Certainly so. ICO projects that come quickly and leave no impression on investors will have to stop quickly. I think people will stop creating so many icos when their expenses will not be covered by investments!

Hi, everyone!

I became familiar with ICO world only 3 months ago, now I see how many new projects have appeared during that period.

I think the amount is enormous, so many different projects even with repeating ideas!

When do think will this rush stop and why? Huh

This rush will never stop and there is no way to stop it because there are millions of people who are making the ICO projects and who think that they will become billionaire with the projects that they create. yes this is the greed for the money which they are having and thats why they not gonna stop at all. ICO has become easier way to make money, raise it for the projects and develop them legally to generate the passive profits in the market.

Im 100% sure that 99% ICO are scam and only 1% comes with the genuine ideas to create the projects they are wishing to publish in the market. This has now become very difficult to find out which one are those in 1% and this is all because of this rush you talking about.

Nothing will stop unless and until their ban from the government side.

Yup, welcome to the world of ICO mate :-)

That is how it works here, and so many shit projects will be formed and published here on the forum itself. What you have to do is pick the right choice and legit choice for yourself to invest your money. Thats not easy isn't it, so its better to read about the ICO, look out for the signs of scam and ask people around the forum before you can invest your money into it. You should be watching out for the announcement section and see how people are looking at the ICO which you are going to engaged with. There are many ways to it and what I would suggest is get engaged into discussion always and watch out the social news about it. See the patterns for that particular idea, whether it is repeating and if yes then what is the new addition and much more. All this can give you clues about the success. So there is no way but to invest after you study the thing completely. :-)

That's why most of them are trash and you are right they are just copying ideas on one another which you would find out that its not really need to have lots of options on what they are offering which would turn out that they are already useless or not really needed at all. If I do see some unique projects then I might consider it and would plan to invest but for those who are just copying from another then theres no value on those coins for sure.
You cant stop it because anyone can create their own coin and launch an ICO.

Certainly so. ICO projects that come quickly and leave no impression on investors will have to stop quickly. There are currently too many ICO projects but not much success. Investors are more cautious with the ICO.
Most investors are getting smarter each day and that is a good thing. The reason why we are having so many ICOs now is because there are still some naïve investors who just drop cash for any project they see. A time will come when people will only start investing in projects with value  and discarding unreasonable projects and with that we will hardly be seeing any scam ICO in the community or worthless ones.
Not only ICO many other currencies in the world will stop because there are no investors to buy those currencies, and so is the ICO, and after China’s ban over ICO the market value of this currency fell down to its knees and I think that soon it will stop because no one want to invest in ICO when there is bitcoin available in the market, because everyone wants profit against their investment and not to lose their investment.

I don’t think that this race of coin will stop as more and more people will come up with new coins it will only end when a global currency is declared like bitcoin than this other currency will not be used by any one as due to this no one will invest in this and ultimately it people will stop creating new ICO's and they will understand all things. So ICOs are increasing every day and people are investing in it so lest see who will win this bitcoin has already won this but.

If there are investors willing to pour out their cash to a ICO, then there will be no stopping them. Mind you, there are really good ICO out there very unique project. So they won't also be stop. Yes, it may slow down, but we all know people are always thinking of a good project to come up and introduce to the market.

I do not see ICO stopping so soon as there are so many project that are involved. Rather I believe that project proponent will go deep to work on their projects that will surely impact on the needs of humanity. It may slow down but will continue.

Its more like decentralized crowdfunding and crowdfunding will never stop but rush over ICO specially people being fooled by scam projects must be stopped. There are still many ICOs without any legal registration and no any beta products. Only a plain whitepaper + big promises of profit sharing is being enough to attract millions of dollar which will soon stop when people will realize that not all ICOs will be successful.

True words. It will take some time until people realize that many ICO's wont achieve what they are promising. It will be in fact as with all other startups: 9 out of 10 will fail. In fact, with ICO's its likely that even more will fail, because they dont even have a MVP, in many ICO's people are investing in a vague idea, described with big words in the "whitepapers". Many wont be able to deliver anything due to a lack of skills. Just by throwing a lot of money at someone doesnt mean that this person or team can suddenly achieve everything. On plus there are these huge money grabs that are hurting the whole space, how can we throw hundreds! of millions at projects without anything to show? There is a reason for VC funding rounds, its to protect investors, and for the good of the startups as well. But crypto space has to learn this the hard way.

To understand when the ICO rush would stop, we need to understand who exactly is the one who really wants it.

Governments  seem don't care enough, or no resources for them to stop it.
Who else?
Everyday there are many ICO's that are new so in this case we couldnt say when it will stop. Maybe I guess it will rush stop those without plan to develop their project. They just wanted to hype the investors so they can earn money.

No one can really say but as we start seeing more regulation of ICOs, we will start seeing some reduction in them and we will only get to see those who are serious and not just ready to do away with people's cash. However, it is a new era and I must say the rush is still going to be very much consistent for a while. So many ICOs are gradually coming up every day and I am surprised that investors are not getting tired. Grin

Regulators already came down on ICOs without much avail, so I don't see much changing on that front.

The ICO rush will stop once people stop throwing their money at overvalued projects of questionable viability which I don't think will stop anytime soon. The market definitely has cooled down a bit, but it seems to be rather easy to just pump out worthless vaporware ICOs, so this "business model" could stay profitable for quite a while still.
I concur. When the investors had become smart enough to be picky in choosing what projects worth throwing their money. Since some are having their hopes up that it would multiply their BTC a hundred times or more then they tend to throw their money to whatever project that is which, basically, the concept had been made by other projects also.

Sure it will continue for awhile but when the investors became smart enough then repeating convepts of projects like this would slow down and so as ICOs since it needs brain power to craft a unique concept.

I think ICO rush won't stop unless people are cautious in investing in ICO.
Because it is not that hard to create a fake whitepaper and team.
There are lots of Scam ICO's who got million of dollars from Crowdsale.
For that reason people are not noticing the real and good ico.
And few Government's are also trying to regulate ICO.

ICO still will continue because we believe that ICOs are truly revolutionary and will continue to evolve and will become an amazing vehicle for developers, entrepreneurs and investors who are looking to innovate and change the world by just showing their concept aka a whitepaper. It's our decision how to choose the best ICO, we have to be very careful and always check the background of the team creating the ICO.

perhaps it is very unprobable for ICOs to stop completely, but we'll see less of them as the already existing tokenized projects fail to deliver.

It never stop. ICO is the effective way to mobilize capital. They won't stop. Maybe their ideas can repeat. But it is no problem. The important is that who do better?

ICO rush will stop soon. I think forkcoins are going to be the next ICO. I mean look what just happened with Bitcoin Gold. There was this huge rush and huge marketing campaign and all these people were talking about it, but nothing is coming of it because the devs probably just used it to pump and dump the price. What did people think was going to happen? They're all scams.
That's not fair, ico rush won't end in a short or long. This will continue, because we're in the early days of blockchain technology into usage. Based upon the same more and more projects with blockchain as the base keeps entering the marketplace with vision set to be reached after years. So, growth through ico keeps the cryptocurrency community grow.
