I think it was just a speculation, Reliance said that they might launch their coin but not news after that..but stay tuned, if they launch it will be a real game changer.
Never. Launching of JIO coin is just a rumor. Mukesh Ambani already cleared in a media and to the public that Reliance has no plan to expand in crypto. SO don't expect JIO to launch a coin in near future.
So all the news about the coin and crypto by Reliance was a FUD ?
These market giants can't be trusted.
Even if they have a plan for launching coins or tokens through ICOs they won't make it public as long as the Indian Govt. or SEBI officially comes up with some rules.
Maybe they will not come up with some coins initially as cryptocurrency is not a legal tender in India but can come up with tokens.
However, read in some news that SBI is supporting these cryptocurrencies and I have also seen SBI as future partner bank in some international ICOs. So, I don't think days are too far.
So all the news about the coin and crypto by Reliance was a FUD ?

I work in that industry and this is what I got as a reply from the Jio team itself when enquired about JioCoin.
Mumbai, 31st January 2018: Reliance Jio has come across reports in media and other websites about the existence of purported JioCoin Apps on the Internet that are soliciting investments in cryptocurrencies from people.
Reliance Jio would like to inform the public and media that there are no such apps offered by the company or its affiliates/associates. Any such apps using the JioCoin name are fake and people are advised to refrain from dealing with any of them.
Reliance Jio takes a serious note of such fraudulent attempts by unscrupulous persons to misguide the public in the name of Jio and reserves the right to take appropriate legal recourse.
There is nothing being done from the company right now.

No reliance is not going to launch JIo coin. They have denied all the reports. They made a publoc announcemnet which is as below.

Really! JIO coin is launch in India wow, If it is correct news or launch in India then I think Indian person sure purchase this coin.
Their is no official announcement happened about it. Only thing which has came in news is that their team are trying to figure out how it can be used and its future and how can it be implemented in the country. Also their are many regulations which needs to be followed as currently even the govt is waiting for the committee report on crypto current state and its future . Based on this the coin might introduced in the country.
I don't think it would be that revolutionary, I think it will launch when other companies would have already adopted blockchain

Probably never,They might use Blockchain technology in some other applications.
If they do launch I don't see a single reason to buy a corporate controlled cryptocurrencie.
Ambani's are market players. And if they really want to launch any such coin. They will definitly approach some stretegic approach to grab market attention. However, they has now warned people for not believing any such fake news about jio coin.
So, atleast they are not gono realease anyhow now.
In my opinion, they might have entered into blockchain, due to its vast potential,, but it is not necessary that they have any plan right now to launch such coins.

Yes I am also waiting for that when jio coin ico will be going launch but I don't know about that, and I got some information about jio coin ico from Youtube video that jio coin ico will going to lunch on March 2nd week but I don't know the information right or not.
as per recent news Jio is nt going to launch any coin but they are developing smart contract in blockchain for corporate use
