Meaning we wont be talking about bitcoin in terms of value (0.001 or whatever) but...

in satoshis. And when someone mentions like "half a bitcoin" ur like "ur talkin a lot of money here" 50 million satoshis...? damn..
That will not become a trend with bitcoin users anytime soon, i am sure it will be very confusing to see others quoting bitcoin in satoshi's whiles others are quoting it the normal way.

Get used to it since it is really being mentioned on this way knowing that satoshis is the term being used when you do tried up to partition bitcoin on its value. 50M satoshis might really be big in ears but for a casual bitcoin user it would really be just a normal communication for sure and they can able to point out on the value of the term you do said. This thing would only vary on those people who are new on bitcoin, they will really be amazed on the amount but totally it does have a little value on bitcoin.

A satoshi is, what, 1.0*10^-8 of a Bitcoin? That gives you can answer as to what kind of value you're going to have to have in order for Bitcoin to be measured in satoshis. Now keep in mind, that's a dollar value for satoshis, so there could be some variance if you're saying that something like "100 satoshis" then you'd be looking at $1m/piece, if you want something smaller than that then $10m/piece and 1sat:1$ would mean $100m/piece. That would definitely be an interesting time though, I don't know if something like that is necessarily considerable but you never know.

I think it is already been measured in satoshis, me and my friend are talking about thousands and millions of satoshi in every altcoin price.  It is quite hard to say  0.xx BTC than saying 1 sat.  I think users already knows about this and already calling Bitcoin amount in satoshi or mBTC and other units of Bitcoin.

I'm thinking about this and we used to use the term of bitcoin into point zero zero zero bitcoin. And it's now a norm that we call bitcoin as it is but I don't think we will be on that day that everyone will be used to the term of using satoshi's and look on the next term of mbtc (millibitcoin) as it is not even that popular term for bitcoin and also the ubtc (bits) so I doubt it that there will be the day that we will be on that stage of calling, this shirt costs quarter of bitcoin but still point zero zero zero is still at use.

Nah i dont think it is going to happen, bitcoin needs to be worth more than $100 million dollars to see a satoshi at $1 each, it is not going to happen, because it is unreal. A lot of people see this possible, buy you all need to be realistic, this is not possible guys.
And why dont you use the term "mbtc"? it is more pretty than saying Satoshis, and it sounds good.
mBtc looks more elegant.

When one Satoshi is equal to one dollar it will probably be common place to speak in Satoshis, until then there will probably be a lot of half, quarter, or tenth of Bitcoin type talk.
When 1 satoshi = 1 dollar, it'll mean that the bitcoin is worth 100 million dollars. Unless dollar lose most of its actual value, there won't be enough money in the word to buy 22 millions BTC at that price.
If bitcoin is used more widely as a money then we'll talk of bitcoin cents (0.01) as a lot of currencies have their cents.

I already think in terms of satoshis. Its much easier to see something as being worth 40k satoshis than having to get your ahead around 0.0004 bitcoins everytime you think about it. And i think people are starting to think like this more and more as days go by... Wont take long before it is the main way to talk about btc.
It's no use to talk about satoshies yet, because that portion of bitcoin is way too little (yet).
Today, average amounts are 0,1 to 0,001 bitcoins, so if you relly want to name it somehow, the bitcoin cent would be a good and understandable expressin for an amount of 0,01 BTC that's about $50 these days. It's understandable and acceptable for the masses too, I guess. Using the 'deci' or 'centi' or other scientific expressions would not be clear enough for average joes (like me Smiley ).

I think the milli BTC and decided BTC would do better than satoshis but you never can say. If it gains wider use, then satoshis might come into day to day use.

It is just a unit measure in bitcoin price hierarchy so don't be confuse yourself in that. For unit level you can go with the below units measures.

Unit   Abbreviation   Decimal (BTC)
Algorithmic Max      20,999,999.9769
megaBitcoin   MBTC   1,000,000
kiloBitcoin   kBTC   1,000
Original Block Reward      50
Current Block Reward      25
decaBitcoin   daBTC   10
Bitcoin   BTC   1
deciBitcoin   dBTC   0.1
centiBitcoin   cBTC   0.01
milliBitcoin   mBTC   0.001
microBitcoin   uBTC   0.000001
Finney      0.0000001
Satoshi      0.00000001

It is actually measures in the form of decimals all the time very few says in mu btc or satoshi.

My friends and I don't usually use the term bitcoin when we're talking about transactions. We refer to it as satoshi since satoshi now means a lot and even satoshi would count and cost a lot too. So, maybe in the future the people would use the term bitcoin often.

Is everything exactly correct here? As far as I know, Satoshi is an integral part of biicoin, the minimum unit. It originated simultaneously with bitcoin and, most likely, with it, and disappears

i think we will not see that,
because if that thing happen, how much it will be for every transactions ?
at best we should see it at least around millibit(mBTC),
in the next few years later,we should see people calling it dBTC(deci-bitcoin),
and then cBTC(centi-Bitcoin) and lastly mBTC(milli-Bitcoin).
we will not see anthing below i think.

im talkin normal people. What u talk bout is nerd talk.  Cheesy U need to have somethin mass adaptable. But then again, bitcoin might be the virtual gold so it will never be a mass payment system.

I already frequently use MilliBits (or MilliBitcoin).  It's just easier to work with.  The value is the same order of magnitude as my local currency (U.S. dollars).

So, instead of 0.0053 bitcoins, I'll frequently say "5.3 millibits".

If something costs $5.60 today, it costs about 1 millibit.  If it costs $56, then it is about 10 millibits.
if to work mbtc calculation is very easy for us in calculating, mbtc amount can become big in the period of 5 - 10 years ahead. this is very possible by looking at the price of bitcoin that continues to grow. so the conclusion that I can sum up 1 mbtc can increase so equal to 1 btc
