I am currently 100% in altcoins and wondering when we can expect the next big alt season?
No one will know, the trend might change and the same goes for the narrative of the market.

I plan to hold all my altcoins till this alt season when alt coins are performing better than Bitcoin and then start putting profits into Bitcoin.
Good luck. When you see that opportunity that you can make money already with those altcoins, convert them quickly to Bitcoin, altcoin season or not.

If you are 100% in altcoins, it means you don't invest in Bitcoin at all? Why?
Sure, it is your right to invest in any coins. However, as far as I know, Bitcoin will increase first before altcoins season. We have halving, this probably will trigger to increase Bitcoin price because people will tend to focus on Bitcoin firstly. The altcoin season should follow it, it will happen after the halving. In my own understanding, we will have altcoin season when the price of Bitcoin tends to stable (no significant change). This is when the Bitcoin in the long sideway phase. This probably happens in the next few months after Bitcoin halving. But no one knows the exact time for the altcoin season. It can be in Q3 or Q4 of this year, or it may be in the next year.

By the way, be careful to put the profits into Bitcoin after altcoin season. After altcoin season, the market can turn to the bearish season. If you want to buy Bitcoin after altcoin season, I suggest to do it when it is clear that we begins the new bearish season. So, you can buy in the lowest price!

Why all-in in alts and not have most of your capital in BTC? If you only you did that, you are now enjoying the fruits of your labour and you can still buy more alts because after it might be an alt season but you are brave enough to do it despite knowing the situation of altcoins are not good.

I already answered your question there. Alt season usually comes after BTC pumps and the bull run. Even though during a bull run, alts can also rise but alt season must be different because alts are only rising during it and then their rise are also extra-ordinary. With that said, you still can sell some of your alts nowadays for some profits, if you want to.

Though it's your money and you should know better what to do with it, I would say you are not doing it the right way. We all know that the whole market moves along with Bitcoin, when it goes up, the market starts going up as well, and when it loses value, every cryptocurrency start losing value with it.

So logically, Bitcoin should be the first cryptocurrency one should have in their portfolio but you don't even have any of it. I don't know how you did that, but anyway, if you are asking about the alt season, that depends on how Bitcoin will perform after the halving event.

If Bitcoin starts going up after it, altcoins will start gaining momentum as well, but if Bitcoin corrects itself again to a lower price point, altcoins will start bleeding badly.

When you see pump in bitcoin then you will also see pump in the price of altcoins so remember that there is also an alt season when bitcoin reaches to All the time high value. Halving will bring huge price so try to accumulate some top altcoins too because bitcoin will put some greater and beneficial effects on the worth of altcoins too.

Ethereum and Solana will show more success in contrast with other altcoins so don't wait more as it is the better time buy some of them. Although price is higher but it will not go in more dump before halving and if you wait for lower price then you will see that it is showing growth instead of decrease.

Looking back now I probably should have just focused more on Bitcoin as it has pumped a lot more then majority of altcoins I hold , particularly over the last 6 months.

There have been a couple however that have done over a 15x for me since the new year which has resulted in my portfolio currently being +121% overall.

I understand altcoins usually follow Bitcoin however when Bitcoin really starts pumping, a lot of altcoins will pump a lot faster so hopefully a few of mine will see good returns and that is when I plan to cash out.

It is usually observed that as bitcoin rises, so does the altcoins and if bitcoin falls then it goes the same way for altcoins. Investors are very dependent on bitcoin and they think any movement from bitcoin reflects the overall market.

If they do not trust bitcoin the less they trust altcoins. The only way I can think of that could make altcoins be more valuable than bitcoin is when bitcoin goes down and instead of investors losing hope for the overall crypto market, they focus on altcoins..p

Right now the value of Bitcoin has been somewhat stabilized around $70k so we need to wait for the period when Bitcoin's price surges and then after the surge the price will stabilize, that's the exact moment when Altcoins will start pumping as you will see most of the Altcoins going bonkers. You need to ensure you sell it at the peak else it will drop down real quick.

You are absolutely right, and your view point is spot on, while the current market appears steady and stable around $70,000, but we never know how it remains so as markets are volatile and unpredictable. What we need to do is to wait for the outcome of significant halving event which is approximately 10 days now, and its impact on Bitcoin because that factor will provide valuable insights into the potential direction of the broader cryptocurrencies markets.

You thought that altcoins bullish season will not manifest this season,  just relax your mind in your altcoins holding OP and you will definitely see mighty move of the market price of altcoins before the end of June and you will be happy of what you are going to embrace from your holding. You can see that Bitcoin is still increasing in the market despite the information that breaks out few days ago that the price will remain in $65,451 before the bearish season will flow to the market but the price has increased back to $71,102 again to make their investors to experience long bullish season. Don't let you plan be scatter than to continue holding the altcoins, because light will definitely come for those that are holding potential altcoins and they are very close to their break through if they can endure for the altcoins bullish market to roll over before they can start releasing their altcoins for sale.

You probably made a mistake by investing in altcoins so early, before an altcoin season can come to happen, we need for the bull run to reach almost its peak, an event that has not happened yet.

Now you may wonder why I think you made your move too fast, because it could take a year for that moment to come, and a lot can happen during that year, and the majority of the new coins that you bought could disappear during that time.

A few weeks to months after Bitcoin's price skyrocket is when the altcoin season starts. At least that's what's my prediction.
2 things will happen for sure though. Altcoin season will come during the bull market, and altcoins will skyrocket in price. The other one is that there will be some altcoins that might not even surpass its previous ATH for some reasons.

Right now, we aren't seeing that much pump on altcoins since we aren't still on the bull market but when it happens, most of the top altcoins will pump in price, and if you bought a few months before the bull run, you might double your money just by holding your altcoins. Not an assurance of course. I just don't know though when will be the time where altcoins will be performing better than Bitcoin.

For me, it would be better to just cash out your profits and wait for the bear market than putting all of it into Bitcoin once altcoin perform better than it. Well, at least that's my strategy.

It's really difficult to identify now as Bitcoin is still aiming for a new all-time high.
Unlike before, I remember my last altcoin season was bull run 2017-2018. The time when Bitcoin stopped pumping, that's the time altcoins took the opportunity and really profitable for altcoins.

But not seems, different already. The pumps on altcoins is lesser now.

It'll not happen now as we are getting closer to Bitcoin halving therefore Bitcoin will be getting all the investment while altcoin are getting ignored but altcoins season will come after Bitcoin get to a very high price. When Bitcoin has gotten its own bull market then it'll be the altcoins turn and many altcoins will do very well. If you're holding some good altcoin, I don't think you should sell them but keep holding until the altcoin season comes then you'll sell them for big profits.

But don't be 100% in altcoins instead put some money in stablecoin and Bitcoin. Put some money in stablecoin as the market might dump and when you don't have stablecoin you won't be able to buy some of the tokens that you're holding to increase your coins so you can make more profits when they start pumping. Put some money in Bitcoin so that when Bitcoin pump you can also make some profits.

Goodluck with your strategy, altcoins usually follow Bitcoin's price movement, so i think altcoin season should be when Bitcoin starts pumping very high, then some altcoins can start rising fast and very high too. Having said that, nothing is set in stone and things can happen differently, if i were you i would buy Bitcoin now, altcoins are too risky and waiting on profits from altcoins to put in Bitcoin is something that is unlikely to happen, because you might not make any profits from your altcoins.

The alt season should be the time of bitcoin also, I mean if it is bitcoin that will trigger the rise of other cryptocurrencies in the market. So maybe, it should come after halving and subsequent bull run taken place. They can’t be a time that altcoins will be on a steady rise without bitcoin first performing that move for them to follow suit. We should be expecting the alt season after bitcoin has gained full momentum and going all bullish without a break for retracement (bull seaosn). If you’re investing in altcoins in order to gather a lot of profits and put into bitcoin, I think it is not a nice idea to depend on that, it can probably fail.

I don't know if going 100% into altcoins is the right thing to do if you want to end up in bitcoin anyway.  Don't kid yourself amd think all altcoins outperform bitcoin during bull season.  I can show you tons of examples of coins that have actually dropped or stayed the same during bull runs.  And in a lot of cases coins do exactly what bitcoin does so why even risk it?

such a situation would probably be difficult to obtain nowadays. Seeing Bitcoin adoption will remain stronger and hoping to sell your Altcoins at a profit and move them to Bitcoin may be too late. you have to wait for the market momentum to get bad enough again to avoid the market crashing.
Altcoin season momentum will still require strength and encouragement from Bitcoin which is quite strong. if Bitcoin corrects it could make the Altcoin market conditions quite bad before the start of the pump season.

There is something you aren't getting correctly and not that altcoin are to perform better than bitcoin, no never.
What you should know is that most investors has moved their holding to bitcoin and there is no much trade between altcoin and bitcoin therefore, after bitcoin halving you see much investors trading their bitcoin to altcoin or trading their usdt to other altcoin other than bitcoin with this we can say there is much liquidity in altcoin hence, investors began to look for those coin that could give them 10x to 50x and above making any coin you find during bull run to always yielding profits but immediately after bull run some of those coin don't survive and some hardly make it up again to their previous standard.

Actually, that's a good idea since most likely altcoins will be getting more high increase but less secure in terms of investment because you cannot rely on their longevity and put some of your investment in bitcoins. At the same time, the price is high, and more profits when bitcoins will rise, that's a clever idea. Still, if you wanted to keep all the remaining altcoins at its original price. At the same time, it's hot and at its current ATH, you can just convert it to stablecoin first and wait for the right time to withdraw it or convert more to bitcoins to add more funds to it to further secure your earnings and capital.

Exactly because no altcoin can make any bull run without bitcoin being the major market leader,  only bitcoin have the ability to changes the face of the market and it will rob up on every other coins I the market,  altcoins may make some attempts but on the long run, the can't create any significant market sustainability to built up a bull market on their own.

But bitcoin has that chain control and that is why you always see strong altcoins like bitcoin and a few others following the bitcoin trends each time it happens.
