Well, for now, I think altcoins season will start when btc surpasses its all time high, until that happens, altcoins will be going nowhere but dip. Again it is my opinion, I might be wrong.
When bitcoin price increasess, altcoin decreases. When bitcoin price decreases, altcoin decreases as well. In both case, altcoin suffers. When does altcoin price increases? Why market follow this behavior? Please share constructive reason behind this.
As far as I know, altcoin session or momment will always begin whenever bitcoin price doesnt move too much or get stagnant but still giving a positive look. Basically, everything is about bitcoin and we can't deny it.Yes, we can't deny it but it also baffles me that altcoins only move these days when bitcoin is moving and falls when bitcoin falls. Market stability is required cos earlier before now, altcoins do not follow such trend.

Many investors still don't understand the pattern the market follows, altcoin price don't rise or falls because bitcoin price has risen or fallen. It simple raises due to the interest coming from investor's hoping to diversify their investment for more profit. So in simple term, Altcoin price rising when bitcoin market dominance decreases. Note though the decrease of market dominance of bitcoin doesn't totally indicate the down thread of bitcoin price instead it meana investors are now diversifying that's putting their money somewhere else (altcoins).
Due to the halving event coming in few months time the market dominance will keep on increasing which means Altcoin market share will be decreasing which results to further price decrease.

we cannot know for sure when altcoin price will increase and for now the price of Bitcoin is increasing but the price of Altcoin is not increasing because people are focused on investing in Bitcoin, because for now BTC Domination is 64.2%. therefore altcoin price does not increase, but I am sure if investors start to investing in Altcoin, then the price of Altcoin will definitely increase very high (bull run), so you don't need to worry about investing in Altcoin and I suggest you not to panic sell (still hold), because I'm sure altcoin price will definitely increase.

I agree with you mate. I don't think the bullrun of 2017 will be the same for 2019. The altcoin bullrun this season might not start from the top100. Btc is still the strongest coin.

I do not believe that the domination of Bitcoin will be above 70%. I think that 65 is the maximum figure for this time, when there are already more than 1000 coins on the cryptocurrency market.

if the bitcoin dump is deeper, there is a downward effect from the altcoin that will occur. it's equally bad, because now there are stable assets that can be used as alternatives. bitcoin might go down even deeper, but if a bitcoin pump happens the altcoin might be left behind again. if I think altcoim's price movement also depends on the position of the bitcoin price, if the price of bitcoin gives a pretty good price, I think the altcoin price will also follow the price movement of bitcoin.

It all depends on BTC dominance, because in 2017 during the bullish market, the dominance was around 40 percent which gave a healthy boost to every altcoin. Right now, we are waiting for the next ATH. After this happens, BTC dominance will go down.

You forget to take not too that when altcoins price starts increasing, bitcoin too remain stagnant. Anytime that bitcoin becomes dominant, it is the period where people pay attention to bitcoin more and everyone wants to take part in the profit, some outs in more fiat to trade at that period, and many people that does not have, sells some of their coin to buy bitcoin, so this make the value of altcoins decrease during the bull run of bitcoin.But there will come a particular time too that bitcoin will stop increasing and remain static for a long period of time, this period is when investors starts taking money back into altcoins, and them we see some altcoins surging, this makes other investors to join out of fomo, and before you know it, altcoins too will also record a new all-time high.
It is the nature of altcoins, however, so far, several altcoins have better change. Even when the BTC price is decreasing, some altcoins actually experience price increases (with BTC pairs). But indeed, the price of altcoins will actually be more stable or increase when the price of BTC itself has stabilized at a good rate.

If you see back to 2017, we saw Bitcoin, ETH and Other Altcoins pumped simultaneously. From the 2nd half of 2018 all coins and tokens dumped. From April 2019, BTC has pumped from $3500 to $13000 but alcoins dumped even regularly. I hope if BTC stables at $10k+, altcoins will start pump soon if no rumor comes once again.

There are many good quality coin (altcoin) out there but still bitcoin is the most popular and ambition coin in crypto industry. So it's totally natural thing if bitcoin price on effect altcoin price. And most important thing when bull comes there is too much complicated to thing which going to bump and which gonna dump.
