1. When BTC is raising, people are moving capital because they are greedy and inpatient, they hope they will earn more on BTC.
2. Price in BTC is falling but price in USD stays, I do not have chart now, but on tradingview you can create chart where you can create formula to see it even only on BTC - with capitals
3. some people are spreading hype to sell high
4. some people are spreading panic to buy low

When BTC goes up, altcoin goes down because most of altcoins depends on BTC's price. For example, ETH's price is equal to 0.04 BTC and when BTC increases its price, the ETH's price will go down because it needs to follow the price rate. We can say that altcoins are inversely proportional to BTC's price so when BTC goes up, altcoins go down.

It's like the old habit, when it goes up down the altcoin will go down. it's because people sell their altcoin to get btc.

I have some doubt about Crypto network , BTC is the major one i Know but when BTC is going UP Why ALTCOIN is suddenly going down what is the link between BTC  and  altcoin ? I'm new to Crypto network, These days I focus on BTC veriation and Altcoin veriation then I get this problem.

Hope seniors help me to clarify this matter

I think that what happens is that there is a limited amount of money currently moving in crypto and when bitcoin goes up it absorbs a lot of money from the market and that leaves a very low amount of money for alts and that makes the price of all alts to go down, but I think we are going to see a small decrease in the price of bitcoin and that is going to make alts to go up in the short term.

Bitcoins increase the price of most investors will immediately withdraw from the altcoin to bitcoin to increase profits so if you notice, when the bitcoint price increase, the volume of the altcoin suddenly dropped to altcoin will discount. At times altcoin along with bitcoin price increase
Money could stay in BTC, it depends on the people that were wanting to see how much the network improved because of it.

BTC is considered the "standard" in the crypto world and it usually drags the market along it. It has the highest market capitalization (over 100 billion) and the other half belongs to all other coins. Since BTC is so well capitalized (there is so much money invested in it) it tends to work as a "hedge" against other coins. What that means is, that when BTC is going up in the past alts where going down and vice versa, but now that BTC is gaining more market share again we're seeing the opposite, that alts move according to BTC (if that goes up, alts go up as well). Having said that, traders still try to find a balance between BTC and alternatives, so when money is flowing out of BTC it usually goes to other coins (there are many good potential projects out there who can gain millions and billions in capitalization in the close future).

When bitcoin growing and altcoin go down it is fork fault. People sell own altcoins for buy as many as possible bitcoin for get bitcoin gold who can give great profit. It is all
The hard fork is one of the reasons why Bitcoin is getting pumped and there is nothing that people here can do about it. Just wait it out.

Well before sometime... There was the opposite, if BTC went down all Alts went to! Now after the first hard fork ,when everybody got free money from bitcoin cash, there was another fork on the way... So everybody took out their money from alt coins and put them in BTC in order to get again free money. The second fork never happen and now all these people will put their money again back to alts and new ICOs...

It’s kinda simple actually . It’s about the way money flows. When bitcoin starts to gain some value all investors take their money from alt coins and invest it in bitcoin. That helps bitcoin gain even more value. In the other hand when people take their money from alt coins they lose value.

Most of the people holding Altcoins trade them into BTC, as they are preparing for the upcoming bitcoin fork which an expected market price of the latter (BTC) might happen. If there's more demand due to this kind of event then supply will suddenly increase its price. Once its all over, which I believe will last for a quarter or until 1st qtr. nxt year, btc price will be constant with a few ups and downs and thats the time altcoin prices will regain its composure.

For many bitcoin and altcoin are substitutes and thus as the price of one is increasing they substitute their holdings of the one in to the other. So when bitcoin price is trending upwards people are keen to get a hold of it and so they dump their altcoins to free up funds.

How do you know it will be worth more than 1000 USD? You surely know more about BTC as I only got my blockchain fever a couple of months ago but this fork really got me worried. It does not look to me as if this fork will just follow the pattern of previous one. It feels more like a serious power struggle. On a different note I am not worried for the ALTs in general or Ethereum. Quite the opposite.

Most of the cryptocurrency day traders have no bank accounts to access their fiat, but they are free to pair trade with Bitcoin, they are mining altcoins

To dump for Btc, and there are some people holding the majority of some coins, a week from now when Bitcoin will have a hard fork and a split.

A new altcoin Segwit2x will get listed on exchanges, more Bitcoin is = more Segwit2x, why would they keep holding altcoins with low and stupid

Prices when they can get a coin worth more than $1000 by having Bitcoin?

This is a long known relationship since a lot of coins are quoted in BTC. So when the BTC value goes up, alts BTC Value goes down and the fiat value stays about the same therefore
Yes, when looking at the USD price charts there are often no rapid changes and people prefer to perceive altcoins rather in fiat currency. There is also this thing, that when bitcoin prospers well or there is some interesting news, like it was recently with the forks, which would give literally "free money", investors are selling all of their altcoins to be able to invest as much as possible in the bitcoin, therefore raising it's price even more, while dumping alts.
