The repetitive generic responses on threads such as these may be motivated by s time when it was rewarding to bash another memner, conveniently one of a lower rank, in the hope of getting merits.

It's still prevalent in some threads today, i once started a thread in that, encouraging more friendly relations, it should have used 'more professional relations' where comments and replies are meant to pass a message to the recipient.

Well your rank would change when you must have meet all requirements for your next rank well at the moment you are in member rank and it's surprising you still don't know how this works your next rank is full member

You're turning The Pharmacist into a prophet and proving their point.
I have to add one last thing about the bumping issue and what you said about prophecy.  One of the first things I noticed when I joined here was that people were continuing to post in and bump threads that clearly needed no more responses.

Textbook case is in this thread from June 2015, where I started off posting on page 1 with an extremely lewd comment that I probably wouldn't make in 2018, but after that I noticed that the OP had abandoned the thread and kept pointing it out repeatedly until the thread finally fizzled out in April 2016.  In between my posts there, pleading with people to stop making suggestions about cupcakes and how they'd stay fresh in transit, blah blah blah, I reported the thread to the mods numerous times basically begging them to lock it.

And yeah, that thread is still not locked.  Nor is this one, but this is my last post in it.  Since OP is a relative noob, I hope he reads this and I hope other newbies do as well.

Edit:
Well your rank would change when you must have meet all requirements for your next rank well at the moment you are in member rank and it's surprising you still don't know how this works your next rank is full member

...

That's already been said multiple times within this exact thread.

...

...

It's hilarious that the both of you are willing to criticize OP for their question, while you're spamming redundant trash immediately beneath The Pharmacist requesting OP lock the thread before people like yourselves post redundant trash. You're turning The Pharmacist into a prophet and proving their point. Get your head out of your ass - stop acting superior to others when you're the problem. You are adding nothing to the thread and doing nothing to make the forum a better place. The information you're posting has already been posted multiple times and the criticisms you present are wasted because of your own hypocrisy.

In this way never.  If you post this type of questions you will never rank up.
Patience along-with hard  work is always key to success.
The issue isn't even with the worthless question, but with the OP who's on a member rank with 15 merits asking a question that ought to be asked by one on his or her first day here

There is no chance in hell OP doesn't know the requirements,i guess this is just some random guy sitting behind the keyboard tryna catch some fun from the reactions that'll follow his or her very useless question.

Hi there
I wonder how can I know when my rank will change and I will become a full member.

You must meet the requirements for a full member of at least 100 Merits, for you to go to the moon, you need to read a little about your rules and objectives:

FAQ: Everything you need to know about forum 'activity, account ranks and merit

I have no idea what has arisen in your mind right now. For this kind of thing.

You need to make more efforts to get 85 more merits to promote full member. Wish you more success and more dedication to this forum

I still have something to add that hasn't been said before @ The Pharmacist

OP, you should really focus on writing more quality replies, take this reply of you as an example.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.47730711

Here you quote the entire god damn Original Post and add a bullshit reply of 3 words.
Going through some of your other replies, I see the same behavior.

You should make more posts like this one:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.48439366

Although you could argue that it's not really an interesting topic, but at least you put some effort into it.

Edit: Locking the thread would be a good idea indeed, I know I was changing the subject, but OP might learn something.

Take a couple of hours and just read through every sticky you can get your hands on.
Don't mean to bump this thread again, but I'd like to suggest to OP that it's good forum etiquette to lock your threads like this when you get the answer you're looking for and there's nothing more of value for anyone to add--plus in this case, the answer can be found for everyone else in the link that was provided and isn't hidden.

When you leave threads open like this one here, shitposters are going to eventually bump it to give the same answers in order to boost their post count.  The thread lock button is in the lower left hand corner.

Edit:  I was not aiming that at you, bill gator.  The bumping of the thread just made me think of giving the suggestion to OP, but you're not a sig spammer.

3/4 of the replies in this thread have been varying degrees of critical towards you OP and this should cause alarms to go off in your head alerting you that something needs to change. Go through all of the main boards, and read the stickies, rules, guidelines and utilize the search function whenever you still have questions. Chances are, you're not the first person with that question.

As an example:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/unofficial-list-of-official-bitcointalkorg-rules-guidelines-faq-703657

Take a couple of hours and just read through every sticky you can get your hands on. That's barely a start, when you need more reading after the stickies just shoot me a PM!

You should try to do more reading than posting, always. I don't know if I'm naive or potentially wasting my time, but becoming a valued member of the community is as simple as being informed more often than not. I suggest you stop concerning yourself with your current rank - spend your time trying to understand Bitcoin, cryptocurrency and the community as a whole, better.

I wrote this for a reason: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/faq-everything-you-need-to-know-about-forum-activity-account-ranks-and-merit-2766177

Seems to have mostly worked because these sorts of threads used to happened every day and now I hardly ever see them, but congrats on being the anomaly.
