traction in the mainstream world. Otherwise, it'll become a failed experiment that will eventually fade into oblivion.

Basically, any dApp is good as long as the underlying blockchain network is free from congestion. Fast transaction speeds and low fees is what makes interacting with dApps extremely practical. ETH's ever-rising fees will scare away the public from getting into "De-Fi". At least, there are alternative blockchain networks with better transaction capacity than ETH. What they need is a wide variety of dApps to be able to compete with ETH. Otherwise, Ethereum will remain in the lead as the #1 dApp platform of choice among developers and individuals alike. Despite the high fees and slow transaction confirmation times, UniSwap continues to be the favorite dApp of choice among many crypto users because of its widespread adoption in the mainstream world. After all, it's the first decentralized instant exchange that started it all (as far as I'm aware). Just my opinion Smiley

You basically generate passive income without doing nothing in return (sort of). Synthetix is also a great dApp with its "Synthetix Tokens", allowing anyone to virtually "stake" their tokens over time for profit. It's like a bank savings account, but completely decentralized.

Thanks for your thoughts Wink

But for this part.... There is no such thing as passive income for nothing. Like on TRON I have friends who made 6 digits a month from "passive income", you know getting part of casino revenue and that, but however, first of all its become REALLY low over time and in the same time the price of tron has decreased dramatically compared to bitcoin so they lost alot of money from their original trons.

The "passive income" and "stake" stuff just seems like a very good TRICK to attract alot of people. When really you will be much better off going into projects that have an actual value and buying them cheap and holding until its x50 or x100 or even beyond.

Most people seem to choose uniswap as their favorite Dapp, and i think so. I have used a few similar products lately but get lower fees and experience on it is also much better than old uniswap Dapp, Matcha is a name that seems new but I think it is. may be used more commonly in the near future.

For me too Uniswap has changed the game and made things better and easier the only downside at the moment is the high transaction costs, if that is somehow covered or an easy solution is applied this platform can become unstoppable.

I have used a number of dapps in the last few years but I don't have a favorite or where I stick as I move onto which fulfills my need and attracts my attention. I choose DEX based on price and fees while I too visit some of the gambling dapps. Among them, I have spent most of my time on wink, though the project is now slowing down (dying), it used to be a popular destination in early 2020. Among the platforms, The most popular dapps at the moment are from Tron, than from EOS and the least from Ethereum.

1. UNI
2. 1inch
3. Compound
4. Synthetix

The swap service can be the best way to generate the passive income through become the liq provider and this is the simple dex that can be used by anyone. It's secure and safe.
I just take another defi like compound and synthetix caused by I'm also actively getting passive income from the lending service too.

The swap service is good but the only thing that I don't like it is only the fees

Decentralized instant exchanges are ETH's "killer" app, as they allow anyone to switch from one cryptocurrency/token to another without any trading experience whatsoever. Without middleman, decentralized instant exchanges (or swap platforms) like UniSwap (on ETH) and JustSwap (on TRON) will become indispensable tools in the crypto/blockchain space. I often enjoy being a liquidity provider for UniSwap, due to the benefits it provides. You basically generate passive income without doing nothing in return (sort of). Synthetix is also a great dApp with its "Synthetix Tokens", allowing anyone to virtually "stake" their tokens over time for profit. It's like a bank savings account, but completely decentralized.

While most of my favorite dApps live on the ETH blockchain, some developers have started to build alternatives on competing blockchain networks like Binance Smart Chain and TRON. These ETH competitors have faster transaction speeds and lower fees, making "De-Fi" extremely convenient. ETH's high fees are not economically feasible for the avid "De-Fi" user, though. In other words, costs are NOT negligible on the ETH blockchain (unlike TRON, BSC, and others). If I made $10 staking on Synthetix, I would end up with less money in the long run because of ETH's high fees. Unless ETH scales, its competitors will dominate the "De-Fi" industry. At least, there are a wide variety of options to choose from. Just my thoughts Grin

that's great, I'm currently using uniswap, dydx and mooniswap. which makes me like the dApp because we can also easily use the swap service to convert our coins safely. but I agree with your last point on the issue of high cost.
