You can see the positive in everything. It's some kind of Christmas present for buyers. They now get a discount on the price for fresh BTC before the next rise happens. And all others should just relax, enjoy Christmas time and not care about cryptos but their families. And next year BTC should rise hard again.  Grin

I agree with you. it is time to enjoy and relax with the family at the end of this year. the beginning of the new year will all be normal again.

I think there is nothing to worry about. Most of people tend to sell their btc so that they have money on the upcoming Christmas celebration but I'm sure that btc will rise again maybe weeks after the holidays.

Instead of worrying, let's take these opportunity to buy more bitcoins. Everything is gonna be fine. (I hope so)

I think exactly the same, hope it goes this way

I am hoping for the same, too. If it will not stabilize, I will be brokenhearted.

I can finally say now that it's not just relationships  can break a person's heart, Bitcoin is one of it! I hope this could be fixed soon. Bitcoin has been a good source of income for me since the very start. This has helped me with my personal finances as well as with my investements to prosper.

only ripple rise???

I think there is a significant transfer of funds to Ripple, but it is not large enough to account for decline of all other top coins.

Actually, bitcoins correction is because of its volatility. Bitcoins volatility is the thing that makes him stand out from any fiat currency. If you will ask if it could stop, I think the correction will never stop. And bitcoins price will never settle.

Bitcoin is now in its correction at Christmas time. Do you think BTC will rise again after this time?

Yes, of course. I believe bitcoin will survive and be able to rise again. now is the end of the year. it is very difficult to define predictions. and maybe in 2018 everything will be normal or maybe even better.

Nobody know for sure. 30% corrections are not uncommon, there was 40% dump in September (from around $5k to $3k), but it has shorter duration. Right now everything falls, bitcoin and all top altcoins. It probably means that large investors are cashing out, but I cannot imagine that they will abandon such lucrative market. Therefore, we will see another pump.

I am not expecting Bitcoin to rise anywhere in the first quarter of the next year but 2018 will definitely put Bitcoin on the new all-time high levels considering the rapid growth rate and opportunities during the first quarter so overall I am bullish on Bitcoin but correction will be there for next 2 to 3 months and then the situation will start reverting in my opinion. This is helpful for the growth of Bitcoin in the long run so nothing to worry about it.

Just one of the many normal 'not-so-normal' things happening right now in Bitcoin. This great dip is now anymore a big surprise though personally I was hoping that it can be reaching at least $25,000 before making a big correction but then I am wrong. Right now, we are all awaiting for the full implementation of the Lightning Network which can hopefully help decongest the network and dampen the ridiculously high transaction fees. Bitcoin is the most resilient cryptocurrency and though it can be battered by many defectors am confident that the future of cryptocurrency still belongs to Bitcoin while those pretenders can be good alts (or where to spread your eggs). Things will eventually go back to where it was once...in the $20K level maybe by next year. The things happening as am making this reply are all part of the dynamism within the Bitcoin network and though many can be converting their Bitcoin it would be better to just HODL for the moment and wait for the storm to calm down.

haha, certainly. You should not be worry. This is just a dump of Shark tanks. They has sold their Bitcoin to get profit and attract investors can buy Bitcoin with low price. The price will recover at the beginning of 2018.

Do you think that is the reason why bitcoin price falls down now? I really hope that btc will recover its price in the coming weeks or early in 2018. I need to withdraw it to buy some personal needs so Im just really hoping that btc price will rise again.

Such a huge dip was happening right now from $19k down to $13k,i can see panic selling for holders today..yeah i also think of that while christmas is just 3 days to go almost everyone wanted this day to become the most special one that truly affects btc decrease of value.Lets just hope that this dip is just temporary and hope it would recover soon.
Im so happy we will soon be able to buy cheaper bitcoins thanks to the new idiot traders who invested too early

At the moment it's just a ponzi scheme with no real use case. Move on to Litecoin while you can, soon your btc holdings will need bigger fee to transfer than you have in a wallet.
Saying that people should be moving into Litecoin sounds like an even larger ponzi scheme than what you're saying Bitcoin is. Why not go into something like XRP, ETH, BCH and the like? Why settle for a second-rate crypto that couldn't even pull off what it was trying to do in the first place; be GPU proof?

But for Bitcoin, either it's going to be too damn expensive for everyone to use and that'll reduce the queued transactions or it will simply have to accept larger block sizes because it won't be able to run any other way.

Right now I'm just lmaoing @ the 282k transactions that are unconfirmed, and you can really see that a lot of people are trying to move their funds into any exchange so they can sell. What a day, eh?

TRX is making thing happen if you been watching the community has been growing fast on reddit, Ill be trading with that, XRP looks like a pump scam now waiting to blow. American express is just a rumor to pump it

I think it will settle in the 12k range during the holiday period and then start a new growth cycle in January

The last 2 retrenchments ( dumps) were down around to 61-68% of the top, the last one was only a few weeks ago where we saw lows in the 12xxx range...  so ff you believe in technical analysis the bottom is 13009-13120.

The holidays always trade less volume and now futures traders could be pushing the price down as the holidays approach, as its easier to launch a short attack this time of year... you will commonly see stocks that have been trading up through mid December get hammered by hedgies around the 18th... looks like the same type of behavior now...

All the pro traders I know are buying as much as they can right now, but thats just people I know.
