You are right when gambler is focusing on not losing his bankroll then automatically he can make profits from gambling. To prevent losses we must stop gambling at right time. When gambler is good at stopping at right time then probably he can gamble for profit making also.

But we should focus on other aspects of gambling so that we will not lose big. Even pro gambler can suffer losses but we must stop gambling after some limit. This way a gambler can have good experience with gambling either fun and entertainment or with profit making also.

This. I never really liked gambling from the start because of the risks it involves especially when you bet a high amount of money. But to answer your question on when to leave gambling, you should leave once you lose or win twice to thrice in a row. Gambling creates an everlasting cycle of you going-in and out of it despite your winnings. You may have the confidence to gamble again when you experience winning but when you start losing, that is the time on where you think that you want to recover the money that you have lost. Agreed with you it depends on our bankroll how much we can afford to lose and what is our expectation from gambling. I mostly play with little deposit only on weekend or on holidays when I had a lot of time to spend on online gambling if I lose than don't try to chase and that is good strategy for me.

Setting reasonable goals for every gambling session, for example, you stop every time when you manage to win additional 20% of your initial bankroll.
Set hard rules - never gamble with more money you initially had, lack of restrainment is the main reason behind 'I always lose it all' syndrome.
