I really like Scandinavian countries. I'd like to live there, but it may not bring disappointment. Once my mother wanted to go to Paris. She had seen enough romantic movies and believe in a fairy tale. When she came back I was very very disappointed. Paris was a dirty hole with raging Arabs.
Other than my own? Would love to go to New Zealand. Love mountains and rivers. Loved reactions from Kiwis when John Oliver made fun of a politician there.

It's because Italy as a country wasn't unified until 1861. IIRC some Ethiopians do speak Italian though, it's the one place they got to.
Well Italy's armed forces have been complete shit ever since Rome collapsed. Ever notice how there were Portuguese, French, Spanish, and British colonies all over the world but no one really speaks Italian outside Italy? Yeah, it's not because they were too nice to colonize. Just too incompetent.
They also gave the Allies one of their first victories in WWII when they fought off an invasion from Italy.
