I'd say yes. It will pass the 1k.
But just after crushing the 1 k ceiling, it'll go down again until the 600 or 500 just as it is right now.
Halving will have a strong effect on it but it will come back, a too high price it won't be sustainable.

It will pass but I don't think it will happen soon. This year may be far too optimistic if you compare it will past pumps, I think and hope next year we will see a pump like this year which will bring the price of bitcoin over the 1k. Such a pump would be very good because of the time in between.

Yes $1k can be touched at the end of the year as we will find many new investors in coming days and may be we will not see that price at halving.

I think that there is still a small chance of it happening this year but that means that the price has to go and rise allot. If it does not happen this year the it 100% has to happen next year. So the chance is biggert that the price is going to be $1000 in 2017.

I am pretty sure the price of bitcoin will arrive at the price of $ 1,000 within fairly close, maybe if halving occurs again, the price of bitcoin will actually arrive at the price of $ 1000, and maybe when that happens, there will be selling in a panic, even I might sell bitcoin for which I save. $1k price is not at all easy to achieve we need to wait for long time and also need to have great level of patience in holding our coins till we see that high price.
majority of bitcoins nowadays are controlled by china, and chinese people are hopeful that their bitcoin domination would save their ailing economy. eu and americans won't allow the chinese people to dominate in bitcoin industry. so the best thing to do is they wolud stop engaging in bitcoin trading and that would make the bitcoin impossible to hit 1000 or more, unless the eu and americans controlled the bitcoins, there are possibilities that the bitcoin would rise up to the moon.

$1k is easily achievable now and I don't think we need to wait longer to see that price, may be we will see that price at the time of halving.
It is possible for the Bitcoin price to pass $1000 this year but for that to happen the price has to rise again. We first have to wait what the price is going to be like after the halving. Then we can see if it is going to be possible to reach $1000 this year.
It will depend on what price we see at the time of halving, if price crosses $800 mark at halving then we may see $1k price in the end of this year.
