Usually the previous ATH will serve as a strong support base. So my guess is that even if this bubble bursts, the price won't drop below $1200.
But the way we are headed, I think this rally has a lot more steam left.

You're never too old to think young.
Bubble? This is just a rally. There will be corrections along the way, for sure, but a bubble? Nah. If the price spikes up to $15k-$20k or higher in the next few weeks, then maybe we can start talking bubble.

Precisely. I won't even start to consider this a bubble until it hits 5 digits at the very minimum.

This reminds me of Oct 2010- Feb 2011 when the price worked its way up from a nickel to a dollar in about 4 months.

It didn't become a bubble until June when it soared up to over $30 in a few weeks before crashing down to $2 by Oct 2011.

If it barely makes it to $15000, expect the crash to bottom out around $4000-$6000. If it goes higher, expect a higher bottom.

What we see now isn't a bubble, just a rally. When it rises over 1000% in weeks, that's a bubble.

Let's call it a significant correction. I strongly believe that we'll visit a price between $1700-$1800 as bottom of the correction, where after that we will continue this rush, but hopefully in a more sustainable manner. It would be a healthy situation if the market takes a step or two back, as I believe that the price is currently overbought. I don't think we're very far away from that moment.

For those holding and wanting to cash it is causing FUD, Now it is up to a month of steady rally and speculators are not sure if they a saying what is reliable. My challenge is the reaction of altcoin to it, Its a challenge I love. Money is now in crytocurrency, lots of money. People are investing and are willing to put more. The future is getting clearer for the crytoworld

This is plausible and I'm supporting this statement. The price increase that's happening is the feed back of the demand that we are getting today. The fact that after the adoption of those countries this started to pump. But to make the economy balance yes, corrections are there and I don't consider this as a bubble, we'll be hitting 5 digits soon.

you are basing everything on this assumption that there is a bubble!
not all rises mean there is a bubble. when a random shitcoin rises out of nowhere and for no reason, that is a bubble. but when bitcoin rises because a lot of new people all around the world have recently been introduced to bitcoin, that is a rally with little chance of going back.

sorry to burst your bubble (pun intended) but you missed your chance of buying cheap bitcoin when it was still around $1000. and now all you can hope for is a tiny dip to buy before it reaches $3000 Grin
You are making the assumption that OP is referring to a present bubble. It could be a future bubble Wink

That being said, I think that your assumption is correct and the OP's assumption is incorrect

I think few would disagree that we are at least temporarily in bubble territory. I've only been in bitcoin for the previous 2 'bubbles' (since April 2013) but if there's one thing I've learnt it's that when the long term graph looks like we are on the vertical face of a quarter pipe, at some point it's going to come down hard. It may well keep going up before that happens, and I guess my question should have been phrased 'if the price crashes today, at what price will it bottom out?'. The two spikes in 2013 fell back to about a third of the peak, which at today's price would be about 800. If it does keep going to 3000, 4000 before coming down, I imagine the bottom might be higher than that. Either way I'm selling small amounts on the way up and adjusting my buy orders accordingly, and hodling the rest.
gotta scale the y axis logarithmically. we are either about to exit the pre-vertical phase of the late 2013 bubble or about to gently peak out over the next couple months then bear for 2x3 times as long ala the 2012 $25 mini "bubble". OR something in between.

I think it will take a series of mini bubbles before the market moves on from the memory of the 2013 bubble. We're all far too cautious to create a catastrophe right now. Besides, there seems to be an order of magnitude separating any large peak-crash. Not sure if the reason is mathematical or psychological, but it seems to be there. I think we'll start a downtrend in approximately another doubling of current price, but i doubt a big bubble will happen until we get over 10k.

I was quite prepared for it around 2000 (cashed out a bit too much perhaps), but now I think the global demand will have none of that. I've already been reluctantly buying back in at a loss, because each coin I buy back turns back to profit overnight.

500-900$.
The next correction will be brutal, but bitcoin is going to recover. Hopefully not another 2 year bear market.

At this price demand for bitcoins will skyrocket, this will be like on some sale, people will try to buy cheap coins by any means necessary. If bitcoin fall down to 3 digits, and that is a very big if we will see recovery Mich sooner then you think.
I think this is a bubble, good news, adoption all over the world, all that influenced on this rise, and if we see any correction that will be on 4 digits, how much exactly I don't know but everything above 1000 dollars is good for bitcoin I think.

This is not a bubble. This is the takeoff many have predicted years ago. Yes there will be a correction and yes there will be higher gains after the correction. I firmly believe though we will not see a huge crash
This is bitcoin not the dow jones. There are no rules, anything can happen, and we can keep rising

What caused the crash in 2013?

the headline cause was china cracking down on bitcoin, but in reality it was just another bubble and no bubble lasts. there were more sellers than buyers.

If I remember well, that was just an MtGox pump with 2 bots. Then China "banned" bitcoin, then the Mtgox disaster, then another chinese "ban".

I entered in bitcoin community just after the bubble. And gave my first btc to Karpeles Charity™

And now I think it will go to at least 4000$ in this bullrun. Then down to 1500

You just need to enjoy this ride as it may never occur again, remember this is a reusable rocket and pretty much heading towards the moon surface.
I have confidence in new investors and I'm 100% sure they will not let this bull to die so easily.
There is a cat coming in front of my door step sitting and staring at the door for half an hour with a sad face and totally disappointed from life Cheesy
Please don't be like him, staring at charts and prices and letting these rare opportunities going by.
Waiting for price correction and value decreasing means you couldn't dare to risk your money by investing, so in this world you'll not get a penny if you don't risk something.
By any chance if price does fall then lucky the ones buying them...

BTC to the moon is inevitable...
Double digits.

Don't be ridiculous, we will never see double digits again. Not in our lifetime any way, bitcoin is way too strong for a dump of that proportion.

When an unexpected hardfork appears, it can and will be. Many people will loose confidence in bitcoin then.
Otherwise? I really don't know.

yeah you will wake up someday and see miners are pouring petroleum on top of their millions of dollar and lighting it up with a matchstick watching it burn to the ground.

because that's what "an unexpected hardfork" you are FUDing about looks like Wink
