Bitcoin is always up and down without predictable, now the price is about $ 2750 and for a few days it does look stable, I'm sure after the segwit finished or in november later, the price will reach $ 5000.
Ive been watching the markets sence bitcoin was 150$/BTC, i have been promoting bitcoin and the use of it for a long time, but why should BTC ever rise again? There have been a peak thru overbuying and now somebody has to pay = coin value drop.
Hard fork, soft fork doesnt matter the value wont rise above 2k$ again?

We can't predict what will the exact result of bitcoin after the august 1. It has two possibility of result which is back to hundred dollar the price of bitcoin either it will pump. If the segwit will happen the bitcoin rise again because they need to do is to upgrade the services of bitcoin that will results of encouraging some people to use the bitcoin. The bitcoin rise if the population of bitcoin increase because the supply will increase if they buy a bitcoin. Hard fork, soft fork doesnt matter the value wont rise above 2k$ again?

This is why BTC decrease people is not buying it and they decrease for like $200 and many people buy BTC and when it is stable again they put it back to it's original price.
$200 are you sure with that? that was too low if that happens maybe bitcoin is a big fall down and it will never happen again to rise after that . We don't know how low bitcoin peice may dump but it only takes some half of its Peak price .Bitcoins price will rise again after all issue like bip 91 is succesful. 
This is why BTC decrease people is not buying it and they decrease for like $200 and many people buy BTC and when it is stable again they put it back to it's original price.
If you follow daily price you never earn anything with bitcoin.

Yeah the price will be the step of the bitcoin that you will be going to sell but if you wanted to earn your profit, you should hold it for several days. Forgeting your coins and don't think to sell it while price is still not a healthy asset for dumping is much profitable by the time price will step up higher. Of course demand is the best keys for us to see price to rise eventually.

I think now we may have to wait the end of August and September. When the storm will be over and the thing more clear. there are still many people confused with the current situation and don't even understand what is this and that and why. Keep calm and bitcoin 
I can't predict the future, but I can predict it will go one of two ways. In scenario A, the favorite fork of Bitcoin go to 3000 again, while the less favored forks will dip a bit but keep the price they debuted at. In scenario B, everything goes down for the short term. If/when we fork, I think a lot of people will lose confidence in bitcoin, especially the newer people like myself.
Honestly I'm thinking scenario B is more likely, we are coming out of a bubble and I don't think the markets are done correcting yet.

It is really increasing little by little. I think it is not increasing bigtime because of the segwit in August 1. Most of the people hold their Bitcoin and planning to sell it after segwit. Maybe in that time, it will increase all of a sudden. We just need to observe and wiat 'til that day come and notice the change by ourselves. Bitcoin will still have loyal users when we talk about recovery, if bitcoin system is divided into two or three all will destroy the current price, I think the bitcoin we have now will still get full support from the market in August and be able to do the recovery as soon as possible, prices will also gradually increase according to the volume of purchases.

What's even wrong with most of you bitcoin has had really good increase this year why is that you always wan it to rise and always want profit and not any loss. All these years you were gold investors and probably after 4 years we used to get 50% profit but now bitcoin has been closing every year witg at least 200% profit but sometimes during the year the price fell so what if you always want profit go find something else

Well I may be a little late to the party, but I still feel like I could make a valuable contribution to the discussion.
Firstly, for the people who don't know the price of bitcoin is determined by a couple of things:
- Supply and demand
- Media attention
- The dark net
Bitcoin has already recovered and I think this is due to a couple of things:
- More supporters for segwit and the hard fork
- The snowball effect
These factors rose bitcoin by 800 overnight!

I knownafter this August 1 segwit occur, the bitcoin price will start to rise up again. As a Matter of fact this days, the bitcoin value is starting to rise again and it is getting stable. And after the success segwit the bitcoin will even more high. Hard fork, soft fork doesnt matter the value wont rise above 2k$ again?

The price is around 2000$ now which is significantly lower than 2500$ but still I don't think there is the reason for panic. I would call this a correction, maybe also under influence on August 1 predictions. And besides this is not the first time this is happening, volatility is normal and we have all seen it before.
Even though you say there is no need for panic, crowds already are panic and they started to sell their assets. Long term investors will never lose anything. Just need to be patient here.
I agree that long term investors will just be on hold and do nothing but will keep their bitcoins. I have some bitcoins for long term holding and I believe before that for sure the price can become higher again. And look on where we are now, the price went to $2,600 and it is ready to cross $2,700 so there's no doubt it will.
It's like a safe investment if you are going to see for the long term profits. And being a long term investors needs patience and dedication. It's not that bad to pinch some of your funds and investment in bitcoin but make sure that bigger volume of your bitcoins will be put on long term holding. Because it's clear also that the price will rise.
Example: Some people had sold all their Bitcoin when the price recovery to $2300 and waiting the price dip under $2000 again, but they not know this not stop in this price and breakout to highest price in one day
This is what we need first when we keep on holding bitcoin. We need to be calm and control our emotions. With your example, I'm one of those people that sold at $2,300 but wasn't able to buy back when the price went back at the lowest price. And right now the price of bitcoin now is increasing again because of the demand.
Well if you are closely monitoring the exchange sites or trading sites you could've seen bitcoin risen earlier and today it is currently ar around $2800 more or less, so to answer your topic I think it will try to reach $3000 before August 1 and if it drops by that day or around that time by the next couple of days or months coming it'll try to increase more, so keep your eyes on close and monitor its value on or after August 1.
To be honest im expecting on some exchanges for this price to be set for this weekend. We will might see new ATH before August 1st but that is only speculation mine speculation.
Think that after activation and many weeks after it, we will see huge movement in price dont expect to see right away but after some time of adoption.
So do you predict a sharp increase in bitcoin price after segwit thing? I understood you do, but I think it's not gonna be a straight forward increase in prices, including altcoins.

Investment in it is more favorable compared to other investments, because investment in the bitcoin is very different from the others. Because all the technology that brings the bitcoin latest and certainly different from the others. But indeed we must always be prepared in the face of all the things that happened, as all can happen at any time. So we should always do the preparation, so that it can overcome the bad with the good
