When to get merit? You'll get it once you stop that nonsense posts you have. I think all you care about is getting into a campaign and try to earn some easy money huh. There is no possibility you'd get one merit with that habit. Our community was built so we can help each other. So we can understand what bitcoin is all about. Once you stop posting some nonsense stuff and posting some quality content/posts that other users might found useful. Then there is the beginning of your merit journey. Asking for some merits is like begging money from people so you can start your own business. Go work hard and you'll receive your so-wanted "merit".

Stop doing bounties (which is everything you do) and start reading to gain knowledge. Then, start writing useful posts and helping people. P.S: Really useful posts and NOT redundant posts in Spam Mega Threads.

Example of a (real) redundant post in a SMT:

Title of the thread: "Why you should choose bitcoin?"

Answer: "I think now people are moving to altcoins from bitcoin. Many investors are still stick to bitcoin as it has long success history and they might have some emotions to it."
Thank you for sharing

I don't know how many post seen like that. Why not search before posting like this common question. If you always make questionable post how you deserve merit? Make some useful and HQ post, help forum to keep spam free. Then automatically you will get merit.

when is the merit? When you stop posting like this anymore, you can get merit. However, article quality is also a part.

Hi! I have been active for over 3 months, but I do not know how to get merit, I do not know much, so how do I contribute information to everyone
You should stop asking for merit, creating threads with merit word, stop thinking about merit when you compose your threads.
However, as others pinpointed that your post history shows low quality threads, which will never help you to get  merits.
Instead of focusing on joining bounties, you should stop doing this and spend your time to find helpful topics, threads from Jet Cash, iasenko, mdayonliner, TMAN, etc.
Learn from them, apply their tutorials, then compose your better threads. Eventually, merits will come someday.

Thanks for the advice

I have to say merit and the activities are different , you can get 14 activities in every two weeks , but you can't get merits by waiting a long time . The only one way is you posted nice post or thread , Someone like this and send some merit form him to you .

First of all you should know that there are very few questions that have not been asked before. So searching the forums is always a good placed to start before making new topics for every question.

As hilariousandco said : in this post : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/faq-everything-you-need-to-know-about-forum-activity-account-ranks-and-merit-2766177
"How do I receive merit?

You are awarded merit by people of the community if they find your post helpful or informative."

So when talking about merit then remember:  need to read a lot of articles that got merit.
after that try to follow their articles and write something informative like them.
you can see these posts here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats

Lots of repeatedly threads recommend tips like yours.
You are able to earn and get merit if you will going to construct an informative, on-topic, constructive and meaningful post or statement.

I suggest the topic author to do following things to get merits:
Rule #1: Never think of merits.
Rule #2: Never break rule #1.
Rule #3: Only publishing threads if they are good, necessary for discussions.

You are able to earn and get merit if you will going to construct an informative, on-topic, constructive and meaningful post or statement. Something that will help the readers to gain information regarding to their confusions like instructions, suggestions, recommendations and ideas. If you will going to do that, many users will give merits to your posts.

Merit is not given based on the amount time you have spent on the forum. Instead it is given by other members on the forum with rank Member or above and who think that your posts have achieved certain quality. So in order to earn merits, you have to make sure that your posts are of high quality!

That's also my problem I have a hard time getting merits,i sure this is the problem of every new members in bitcointalk like me.But I am not loosing hope that someday I will get merits and rank up soon.
Your problem is different to that of the OP (trumhacker04), although with the same result: 0 merits.

The OP until now is using the forum to contribute to himself through campaigns, but has not shed a single though towards contributing to the forum, thus the result. What’s more, history weighs a lot here, so all the posts up until now go in the wrong direction merit wise.

In your case, your posts are not social media reports, but bear a very thin content. There are trillions of a kind on the forum and these are never merited (fishy crafts aside). Don’t focus so much on posting to raise activity, but try to give much more thought/research to each of your posts. Merit is a scare delicacy, and as such, can and is very choosy.

Your post has three divisions so let's tackle them individually. You first mentioned that you have been active for the past three months but have not received merit yet. Getting merit doesn't depend on your activeness in the forum but the value you add to the forum and that is the reason why you see some newbies with merit but jnr. members like you do not have. Secondly, you said you do not know much knowledge here. How do you expect to add value to the platform when you are empty. Please use some weeks to navigate the forum and acquire more knowledge before you resume posting. Don't forget knowledge is power. Lastly if you want to know how to get merit here, when you see someone with merit, tap on the 'merit', at his profile, it will take you to the posts which earned that person those merits. Read and make quality posts like that the next time you want to contribute to the forum. Apply these and thank me later.

Really?
Merit will not appear in your account that the sender is required to donate it for you or buy.

The most common way is hard work on the Forum with the opening topic/reply and accompanying the articles quality, if lucky you will receive Merit from a few longtime members in Forum I also hope to achieve that as you
Good luck for you anh me  Cool
Please stop your merit-complaining shitshows in the forum.
You, of course, have rights to fork the forum, and leave it.
Let's do it, I strongly support if you decide leaving the forum.  Lips sealed

The merit feature is comparatively new and hence it will take some time for the users to inculcate the habit of giving the merit points for the valuable posts. However, do not stop sharing your knowledge with others because that's the only way to gain merit in a legitimate way. Consider merit system like Facebook like the feature but here on bitcointalk, one can send the limited amount of merits to others and hence everyone would give first priority to the quality while determining the parameters of giving merits.

The fact is "Hope can not give you higher probability to get merits from others", only higher qualited threads can help you.
Spending couple of seconds to scan around your post history, I don't see any odds for you to be rewarded merits for your posts which are low-qualitied.
You should improve your threads' quality before starting to hope again.

Hi! I have been active for over 3 months, but I do not know how to get merit, I do not know much, so how do I contribute information to everyone
You should use the search feature and explore the bitcointalk forum and i'm sure you'll gain knowledge in all of the important matters about cryptocurrencies and the forum itself. That will be your first task to do before you earn merit, once you did all the task then there's a high chance that you will received merit and also you contributed to the forum. Meta Section will be your first guide on how/what to do! Here's the link to the meta section (I'll give you the link so you can start right away after you read this) - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=24.0. Good Luck on your journey!

yeah we have a lot of work to do here and we need to do some research and gain experiences by reading the articles of others we need to sharpen our mind to be able to get that merit, we need to gain some knowledge here and help others

You are right. This forum is filled with knowledge but people don't realise it. I joined this forum just for airdrops and bounties but I now I see how much I've missed. Going to search new topics and read them about crypto, as I'm new and don't know almost everything except for what I got from twitter which is basically nothing.

Once we get knowledge and start to share it, I'm sure we'll be rewarded with merit then.

I totally have to agree with you here. I was thinking with that much activity he should surely get some merit but most of it looks to be bounties.

Contribute quality post and you will be rewarded. It is the way to get merit here. Merit will be given by merit sources or member who got sMerit, so I guess you need more time to read and find out about quality post.
If you feel your post that is deserve Merit, you can apply in Merit services outside. You should do research and read more about how Merit work. Go Meta section, you will find all information
