I'm learning how to trade crypto and I hear a lot say that it's best to invest in Coins when Bitcoin resets. So what are the signs that Bitcoin is resetting? Not asking when it resets only God knows but when a reset has happened?

I'm not really sure what you mean by bitcoin resetting, maybe when it is on a bear market? Definitely all the signs are already here from the last all time high of $60++k last November, and then we go down to $32k++ last January. Now the price seems to be settling down to $40k'ish. If you are going to be a long term holder, then it's better to buy altcoins that is in the top 10, like ETH, BNB, DOT and others and then wait for the price to go up in the next couple of years.

Until now I can't figure out what is meant by bitcoin reset according to the version you ask, because so far it seems that no one has been able to do anything about bitcoin because it is a characteristic that bitcoin has to not be intervened by anyone.

but maybe the price will return according to what you want, of course there can be changes if many institutions or large companies simultaneously make one move, it can be ascertained that there will be price changes because they have high enough funds and bitcoins so that it can affect the price .

the principle is to buy when you feel the price is worth buying and sell when the price you think is quite profitable for you.
I am also confused on what do you mean by reset here so i come up with this from my research. The bitcoin price has soared around 250% since October. Moving past the pandemic, the World Economic Forum (WEF) has come up with a plan called “The Great Reset”. Basically, it means a complete transformation of the global economy. ... The WEF see it as an opportunity for recovery. https://www.finyear.com/The-Great-Reset-and-Bitcoin_a43630.html

What they may mean is probably the bottom of the price because every time there is a dip or correction like we always say, there will be a price where we can say it's the bottom. RSI always is a good indicator for identifying the bottom which is the price touches 30, it becomes oversold, and that means the price already is very close to the bottom.

Sample of it in the weekly chart using the default RSI. The circled points aren't really the bottom but it acted as a bottom because it bounced from there and very close to 30 line.

I don't quite understand what you mean by reset. Are you talking about its total depreciation or the price it will drop during the bear period? If you're talking about the complete devaluation, I don't think there will be such a situation. Because bitcoin will never fall into such a situation in my opinion. But if you are talking about the bear season, it is not possible for us at least to know such a thing. If we know such a situation, we will not try to make money, we will win. It would be nice if you explain.

Everyone has asked the meaning of the term reset. It's a very valid question. Because it's a vague term. If you are asking about the day when the big market breakouts happened; You can track positive divergences in the rsi indicator (https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/markets/technical-classroom-positive-rsi-divergence-in-rec-suggests-buying-4318441.html). If you are asking about the complete disappearance of Bitcoin; nothing like this will happen! Don't wait! There is no "square triangle" :)

Bitcoin has no reset and bitcoin is only having a dump or correction. This can occur anytime and none knows accurately about when bitcoin dump will happen. The only god knows that  Cheesy
you can predict at least about when it will come through use various strategy and TA like using RSI and many more. This will help you to predict the direction of bitcoin and whole of crypto market since all of altcoins are following bitcoin and it can be seen through doing a prediction use technical analysis combined with the fundamental analysis. I know this any prediction created by human will always have a chance to be wrong but at least you have tried that. So we have passed bitcoin reset and it may not come again soon.

Welcome to the Bitcoin forum! May I ask what do you mean by reset or you mean pull back? I think @BitcoinEthan was referring to a pull back or probably a correction where is the best time to invest. It's good that you are curious about it and we are here to give our insight but that does mean that we are right since we have different opinions and perspective, personally I use stochastic RSI to determine if the Bitcoin is overbought or oversold but you can use other indicators as well this is a advance topic I think you should stick first to the basics and master it first.

Anyway feel free to ask, there's nothing wrong about it we are here to give our thoughts.

Sure, there would be a price drop in bitcoin! However, a reset or large price crash, in my opinion, is quite unlikely because there are several factors to consider before you can be certain that a great crypto reset is on the horizon.

From a technical standpoint, it could be tied to a serious security hole that compromises bitcoin's integrity, causing users to lose faith in bitcoin as a secure alternative payment mechanism. Or perhaps it has something to do with more improved science/mathematics, rendering cryptography skewed which I think is very unlikely because many of bitcoin developer are constantly improving it.

It could also be a huge global war that has a detrimental impact on the economy and so much more. The point is that it's still a multibillion-dollar question that none of us can answer, especially now that bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general are so vast that they have significant applications in today's world. Not only that, many institutions have adopted bitcoin to the point where they are now purchasing it in large quantities.

It's really hard to understand but i guess you meant about bearish market or something like making bitcoin goes to the bottom and then after you have bought it and the price of bitcoin will be going up again. Bitcoin reset is unpredictable. You need to ask the whale about when they will be dumping their bitcoin to the market and this will make bitcoin to be reset again from the bottom.
Remember that bitcoin reset will not always become the best time to invest and why? The reset can go even deeper. You will be trapped and then you will not able to leave from the market. It will not always be profitable. It's hard to know where is the bottom.

When you see the double or multiple bottom or top in a long time frame not 1HR timeframe or below. This is a common sign that Bitcoin already reset or simply the reversal of the trend. There's always a retest on resistance and support at that time but it usually be broken on a couple of days to continue the trend. You are right that altcoin make a move after the BTC finish it's own phase of the trend. Trader usually miss this and only look on shorter time frame chart which result to incorrect technical analysis.

You have added a new difficulty to understanding what you are trying to achieve by adding the word "reset" which you need to define first.
Generally we will assume that you are trying to gain more bitcoin when the price is fluctuating so the stablecoin pair, BTC/ETH will be ideal for this.

Note that investing in altcoins is profitable in the short term but bitcoin performs better in the long term, and buying those currencies means that you lose more bitcoin in the long term.

You must also remember that achieving profit and loss is also linked to taxes, and the method of calculating them may seem different from one country to another.

It is not recommended for beginners to trade today because basically market movements are very volatile in the short term so there are no definite signs that can show that prices will soon go down or up, so we need sufficient knowledge about analyzing market movements for us before making trading in order to minimize losses.
For beginners, I think it's better to invest long term because in the long term we just have to wait for the Dip to make a purchase and then release it again when the price has gone up past the buy price.

Reset of what? There's no reset for bitcoin, the price, the economy, the supply, and everything that it has won't come into a reset. The person who told you about bitcoin to have a reset is probably still lacked a lot of things about his knowledge of bitcoin.
Maybe the reset that you're talking about is the dip or correction that happens usually and the sign of it happening is when the price of bitcoin plummets.

First time I heard the term "reset" when refferring to crypto, I was more aware of the term in computers. Cheesy But anyway I understood the gist of it.

What you are referring to is drop in price of bitcoin. This is specific to bitcoin trading and it cannot be predicted from beforehand, just like any speculative market. You can place orders and leave it there, it it execute when the price gets reached. But searching for specific signs for the price to fall is a wrong way to approach it. Someone might say that using technical analysis and checking volume changes they can predict this, but I highly doubt that. Being an overbought market usually gives a sign that the market might drop, but it is not 100% and it cannot say the specific time when it will happen.

If you see the current trend, market is trading sideways/in stagnancy for a few days after the rise to 44-45k USD. From here, both up and down is possible. So I place orders on both sides and see how it unfolds.

I hope this was what you were asking about. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask. Smiley

Can you tell me what meant of reset from what you have said above? did you mean when bitcoin gets dumped to the bottom and you call this a reset for the bitcoin? Have you ever heard this? buy at the dip and then sell at the top. I think this is the best advice that must be taken by anyone. The bear market will be giving you more opportunity to buy more and more bitcoin at the bottom price.

So what are the signs that Bitcoin is resetting? Not asking when it resets only God knows but when a reset has happened?
There's no exact date about bitcoin reset. If you have bought some good tokens during the bitcoin dump and you must be a lucky guy as you have made a lot of money as a return from your bitcoin. I think that you have been missing what you call that a bitcoin reset. bitcoin is slowly recovering again and buy now or regret it later.  Cheesy do your own research. Im feeling confused about what you meant about to reset.
