I tried mining with my daughter's computer for a while as mine is elsewhere, unfortunately it doesn't do very well and gets so hot that it blue screens.  Nvidia cards don't seem to do so well at this and I doubt that it's covered the price of the electricity, and this one's card blows the heat out inside the case so it just makes everything overheat.  Maybe I need a truckload of ASIC machines instead....

Core2Quad Extreme QX9650
GTX580
4GB DDR3-1600
Fire probably coming out of it if I keep trying, not worth it.

Just got together a 3x Sapphire 7950 rig, mined only a small time, PSU is having issues. Just
ordered another one, will be back at it on Tuesday, I hope. Tongue

Out of the box it was getting 1800kH/s easily. Some tweaking will take it closer to 2000kH/s assuming
the new PSU works correctly this time.

Right now I have 2 rigs:

Rig 1:
3x Sapphire 7950s

Rig 2:
4x Gigabyte 7950s

I want to add another Sapphire 7950 to rig 1. Right now though, I get 4.6 MH/s. Smiley

Is there much to be made in other coin types, I find it hard enough to get bitcoin into GBP, surely other currencies require quite a bit of work to move them around to whatever you need?

I'd love a BFL box... even just the 5GHs one. I did read up some more about flags on the GUIminer and now I'm up to 56MHs  Smiley

A dedicated PC with a 5870 and a 5850, running at a total of ~600MH/s.  My home machine with a 5870, and the kids machine with 5850, which is another 600MH/s when I have them running.

I've got a 5GH/s BFL on order, umm-ing and err-ing about ordering a 25GH/s one.

I sometimes try other cryptocurrencies, but it's mainly LTC

Does it pay to mine LTC for BTC? Isn't there a fee to exchange one to the other, and doesn't that negate any gains you make?

I had two 5870's overclocked to 900mhz (would frequently stop mining to play League of Legends) and a 6870 mildly overclocked. Was getting 1.1Ghash/second but I stopped after the difficulty rose past it being worth the electricity cost. Damn ASIC's...

Just started this week, for fun.

Running a 7850, 2xGTX560 OC (bought over a year ago for my gaming rig), and messing around with a 7950.

Debating on building a full blown rig with 3x 7950's....Of course, I probably "need" another gaming rig anyway.

.....riiiight...

Still messing around with the thought of just ordering 2 Butterfly lab jalepenos, which would be cheaper than 2 more 7950's anyway. But, it would take time for them to get to me.
