I first came across bitcoin in 2016 when the price was around $640 and I never heard of any altcoin by then. Now, look at how many altcoins we got, thousands, right?
For me it was in 2012-2014 (this gap, can't remember accurately).
Basically I am within digital forensics industry and while investigating deep web I saw that some services accepted bitcoin as form of payment.
It was some $300/btc and I would have never believed that such thing would go famous

I participated in bitcoin through a friend. He understands it, he helped me in the early days of entering the market. And I made a pretty high profit at the time.
I heard about bitcoin from my friend and I read about btc in facebook page year 2013, not yet interested to invest that time and never expected the BTC value now is very high.
I remember browsing an internet forum where I heard the word Bitcoin for the first time back in 2011. People said it was going to get enormous. I made a .txt file where I gathered all the links the post posters provided (how to mine, where to buy, where to store) and a few years passed since then when I truly bought my first Bitcoin. What is your story?
