As an investor on bitcoin,I know that most people invested to make profit by buying their bitcoin and try their possible best to hold on to their bitcoin till the next bull run, which will be a perfect time to sell and make profit. My question goes like this
1. What price do you think that bitcoin will hit in the next ATH.
2. When do you plan to sell and make good profit from your bitcoin portfolio,is it next bull season or the next two bull market, because bitcoin price is always tempting during the bull run. Give me your target price that you will be happy to sell off your bitcoin.
Let's discuss.
I'm sure one day Bitcoin will reach its newest ATH, maybe it will reach $100k but I don't have to wait for that price for me to sell my Bitcin, right now I think before investing we must have a profit plan so when the target is reached I will sell it and will buy it again when the market is being corrected.
But all of that comes back to each of them because everyone has a different strategy.
I do not really have that type of selling point in my mind, because I do not know how high it could get. I can't say that I would be selling at X point because then it could go a lot higher than that so I am not taking that risk at the moment. I know that it is going to be a bit different, and we should be careful about selling point as much as we are careful about buying point as well.

Many people end up with nothing at all and I would rather not have that because they ended up not caring about how high it could go in the end. Looking at the market right now I can say that it is going to be a bit different and we should be careful. I know that many people think that they can sell for profit and be happy, but if it goes x2 after you sell, even if you profited you would still be sad.

Nice contributions from you all,and I am happy to read your plans on when to sell your bitcoin. This shows that so many of us are into the making profit lane from bitcoin in the next bull run. Only few members said they wouldn't sell but hodli till the next two bull runs. I was also thinking that hodli and not selling even after this next bull run will be the best but we all have our mindset and goals on our bitcoin journey. From what I understand, I believe that one can sell as long as you have made profit irrespective of the price but with patient, one can make more profit by selling at ATH. I hope that the price of bitcoin will hit $120k next ATH,because the price of bitcoin is now 31k+.

Selling your investment assets when your target has been reached is part of the investment plan. Of course I plan for that too, but only if I actually get the return on the target I've set. I can expect high returns for bitcoin, especially since I believe the price could be higher than the previous ATH.

I don't want to seem greedy about targets, but I can only be sure of one thing that halvings can bring holders huge returns in 18 - 24 months after halving. It's a possibility, but it's also a habit that has happened every halving.

1. $80k-$100k
2. I have no idea. As long as I am able to profit and I want to take it, there's no definite time and price when. Because with what I do, sometimes I sell even if there's no bull run and it's just like the normal days. For those that are likely to experience this upcoming bull run as their first, avoid being greedy and when you're happy to take profits and wanting to sell, just do it but save some so you can buy back.
Too low, but I think this price will be passed.
But taking profits now is too soon, I will not make this decision before the price passes $68k. After that I may sell some gradually but I want to sell at the peak but I'm sure it will be difficult unless you hold on to the next cycle.

For example, if the next peak point of ATH is $100k then I will sell at that price but we will never know the situation at that time whether I will be strong enough to hold at 70k/90k sometimes at that price it feels like selling because the profit is already 3x our purchase.
I just don't want to expect a lot but at least that's possible since we've hit $60kish last bull run and for sure it's going to be passed when the bull run comes. If ever it won't happen on the upcoming bull run then the chances are going to be higher the next one. We've got the same style of selling, we don't want to sell all of it but we're going to observe what shall happen after selling gradually. It's hard to sell when you don't have that much and that's my case and that's the reason why I need to be wiser when I'm about to sell at the prices that I am satisfied and considered to be the next peak.

Actually answering your thread is simple:
1. Don't know how much the next ATH will be, but what is clear is that it must be above last season's ATH.

2. In accordance with the cycle period every 4 years, I personally want maximum profit, and once again the price must be fixed in real time, so when it looks I will decide. Can't target a fixed price because for the upcoming ATH hypothesis, it will be a big surprise compared to last year. That's as far as I'd expect to go with Bitcoin.

Late 2024 - early 2025 I predict is the next ATH. - $150,000
The next bullish I will sell some to benefit from my patience holding bitcoin, I don't know how high the next ATH will probably be selling everything I have and ready to buy when the price drops again.
Honestly waiting for the next two bulls takes more time but it is a strong hold, the stronger the hold is the best for your future.
This is actually quite good situation, it will probably be like that and I agree with this prediction. Thinking about the halving, usually it goes up until halving but after a while pass after the halving it starts to skyrocket and I think that's what we are going to have. Hopefully it will be like we imagine because I am holding it as much as I possibly could and expect it to go up. If that happens then we are going to be right but also profiting a lot from it at the same time as well.

The best thing we can do is hold, there is really not much we can actually "do" about it, by not doing anything we are providing the best help we can. By early 2025 we are going to see near ATH prices for sure, that's what I believe at least.

My question goes like this
1. What price do you think that bitcoin will hit in the next ATH.
It was hard to tell as the price is unpredictable but I expect it will surpass the last ATH, $80k is quite possible.

I sell at the time it surpasses that last ATH, and not wait higher. Because I see this as the safest way as I experience before that I missed the ATH as I thought that it rallies more. But sadly, our expectations had failed as it drop after a few days from reaching ATH. And this is possibly going to happen. If I can still hold and be able to sell at $75k, that was a huge profit already which is enough to compensate me for risking and holding for many years.

1. What price do you think that bitcoin will hit in the next ATH.
My target is $100,000 the next ATH Bitcoin price.

2. When do you plan to sell and make good profit from your bitcoin portfolio,is it next bull season or the next two bull market, because bitcoin price is always tempting during the bull run. Give me your target price that you will be happy to sell off your bitcoin.
At the price I mentioned above.
Maybe at that time my portfolio will be empty and will be filled again when the price goes back down.
This does not indicate that I want the price of Bitcoin to fall again, but from experience that has happened that Bitcoin after reaching its highest price will return to a declining phase or be called bearish.

I call the next ATH Bitcoin price $100k, other people can assume more than the price I mentioned with various analyzes made.

Really depends on how much you are holding in my opinion.

Maybe if you are holding less than 1 BTC, then it's best to wait till the top price (although it's hard to time it, but as previous bull run, it's either around Nov-Dec, so most likely in this case, could be around that 2025).

I like the ladder method though, if you have more than 1 BTC, I think that will also be very effective plan on how to sell your stash and get the profits that you wanted.
It differs according to the individual, the state and society, as one amount of Bitcoin may be a lot in one country and normal in other countries. try to divide the amount so that you have sold most of your coins somewhere near the ATH.
Also, all Bitcoin cycles show a difference at the beginning, but as a result, the result is the same, that the price of Bitcoin breaks the previous peak, and then the state of uncertainty begins.

Although it is a fact that the possibility of the price going up to break ATH in the next couple of years looks good but most people fail to sell due to greed and their feeling that the price will go up even further.

You find them interested that the price will reach 100,000, and when the price reaches, they will think of selling at 200,000. Instead of buying a house, I can now buy two houses, and suddenly the price starts moving down and the investor tries to sell for any amount in order to avoid losing.

I think that the price will contradict expectations this year, and we may witness a peak between 120K to 160k as a new ATH, although I think that the speed of reaching those prices will be slow, followed by a strong correction below 60k.

The thing about selling bitcoin is that until it reaches mass adoption, the price is going to continue to rise. Which means no price is a good price to sell unless you want to pull out temporarily on a peak to re-invest when the correction occurs.
For example selling close to $20k by the end of 2017 to re-buy bitcoin when it comes down below $10k.

It's the same in the future, you just have to try and guess the peak of the bubble which is a hard thing to do. For example in 2017 many thought $1.2k was the peak lol. Some others thought $3k-$4k was the peak and so on until we reached $20k.
It's all about the momentum and how much money is flooding into the market. Back when price was $1k, $3k etc. the momentum was getting stronger which meant it was not the peak.
That also means we can't predict the next peak right now that the momentum has not yet started. We can give random guesses and mine is $400k.

It all depends on how the target price will be achieved.
If it has to go through the next bull and another bull market it won't matter as long as the target is still not reached.

At least if I have spare funds I start buying gradually.
we will see at the 4th Halving next year, it will be a bullish moment that many people are waiting for, because the rising season is always close to the halving and at the end of the halving period.

I keep seeing how people say it depends on target price or on income. Don't know why DCA still doesn't appeal here. No nonsense, no waiting, just using disposable income either at fixed amount or at fixed intervals ( I use the latter).

The timing game only makes sense in hindsight, I even tried DCA with some timing but nett effect is still equalised anyway. Save yourself the hassle of figuring things out and get your DCA in early. Now is good. Tomorrow is not as good but better than the day after.

1. What price do you think that bitcoin will hit in the next ATH.
About the ATH target to be achieved, everyone has their own target.
I hope that the next ATH can reach $100k and that is the standard price that I am targeting in the next ATH.

2. When do you plan to sell and make good profit from your bitcoin portfolio,is it next bull season or the next two bull market, because bitcoin price is always tempting during the bull run. Give me your target price that you will be happy to sell off your bitcoin.

Sell if you’re happy with your profit and if you already hit your target, you should know when to take profit and as a trader, I play short with some of my altcoins though with Bitcoin, its better for me to play long. The next bull trend is about to happen, Its better to be ready now, try to hold more and you can be good, be bullish because Bitcoin will soon pump and that’s the next trend for us.
It depends on what you're after. Personally, I'd even be happy if Bitcoin recovered to $50,000 because that would practically double my money instantly; my DCA is about $27,000, and anything above that is pure profit, especially when everything has been earned and not bought. That doesn't mean that I'm going to sell, even though I'd be financially satisfied. Bitcoin has tremendous capabilities, and I'm not in a huge hurry to sell it. Regarding the next ATH, a realistic expectation would be around $80,000 within the next one or two upcoming years; I'm mostly siding with two; one year sounds way too optimistic and close by.
For those who had been able to buyback on $15k then they are already x2 profits with their investment since the price now is already $31k+ and we do have recently this current upward movement in price in Bitcoin.
Selling out on a particular price point is really that something that you would really be minding on on which you would really be selling according into your liking if the price is already that right for you to sell which it would really be totally random on each person because we do have different take profit point. When bull run happens then lots had been anticipating that it could reach out even higher into its previous ATH which it is really a common impression by this community on every cycle on which its a normal approach. Sell on profits because we do have that main rule on investing and terms that no matter how small the gain
is as long its profit then its still a profit and be thankful and grateful with that rather than on getting sad.  Kiss

The lesson is really when not to sell and thats when price keeps going up.  This mistake has been made so many times, if the price doubled now it'd be mighty impressive but that could just be the start.  Im not sure I would be guided by a price as to when to sell and from what I've done in prior years I would avoid ever selling out my long term BTC because its so easy to get it wrong.
If the whole move is transformative dont expect to know what is the final price best to sell at.   I'd only sell the BTC I had got recently, if you actually buy not sell on the way up then feel free to sell that recently acquired BTC as you are just being careful to remain balanced but further out I wouldnt especially advise people to sell.
The market wants to wear you out then leave you behind in the dust while it makes off for the horizon, dont be like me and sell in autumn 2016 though I did need to buy stuff but still have patience is best advice.

We only have to sellmiur Bitcoin when we think it's the best time to sell because the price other bought might not be the same price you bought and the kind of price thah you intended having might be different to other people.
There are people who are very rich and have the funds to buy as much as large number of Bitcoin without even thinking about them or needing to sell them. We should compelled to sell our Bitcoin if when need fund so bad that we don't want to go to bank to collect loan to do whatever we intend doing. Those who have excess funds would never be bothered about the long term holdings since they have plans why they decided to hold.
