Wow!!!
This is expository to new bees onboarding the system and platform. This could guide and give them hint about how the system works from reading people's experience and encounter. With these comments I believe the many would learn from it as there's a saying that says experience is a teacher. I just wish everyone on this platform could just give their experience and encounter here so as many would see and know how it feels being into a system newly.

I believe everyone here onboard this platform once had a very  though and challenging moment with bitcoin at the initial start. At first it seems unrealistic then looks like a scam but at last it was a real deal. sharing our experiences and worst moment might just help others build on and also bring us back to the very first beginning of our journey into bitcoin then. This would also help us evaluate how far we have gone and also creates room for more on-boarding of more adopters. Sharing our experiences on how we started would also encourage more to be steadfast  in the system. This would go a long way in helping others at the verge of giving up on bitcoin.

How was your worst moment and experience like and how were you able to handle it then ?

I don’t really have some worst moments with Bitcoin. I just had doubts during the first time when I was introduced in 2014. But I ignored it for like more than 3 years until it reached $10k for the first time.

I also have regrets in not buying Bitcoin early though. When I sold it quickly because of having “no hope” for it to grow, then a week later it skyrocketed to its new all-time high and I was like furious lol.

Right now, I am doing DCA with Bitcoin despite the uncertainties of its price. I’ll just have to accumulate wealth as much as I can to prepare for the big rain later on a.k.a 2024 halving.

Early on I made some bad investment decisions with alts and various projects within the cryptospace. No breaking losses, but a waste nonetheless, especially since those decisions that did turn out profitable were in hindsight not profitable enough to justify the risk. Waking up to a project turning out to be a scam, or at least not as groundbreaking as expected -- not a good feeling.

With Bitcoin itself though I just watch the ebb and flow of the markets. I watch them closely and with great interest, mind you, but at this point lamenting about missed buying or selling opportunities feels like complaining about the weather. So no bad moments with Bitcoin, but a few with the cryptospace surrounding it.

Similar to HeRetiK, early on in my Bitcoin experience I got involved with the ICO craze and
traded some of my precious Bitcoin for what I thought then would be worthwhile projects
only to realise a year or so later they were useless. I - like many others of the time realise
now that Alt coins dont last with the exception of a handful of useful ones, like Litecoin and Monero.

The second bad experience was getting involved in some HYIP scams which at the time
I wasnt aware about, that was a big learning curve and luckily I was a tinybit skeptical going
into it and only lost a very small amount of Bitcoin

I also had a similar bad experience but i did not buy in the ICO directly. I remember the time when binance used to do IEO sort of thing in early stages and when those coins listed on the exchange, they pumped big time. My mistake was that i invested a big amount in a binance IEO listed coin as soon as it was listed on the exchange. Unluckily the coin was dumped too hard and i have lost the investment. Although since my buying was in the spot, i held the coin but later sell it at a loss as i needed money to trade and do other stuff.

Almost completely people don't experience bad things with bitcoin, a correction event that puts bitcoin in it cannot be categorized as being in a bad situation, because we can get out when bitcoin has increased.
I excluded bitcoin at the time it was introduced, because at that time it was not a source of reference for us to say worst. But after a long journey that has been passed by bitcoin we can conclude, that the only cryptocurrency that is stable and good is bitcoin.

We understand that people say bad maybe because of placing investment in bitcoin at the wrong time, so people sell bitcoin at a time of decline, they end up losing at that phase. Should people understand, that bitcoin will return to a good track, then panic and do something harmful is unnecessary. For these reasons, understanding and strategies to enter the market are quite necessary, so that the decisions taken are truly right on target, but it is an affirmation that bitcoin is not in a bad condition at any time.

It's always natural that in life we must face challenges, irrespective of whatever activities we may have got ourselves involved in and Bitcoin is no exception to that. I have once had both good and bad times ever since i got myself involved in Bitcoin, of which i'll say those bad experience could be linked as a result of having little or no knowledge about Bitcoin and how it works, since i was still a newbie back then in 2019 during my final year in college when a friend of mine introduce me to a stuff called of Bitcoin investment whereby you get double of whatever amount you invested, not knowing it was all a scam, and that was how i lost all my feeding money in that period, all because of greed, wanting to double what i had

My moment, challenge, regret and bad experience in bitcoin is that I didn't sell it in 2021 when the bitcoin price was high if I'm not mistaken around 60,000 dollars. because I thought bitcoin would penetrate to 120000 dollars, so I was too greedy at that time, even though at that time if I sold it I would make a big profit, because I bought bitcoin from a cheaper price of around 40000 dollars. and until finally the bear market came, and at that time I didn't sell it because according to my predictions and analysis there would be a higher price bounce and I didn't think there would be a very deep bear market until the bitcoin price finally dropped, and I was very frustrated because in terms of the price of my money disappeared, until finally I decided not to sell it, and until now I don't sell it because I believe that in the future there will be a bigger bull market...

I always see bitcoin as a challenge everyday. But remembering having a worst moment in it, I can say I don’t have any because I came into the market well prepared and knowledgeable about bitcoin. When bitcoin price drops badly, I understand that it’s only a part of its volatility and eventually it will always recover and start surging its price again. I guess being patient is already my best virtue and that helps me so much not to panic every time bitcoin is very unstable.

experience about knowing bitcoin or bitcoin price: when it comes to price, I think all members are the same because it relates to individual personal mentality. When summarized into predictions of accuracy, which brings pleasure or disappointment
If a moment about knowing bitcoin and believing in bitcoin would be different...?
in it there is an issue that will give negative and positive values....
like me personally at the beginning of knowing about bitcoin I felt this was a scheme of fraud that led people to a fomo, so that they were grouped and left behind, but curiosity made me look for information, read articles and see videos in the media about bitcoin, and finally anchored on the forum This is in 2017 and trust is growing, even though I feel disappointed with the price in the following year

Bitcoin didn't seem real to me at first, it's true because I'm not someone who easily believes in new things I haven't learned especially when it comes to investing. It took me some time to learn, I also needed some answers to basic questions and I'm grateful that someone could convince me of bitcoin eventually.

How was your worst moment and experience like and how were you able to handle it then ?
There are no worst moments, I just need some time to get to know some basics before I finally get directly involved in a highly volatile market. Now that everything goes hand in hand, I know the risks and I also understand what I need to do in the long term.

I guess that was those phishing site of Blockchain wallet in Google. If I can recall correctly, a lot of fake Blockchain wallet sites were like the first results in Google back then. Not sure if they were already taken down depending on the search query made, but I hope that they really took it down because imagine how much loss would it be to the current holders of Bitcoin these days even if it was not a whole 1 Bitcoin.

I would be traumatized if that happened to me. 0.11 BTC is not a joke when converted here in my local currency if you would ask me.

How was your worst moment and experience like and how were you able to handle it then ?

My worst moment was after the bull run way back 2017. I managed to buy myself a personal computer during that time while studying in college from doing different crypto-related tasks. I was already planning to give some to my parents the next year of that since I have nothing to spend on after I bought my PC. I promised them that I would handle the expenses for fixing our garage thinking that my income will continue until the market crash happened in 2018 and I lose 80% of my crypto portfolio. I told them that I can't handle the expenses anymore since the value of my assets went down a lot. They don't understand how crypto works so they thought that I was scammed and heard many hurtful words from them with that experience. I've never sold my assets during that crash since the value is almost worthless. I stay away for a few years on the crypto space to focus in my studies. After I finished it in 2020, my group chat in crypto started to become noisy and I found out that the crypto market is starting to go up again. I immediately checked my portfolio and saw that its value recovered by 70%. I was able to recover my money during that pump and use it as a capital to start my crypto journey again.

Oh man, I had a very similar experience with my investments. I bought right when Bitcoin dumped after the 2013 bull run and felt so good about it, but then it kept going up in 2016 and 2017 and it was going up for so long that I became used to the price. I mean it was above 5-6k for over a year and I honestly thought that worst case scenario it would be back to that level.
I had some plans to buy things back then and took it slow because we were moving to a new house and furnishing everything... Then it started to fall and I was completely ready mentally for a drop to 6k and then it stayed there for 5 or 6 months and crashed to 3k. That was probably the most shocking thing in my years of holding bitcoin, but I didn't panic sell. I thought - fuck that, they aren't getting my money below their real value and it was a great move by me once again. Smiley

The worst and most challenging moment I had with Bitcoin was back in 2014, when I was unable to withdraw my Bitcoin.  Yup, you guessed it, the collapse of Mt. Gox, which at the time felt like a death blow to Bitcoin.
Were you one of those eligible users that will receive their funds back?

I don't think this is a worst thing on my part but, as we knew a few years ago when somebody talks about bitcoin to their friends and family. You know what will be their reaction?

They'll think it was all a scam and they'll think that you're a scammer because you own bitcoin. Well, as years have passed, they all regret what they've thought and wished to have bought when it was too cheap.

But having those Mt.Gox creditors would really be getting their coins then that one feels like heaven eh?  Wink

Speaking in my situation where it do usually in that 2015-2016 where this is the golden days of crypto ponzi's and hyips where i do really end up on losing tons of money
believing that i could really make myself rich but eventually it did really end up on a disaster.

Remembering that hashocean ponzi scheme which had been long time running until it ended up on being a scam which really a disaster.

The worst moment with Bitcoin is selling the asset when the price is low but when it reaches ATH I can only bite my finger and watch it is the moment of regret I have ever felt where people experience huge profits whereas I just watched and this was carried away by the ambition and panic of the price which hasn't gone up.

But for my loss, from the altcoins there I experienced a very large loss even more than half of my portfolio, this may be due to being consumed by FOMO, hype so I panicked that someone bought a large number of altcoins and in the end there was no value, keep on new projects but it all becomes a dump and indeed the moment on altcoins is so bad I always call it worthless shitcoin.

That's been a lesson for me and I don't want to repeat it again, but at this point sticking to bitcoin as my consistency to keep investing mainly with the DCA strategy system and some buying Dips to hold for a long time, this is something I've been doing since 1 years and has accumulated bitcoin to continue to accumulate.

My crypto experience has been great, I am fortunate to be aware of the scam tactics in the crypto space. My worst moment would be not selling my bitcoin when the price was close to $60k in 2021. I was infatuated with with wall observer thread and bitcoin reaching 100k$ that I hodl. Worse decision ever! I could have sold then and bought the dip making huge profits.
I don't have any bad experience with Bitcoin but Bitcoin priced when it was $ 4,000 in 2017 I suspected to purchase it. Which incident I can't forget yet. However, I am now so positive that Bitcoin is in the position I can afford to believe in it. I also believe that Bitcoin will not come to the forefront, but from its current price, that opportunity will be created again.

Those early bitcoin doubler schemes around 2017, that's where I was exposed that bitcoin is being used by scammers. Not that it discourages me, but it open my eyes that there are a lot of criminals in the world that I'm going to get involved. So I should be careful and in turn, should give warnings to others not to fall for this trick.

Definitely, it's a expensive lesson to learn, nevertheless I'm happy that I have experience is, because if it, sooner or later I might be falling to a bigger scams in the future. So I started not to trust anyone, but do my own research and investigation.

With altcoins, I have some experiences like losing half of my capital because I got FOMO'ed, bought a coin at the top just to see it going down hours after I bought it and many more and I learned from all of it. Now I don't have any bad moments with altcoins.

Since I started my investing journey, I didn't have any worst moment in Bitcoin. Maybe this can be considered as a bad moment when I invested 40$ into Bitcoin last January 2018 just to see it going down months after I bought but at that time, I was still a newbie because I started in 2017 so I guess that's a lesson to me and after that, I didn't have any bad moments or challenges with Bitcoin. Maybe that's because I'm not that affected anymore with price movements. I'm not making unnecessary moves that will make my portfolio diminish.

For sure there are some here who has bad moments with Bitcoin especially for those who bought at the peak or near the peak. I just hope that you are still ok and just continue to trust Bitcoin because it will recover soon like what's happening throughout the years.

How was your worst moment and experience like and how were you able to handle it then ?
Trading or converting my Bitcoins to random altcoins before, this was my worst experience when I was first introduced to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
At first, I was very happy owning Bitcoin but after that here comes the altcoins that really eye catchy when you are newbie like you don't have yet any knowledge at all. It was all a lesson for me now because seems most of newbies also experienced what I did.
