To sell the bitcoin before it was necessary. It's too late to sell coins now. All those who panicked have already sold their coins. Now we are waiting for the price increase. I don't know when it will happen, but I'm sure it will be very soon. The market has already shrunk as a spring and soon the resistance will not be able to restrain it.

Too late? Why? Is there a price level where we can tagged as a good price level to sell our coins? Are we aware that this dip will happened so it was "necessary to sold bitcoins before"? It's easy to say that today because you already know what happened.

Long term holders doesn't need to care of the market behaviour since that's why they called long term holders in the first place. Ups or downs, they will just hold their stash until it hits their desired price level.

might be too short if we are experiencing a correction to the raging bull market of the last 2-3 years. i wouldn't be surprised if the market corrects for a year or two.

Yep. We have been bullish since 2016 leading to the build up of a huge pump that nobody really expected in 2017.

To say that this current bear market is able to end at just a few months seems unbelievable for me. 2014, even though in a completely different context, can provide some guidelines. The markets after 2013, which was obviously a shorter and less prolonged pump, took around 3 years to fully consolidate for the next pump.

it's hard to say how things will pan out. the post-2013 action provides some guidance, but it should be stressed that charts never play out the same way twice. history rhymes (doesn't repeat), but it's also a really small data set we have. so we shouldn't be biased too much based on the previous bubbles.

but, i think it's still possible this correction will look more like summer 2013 than 2014. we really won't know until there is a confirmed lower high on the long term charts, which will confirm the long term downtrend.

Yes that the thing most of the people who sold their bitcoin is the one who FOMO'ed when bitcoin is surging and trending the one who enters around 18K to 20k plus USD they think it is the easiest ride to go to the moon so they expect a lot, unexpected events occurred as the market correction enters added by the people who constantly cashing out because its holiday seasons and the rumors about the MT.Gox trustee selling his pack of coins, it will gonna bounce back soon then some people will repeat the cycle itself.

the person holding and holding her looks less, in comparison to the panic people who immediately sell it. we know that this dips happen because many of his people panic, negative news and FUD scattered everywhere. we must believe that, the market, bitcoin and price will soon Be in charge of this unrest. our task now only has to be patient looking forward to all of her back to normal, than we panicked and regret at the end. oh shit! in my opinion it's still too early to talk about bitcoin to the moon, Take it easy!
  it will happen in time.
I couldn't blame them, with the market being this indecisive putting all your money back to Fiat is the most safest position and I consider it a smart move as they can buy back in when a confirmed break out happens, and also they can buy back again when it has bottomed out giving them more Bitcoin at the end. Even if you are a believer of Bitcoin's progress putting your money on where it is safe doesn't mean you have lost trust on Bitcoin, you just want to play it safe on your end.

Bitcoin will moon when all scared and inpatient people have sold their bitcoin and we, the yawny and patient ones have gotten them for cheap.
That is if you can hold long enough. Right now, I don't see btc rising back up to all time high in the near future, instead I see it going down more in the next coming weeks. Nevertheless, you are right that the wisest option right now is to rebuy bit by bit(using the fiat one gained after selling at high prices way back in December if you have some). It also isn't wise to sell in a bearish market unless you have bought at sub 1000$.
Lots of things can happen, and you are right if the person can hold for some time, then it can be a good investment to try, but if you don't have the
knowledge better to think twice, the market is really hard to predict what we know alone is we are expecting that the value will rise up again, to know'when , it's a matter of time, no one really knows the exact timing to ride safely with this system, we just need to trust and continue collecting
coins inside our wallets.

So you're talking about the final capitulation right.  Smiley
When I look at the long and short positions of margin traders, well longs still go up. Means that many people still have a lot of faith and think and the bottom is in.
As long as we don't see these longs getting closed, there could still be a lot more room to go down, as markets tend to reversal when there's lots of blood in the streets and people losing faith. So it looks like we need more blood.

Bitcoin dips again?
Reseason Why?
Will bitcoin go to moon?
I think because always panic selling that's market or bitcoin are in dip but on the other it's good because you buy at cheap price. Don't worry bitcoin will be on track just be patient and the people always doing a panic selling will cry after when they see bitcoin on high price.

I think we are getting lot of good news and there is no FUD nees recently still bitcoin is struggling to get a momentum. Which clearly means big players wants to suppress the price more to start accumulating at a certain price level. That is when bull run will start perhaps

One of the recent bullish news is here :
Cboe urges U.S. regulators to move forward with Bitcoin ETFs

It might dip even by 50% more. What I am more interested is to where will it bounce and - when. The lightning network is announced for the end of the year, hence there has to be something else to turn the tide before that... I am afraid that the usual cyclic behavior of Bitcoin couldn't do the trick on its own anymore.....

However, what I believe even more is that the current situation is actually caused by speculators, big investors, and whales who are dipping the prices in order to buy more and get even richer. I might be wrong, but..... if Bitcoin starts going up for no apparent strong reason (like the reasons it started going down) - it will prove I was correct.

I think that this time the time will be shorter, but still will take around 2 years to break out of this bear market, or at least "non-bullish" market with sideways movement.

Reason? Just because BTC is correcting big time, and panic dumpers are selling into the panic like usual when that happens. BTC will still go up long term imo, just not in the short term.

Price is correcting not dumping.
Because whales are spreading fud and there is panic all over the market.
When panic will be over and new investors will start to buy Bitcoin again just like end of last year.

I just hope to see a recovery in 2-4 months.

might be too short if we are experiencing a correction to the raging bull market of the last 2-3 years. i wouldn't be surprised if the market corrects for a year or two.

We can only speak of a downtrend, long term speaking, if we fall below the previous bottoms, because that would mean the demand in general is decreasing, and not just in the short term.

by previous bottom, what do you mean here? like the august 2015 bottom before this bull market? i don't want to wait until we're in the $100s to decide that we're in a bear market. Tongue

or do you mean the last major bottom on the long term (weekly or higher) charts? that was ~ $5400.

Bitcoin dips again?
Reseason Why?

I hope by now you know that there are lot of factors that influence the price of bitcoin, specially negative news coming from social medias and fake news. So that's one reason why bitcoin dips.

As for bitcoin mooning, well, its really hard to say, last year was really the best time of our lives when all crypto not just bitcoin goes all to the moon and we make a lot of profits. Sadly we are back to earth and we don't know when are our next schedule flight to the moon. But just be ready because I'm sure that before the end of the year we will see it again.

I just hope to see a recovery in 2-4 months.

It just depends on your definition of recovery. I personally see a market that is going up, which basically means that there is nothing to recover. I don't focus on the trail left in the charts by the hype train, neither should others here do. If you discard the peaks, and draw a line from bottom to bottom, you'll see that we are going up over a very long period of time. Bottoms represent a good level of stability, and that's why I put my main focus there, and not look at the peaks that were funded by greed and fomo. We can only speak of a downtrend, long term speaking, if we fall below the previous bottoms, because that would mean the demand in general is decreasing, and not just in the short term.

From somebody who has seen this kind of pathetic panic selling by weak people in bear markets or bearish periods before - Stay Calm.

Seriously nothing to worry about here, HODL and before too long we’ll start going up again. If you can’t sit on your coins & not worry about immediate profits for a year or two then you shouldn’t be involved in an asset like bitcoin.

So grab a beer, sit back & relax.

we may just need to be patient in other to see another upward pump after those dumping their coin has no coin again in they wallets. We have seeing why making a monopoly of a system is not good from the way people are dumping the bitcoin in quantity that their have been holding for quite some time now.
