When is the best time to buy old coin? This time has been going on for almost half a year since summer. Now, right now, is the best time to buy old coins. If you have the idea to wait for the maximum bottom and buy as cheaply as possible, then I dare you to disappoint, you are 99, 999% not going to make it happen. Buy cheap coins incrementally with your spare cash. The strategy of always waiting for the lowest price possible is a failure and will lead to the fact that you either buy nothing or you will start buying when the market starts to grow, because you will realize that it will not be cheaper than it was.
This is where people make the most mistakes. When people invest, many sit to buy cheap Even if the market goes down for a period of time, they refrain from investing there and wait for a lower price to buy But later they can't buy anymore and when the market gets better, they either invest from that better market or stop investing.

I don't understand what old coins you mean.  But some of the things found in older coins are development and community and blockchain technology is right.  They are playing a leading role in maintaining the market in a very good way

there are a lot of old coins here, it's just that the OP didn't mention what coins he would invest in, btc, eth, bnb, sol and LTC maybe the old coins that the OP meant
OP prove your research right on your friends for the next bull run set your strategy and enjoy your profits,
If that is the case, then buying top coins are the best strategy right now because it’s really cheap but if its about the old shitcoins, I don’t suggest to buy any because they are useless already and they will just disappear just like the other old shitcoins. OP should prove nothing honestly, just focus on your own strategy and if your friend didn’t listen to you, then it’s not your loss after all.

With my experience in the market, I agree to what you've said. Some are good to hold forever if not, then for a long time while the majority are good just to dump and take your profit from it.

Well, as we grow on this market, we understand manage to see the differences every cycle although that's only a little and most of it are just the same. And we learn that not all of them goes back and healthy just as how they went when they're on the bull run.

A new project launches and surges and people come into it hoping that they'll make a quick buck but gets the opposing result.

In my opinion, new projects are easy and fast for profit, if the project is successful and can develop, we deserve to hold for the long term, of course not all projects can be followed, but I only target a maximum of 5 new projects every month, and every 3 months always I review whether it is still worthy of hold or immediately sell.
Yeah, most of them are quick in profits.

But if you miss that time then you'll be their dinner, if you know what I mean. You'll be one of those people that will lose because of being slow while those that have been focused are hyperactive.

If you have a strategy doing that and you're making a profit then that's good for you. I rarely see people that have that target and focusing into new projects because it's riskier and exhausting.

The market has been on a bearish trend and there's really no one that could tell when is the best time to buy crypto, irrespective of experience or TA. Crytocurrency trading is quite risky and volatile. This explains why the prices tends to move between two extremes. Individuals are advised to do their own research as there's no one that is willing or capable of giving financial advice when it comes to cryptocurrency investment.

my vision and opinion with cryptocurrencies is that there's still only a handful that is worth holding for a longer period but the vast majority of them should 100 be dumped as soon as possible to take those profits this has been my position throughout the entire 2021 bull market I was hated for it at the tops of the market but I guess now in the bear market everyone can see
I went through it in 2017 I held the coins to the Lowe's reposition my portfolio made sure I got out of it so that I could be fresh for the next bull market and I think we're starting to fall into that period now however the good news is we still have a fair bit of time even if we see a little Bounce from this area that we're in maybe the little bounce feels huge maybe.

I think even if there's massive discount in value it's just better if you hold from investing in old coin with smaller market capitalization and isn't having high ranks since they would never get other chance of massive increase in value, you see many coins are actually failing very hard like eos, etc. investing in newer coins like matic and sol seems better, since they've got the momentum in increasing their value easily and haven't truly reached their true potential.

the definition of old coin is how long a coin has been in existence to be called old coin? i personally consider Matic and Solana to be 2 old coins and they currently have a sizable market cap and a very high growth rate if you compare to their initial prices. many people say investing in old coins is safer than new coins because they have a product, have a large community, that is true but not completely. looking at old coins from previous cycles, a lot of coins can't go back to their old ATH and they drop in rank as new and better coins come out. investing in old and new coins is equally risky, so do your research before investing

Old coins? Are you portraying the likes of Ethereum or this is another type of coin named Old coin?
If it's the former then I think the buying power is still high.
There are those who are expecting to make money with the staking process of Ethereum and other coins that had been thru bear and bull.
Bitcoin on the other hand should not be a question to purchase anymore. It always comes back and after a bear, a bull will certainly happen unless history will be different because of inflation and the war.

Your vision has been happening for a long time already.
I've been in the crypto since Q3 of 2017 (though I'm not an expert) and I've seen numerous altcoin that has been in the top 10 or top 20 in that year but after the bear market, they remained at the bottom and didn't go up anymore in the rankings.

Since this is happening, the best strategy is to just buy Bitcoin and Ethereum since they both remained at the top 2 spots regardless of what's happening in the market. Well, both of the 2 are old coins as and for me, the best time to buy old coins specifically these 2 is when we are in a bear market like where we are right now.

Like you said, if the coin goes down by 80, it might go down by another 80 or might go up by 100. So we never really know when is the best time to invest. By old coins you mean those well established coins that has been around for years and is being constantly developed, right? Then yeah, you can invest in those coins whenever you can afford to invest. As long as you are holding long term and not selling when the price is down, you will be making some good profit. Invest, keep holding and make profit in the long run.

What do you mean old coins? For me, the best time to buy is always the bear season like now. That's the time when many are fearful and are panic selling. You can get coins at a huge discount. That's if you are not like the rest who are only good in words but weak in action. There are many who are saying they regret not buying solid coins when they're cheap but when the correction happens and the prices all over the market are falling deep they're the first ones who will also worry and end up not buying at all.

It must be anytime for now. The price has been going down so hard and then what are you waiting for? the price will not go even deeper than the current price, crypto has been reaching the bottom price and that must be abig mistake if you are thinking you can wait for the dip price again,.
Buy now for a few years. That will make you feel so good with it. Im sure that people are also doing this right now.
The price may not go any lower than the levels we are witnessing right now, but at the same time I think we are going to be close to the current levels for a long time, so I do not think that investors should be in any hurry to invest right now as it is not as if they are going to miss an imminent bull market or anything like that, they could invest in other assets during a whole year and then once they obtain some profits from those markets then they could comeback and finally buy come bitcoin.

Maybe you give us some examples of these old coins?

Saying old coins shouldn't be the right term here but rather coins that are still rocking up to today after years since their inception.

Too much technicality I think. If you are to choose your considered old coins then stick only with Bitcoin.

Though not so clear on how long a coin/token can be for it to be refereed to as old, IMO I will refer an old coin to be one that have existed for at least six months or up to one year. The best time to buy an old coin is obviously when the value is lowest. But not just that, the history of its performance have to be reviewed. Coins/tokens that are resilient and have the ability to recover when it falls within a defined period will be the one I consider appropriate to buy. Factors like volume, team composition as well as the history of recovery rate are key factors, before you can buy the low value of the coin/token.

I think their is a misconception in the subtitle of this thread, because what people are curious to know is the best period to buy cryptocurrency or bitcoin and any other at particular point in time, because the way I'm seeing coin's, a good investor knows exactly the time frame or time Factor someone can invest or purchase coin for investment, so from my observation, the best period someone and especially new investors should purchase a coin is during the dip.
