There's an altcoins season just because of Bitcoin.
When Bitcoin price increases, of course, altcoins too because most trading pairs are in Bitcoin.  The reason why is like this, Bitcoin holds the highest market capitalization and liquidity among all cryptocurrencies those traders and investors often use Bitcoin as a gateway to the cryptocurrency market.

So trading pairs of Bitcoin makes there's an alt season.
So wait for the Bitcoin price to push through and allocate a bigger percentage on Bitcoin than altcoins.

good and I hope you hold the right altcoin. keep holding because in the future we will see much higher price increases. I thought today was the start of the bull run but since the ETF related post was deleted it caused everything to get delayed.

The majority of my portfolio is in altcoins and I am currently 29% in profit which I am happy with considering the Bitcoin halving is still 3 months away.

This is my first bull run over the next few years so I am just wondering when do altcoins usually start really pumping, is it long after the Bitcoin halving?
I understand that you are mostly invested in altcoin. But I want to know from you whether you invest in top position coin in altcoin or any altcoin like memcoin. We know that investing in altcoins is high in returns as well as high in risk. But if you invest in top altcoins then stay long term you will get more success. But currently we can see that Bitcoin is at the beginning of the bull season which is causing the Bitcoin market to rise a bit but I think the altcoin session has started but the price has not increased much. However, some top-level altcoins are recovering their prices.

I'm just waiting for Bitcoin to go sideways, with no dumps and no pumps for very long.
Then that's the time for me I will see the start of alt season, where every altcoin will just pump.
But before this will happen, I am expecting to see Bitcoin to pump first where for sure some people will move their profits to altcoins.

I think that you've been making threads that this is going to be your first bull run and that's totally fine but it seems that your topics are just the same and circulates to your experience and asking for people's assurance that you're going to do well. With 29% in profit and knowing that we're not yet in the actual bull run, that's already a lot of profit on your end.

so I am just wondering when do altcoins usually start really pumping, is it long after the Bitcoin halving?
Usually, they comes next after Bitcoin. We will get to see the pump first with Bitcoin and then the altcoin season is going to come but this isn't an assurance for you because the market sentiments and patterns are changing. It may repeat but it doesn't have any guarantee that we may see the same pattern as is. That's how it goes and that's why if you're going to think of a matter of when the altseason will come. No one really knows exactly for this phase and season. What you must do is to take profits that you're good with and then just buy them back when you see that there's a good entry. Don't miss any single run for this particular season because you'll never know how long is going to be the bull and bear run.

Not sure what you consider as altcoin season, or pumping but to me atlcoin season has started soon after altcoin marketcap broke the downtrend, and that was year ago. Because that's where bottom was and the rise started, it's a best place to invest. Now this is just bumpy road. And not all of them are going to pump. Lots of them are but changes are that you have few that doesn't.
But short answer is that they have been pumping radically more slightly after the halving. Some of them might get dumped by speculators as sell the news event.

And every prediction i say should be taken with a grain of salt as i don't know any better then some other random forum user.

Anyone that responds here doesn't have an idea just like you don't.  Every cycle does not ensure the next one happens the same.  The problem I see though is that you are in a majority of just altcoins.  Why wouldn't you be in bitcoin and to a lesser degree altcoins?  Thought of getting rich off of these fringe projects usually does not end up well.

As long as bitcoin is in the process I believe that altcoins get positivity through bitcoin and altcoins already is pumping and without the acceleration of bitcoin their no altcoins that will be gain a green color at this moment, I believe that what we need right now is patient in our altcoins and if you cross check the altcoins you will see that so many of them is Changing in fraction or values as you may see, all because of signs of bitcoin bullrun that gives rise to some of the altcoins that gains positivity.

I don't think altcoins have their special bull but they are moving with the bull of Bitcoin whenever Bitcoin goes up the altcoins also follow and whenever Bitcoin bear market starts altcoins bear will also start and no altcoins will surpass the price of Bitcoin for now therefore there is no specific bull market design for altcoins and all what you have to do is to follow the movement of Bitcoin.

Altcoins are alternative to Bitcoin so like now that Bitcoin is climbing the leather to the top all the altcoins are also following it. So as the altcoins there are already in their bull market right while Bitcoin is on the way to it All Time High.

the bull season already started. a little bit of waiting you might just profit more than that 29% you wouldn't want to lose that chance especially if you are keeping the altcoin for a long time.

its frustrating to see though that the price spikes of altcoins aren't so sharp compared to BTC. it's going to test your patience. i have my share of frustration thinking of short-term investments, i realized altcoin is the not right choice for short term.

Based on last two halvings of 2016 and 2020 we have seen a bull run the following year as we witnessed bull runs in 2017 & 2021. But we have already seen pump in Altcoin which was bit unexpected before Bitcoin bull run and TBH I don't think anyone can accurately speculate about bull run but if you are an short te investor then keep an eye on market as Altcoins may go through correction as well before the actual bull run.

You’re right that this coming bull run is a bit different, the reason is that all altcoins actually follow the trend of bitcoin and if you notice bitcoin had a fantastic price pump last year most especially the last quarter of the year due to the hype around the upcoming ETF approval so this made all Alticoins to follow the trend and that’s why we are seeing them pumping even before the bitcoin halving. This simply tells you that there is nothing like an Altcoins season they all pump when bitcoin pump the only and drop when bitcoin drops in price. The only difference is that they are more volatile than bitcoin. So for an Altcoins investor my advice is to keep an eye in market and take profit when if pumps don’t go long term on Altcoins because most are just pump and dump coins

I don't know what a d what you have invested in altcoins, but when your portfolio is not constituting bitcoin as the major holdings you're having then you're taking high risk, we do encourage that Bitcoin first then followed by few additional altcoins, there's probability that altcoins will rise along with bitcoin during the bullrun, if you're lucky enough, some or all of your investments may also rise along with bitcoin during the bullrun and some may actually not, this is part of the risk involved.

Bitcoin is the safest. But it will not see as much gains as some of the altcoins, a few of my altcoins have already pumped 3x , 4x and one even did 10x in just a few weeks recently.

Altcoins are higher risk but I am well diverse so if a few of them do go to zero, I expect the majority to do well.

I am planning on putting a lot of my altcoin profits this bull run into Bitcoin in the next bear market in a few years.

Altcoin session follows immediately after the Bitcoin halving, in fact nothing like altcoin season or session what happened is that since bitcoin is the major propeller all altcoin follows the trends except for those that goes against bitcoin directions. Meaning those coin you think that are making profits are solely relying on bitcoin progress and increment, watch out today whatever negative news that affect bitcoin you would notice a significant drop in all altcoin and immediately the market will turned to blood bath why because lots of altcoin being driven by bitcoin price.

You can also experiment that yourself, when bitcoin was around 25k sometimes last year did most of the shitcoin flew then like now? No because bitcoin wasn't making any changes in the market, so I will always tell you the truth about altcoin they are dependant of bitcoin so, as long as bitcoin keeps increase you will also find them making progress and if you must hold make sure to pull out before halving over.

there will be no right time to estimate it all. but when you learn from what happened in the previous market, the altcoin market will also follow the increase when Bitcoin started pumping.
Bitcoin seemed to have started a good position at the beginning of this year. but we are still waiting for the actual pump. If you hope the altcoin you hold will follow Bitcoin's pump after the Halving, hold it and wait for the momentum. I hope you are not too hasty to release your assets, or even too greedy to get ATH.

You never know when the altcoin season will come, but is your portfolio up 29% because of the altcoin season? I don't think this is not the time yet, of course I said because bitcoin has not been ATH and has not been halving either, so there is no need to worry if the market has started bullish, usually the season will come together.

I think a lot of altcoins are already starting to increase now mainly because of bitcoin’s increase in price and the anticipated halving event

You can expect altcoins to pump more in the next following months guaranteed that bitcoin will be increasing more thus trust in the cryptocurrency scene will be heightened  still note that altcoins are extremely volatile and are much harder to predict it is still best to keep an open mind and observe altcoins that you hold
