when etherum POS starting,GPU miners will cry . Grin Grin Grin

Yes. But we will find another profitable coin to mine. If the Etheruem changes to pure PoS, its value will not rise as fast.

Miners won't cry because the coin will become unprofitable to mine before it goes POS.  ETH has a difficulty bomb to encourage the nodes switch over to new POS software, the network will not approve the switch until there is no more profit in mining.

I give it about a year, by next summer we can expect the switch to happen pending delays and such.

The difficulty bomb will be defused as the PoW mining will continue for some time before the PoS out.

The PoS implementation will be later than expected. So the difficulty bomb will be defused in the futur.e

I also think the cost of the mining will help determining the floor price of the coin. That could be the reason for the high price in Etheruem now.

I wish the PoW can run for 6 more years, so the premine will be reduced to 20% or less. that will support the price.

Pure PoW might not happen after next year. PoS was proposed. I think it will be implemented later next year.

Like I sad it reduced by small margin, no one cares its still a scam, if premine was 10-20% I WOULD understand but ~80-90% NO!

The premine is still about 80%. If the PoW continues for one more year, it will reduce to 60%. But PoW will finish next year.

Ethereum is controlled, centralized and premined asset, only entity behind P/D and premine could tell you that

The proportion of the premined coin is reduced day after day due to PoW mining. These coins are sold in the market as well.

72M is premined, so for only 8M is mined, you do the math!

The premind coin of 72 million is fixed. But there is no mined coins every day. So the proportion of premine is reduced.

I remember seeing something posted somewhere about "pushed back to mid 2017" - but I might be misremembering the "mid" part.
Definitely 2017 sometime unless it gets delayed more.

It is pushed back to mid 2017 and the PoS will be introduced in stages. First just to verify blocks, then work together with PoW, then pure PoS.

Do you have any source for this claim?

That's some good news for me to be honest.

I would be a very happy person if it would go ove to POW + POS, not just only POS.
I think a lot of people wouldn't mind it like that Smiley

Greetings

PoW can give the support of the price. That is the reason why the bitcoin price is so high. No other PoS coin can beat that.

Nobody knows for sure, even dev team  Cheesy

i want to build new rig for mining but if the POS will be start soon , i will cancel to build it Sad

Go for it if you like risk.

i like risk, but this is make me confusion sir.
like some people says, if POS starting next day, what can i do ?  Huh

Switch to lyra2RE or just wait there will always be gpu coin
The question you need to ask is... if you're in this for the money...
Do you have less than 0.1 per kwh electricity ?
If you don't then there isn't point mining unless you're not doing this for money.
