Topic: When will the new forum soft. get released? (Read 5373 times)

I've been using this forum since 2013 and although I find this forum software quite powerful,  there's something I would kill for: better mobile experience.

Nowadays most of us access the internet on the go,  reading cryptocoin  related news,  trading with TabTrader, tweeting etc. The only pain I experience on a daily basis is reading and posting in this forum using a smartphone screen. If you manage to fix that there's nothing I would else need for the rest of my life.

Just registered here and quite suprised to see the most important forum for one of the most high-tech topics in today's society to be running on such an old software. So it's good to see that there is work done on the new version. Not gonna lie, I do hope the new release comes sooner rather than later, this version feels super retro to me.

How far into development is the new forum software? Could a beta be released sometime this year?

Dude, I think you missed what I was alluded to. I was fond of the old search prior to some dude named theymos   fixing the site, now only able to search five sections at a time. Yes, I could, and have used Google, but that only works if the thread was indexed by them, which some threads are not like the trust rating of each and every member of this forum aren't indexed, thus how the hell is the world gonna find out that I'm a scammy ass fuck according to the venerable Leroy "Honestly" Fodor who tagged this and some of my alts, along with a another user's account who I cleverly tricked him into thinking it was me because Leroy is a fuckin retard?

I love this USELESS forum.

In re your last comment, if you're alluding to me, I'm not an informant but have spoke with them considering major investigations, but not of late. As for talkin' to people (users) on the phone, not that much.

I've grown fond of this platform, albeit I can't search this forum like I used to, only able to search 5 sections at a time when it's most desirable to search the entire forum. Hey, maybe theymos is purposely hampering my activities so not to inform ...  

I wonder how much custom work has been done on this forum.
I also don't want half the shit people want for "upgrades"

Part of the appeal of this place was that it is what it is.. SMF.
The familiarity and ease of use and simplicity etc is a good thing.

I would vote for common sense.
No need for radical changes.. just revamp the stuff that OBVIOUSLY needs it.

For example.. the Trust System ?
Is it going to be fixed ?
People want it "Different" but that means opening one hell of a can of worms.

I wonder if people gave much thought to the negative effect of the changes they asked for.
I also am done with "updates" on pretty much anything.
I would shove a gun in my mouth before using Windows 10 for example.

99% of my software on my PC was frozen years ago forever.

The one we got had 3 i think.. at least since i got here in 2013.

anyway.. blame the NSA ..they keep submitting snooping feature requests.
Auto dump data to their servers was probably implemented first.
I'd be stunned if they were not behind a hack here or perhaps in full co-operation with theymos before.
