This can not happen but they can not lose trust from the public unless they mismanaged their users funds.
Asides having a legal issue and mismanagement of person money, what other reason fit make you lose trust in an exchange?Mismanagement of users fund and legal issues is just some of the clear reasons that can make an investor or and individual totally lose interest in an exchange no doubt, but their are few activities that can make people lose interest in an exchange, something like sharing the kyc data of their customers with a third party, like government of the state, and that is the reason why binance exchange has really earned my respect, because they prefer losing the Nigerian market than giving out the personal data of their Nigerian users to the government.
Secondly, another thing that can make someone lose interest in an exchange is when their minimum deposit is just way too high, am saying so because that's the exact reason I stop using kucoin before they left the Nigerian market, to me, if they aren't criminals, why would they set their minimum deposit of Bitcoin at 0.0002 Satoshi? which is almost 15usdt, I lost 10 dollar worth of Bitcoin that I transfer to that account, since then, I tag then as criminals, and I stop using kucoin and I started using bybit, because in bybit, even the least 1 dollar worth of Bitcoin can go through.
And lastly, is how fast and active the customer support is, if the customer support is not that active, it will definitely make someone lose interest in the exchange in question.
