Maybe it may take quite sometime before everything gets back to normal which includes hosting a live sports event since there is still no vaccine or medication being discovered that will cure or stop the covid-19 pandemic. But there could be a possibility that there can still be a soon response on this on which sports events might be conducted in a "new normal" manner in which only players are allowed in the place with no audience and if there will, social distancing and other health protocols will be needs to be strictly conducted to avoid the spread of virus

I have read a post in this forum that at this month of June sports betting on boxing might be held which will follow strict health protocols.

Slowly, sports events will come back in a "new normal" manner while there is still no vaccine so betting on sports book will sooner or later be back once again. Let us just all wait until such time for there are alternative ways possible so that we can still be able to have sports betting.

Well, there will always new normal practicing which where we still need to have social distancing and make other behavioral changes. We are calling that the new normal because whether we like it or not, the virus will stay for awhile since the vaccine are still on process right now and there is no assurance yet that it could really heal the people infected with the virus. Well, as what the scientists are saying that they found an effective cure, but until it's distributed and tested by people, we will remain hopeful.

The way to slowly get things back to normal is just to do our responsibility which is to be aware of the pandemic in order for us to do the right thing to prevent from getting infected of the virus.

Of course, this pandemic will affect all of us, including the players and teams. I think when one event has started, it will introspecting to see what it needs to fix more to be better so from time to time, and the sports event will have a better looking and have new normal in the middle of the pandemic.

We hope that there will be no new cases this month and the next month, so the sports event and the other things will not have an effect. But if the sports event and all things become normal, it will not be the same as the previous time before the pandemic.

As long as there is no vaccine  yet that's the only solution, people love to watch games and gamble at the same time so these sports organization that are running their game has to be extra careful so we both can enjoy while we are still waiting for the usual normal to come back.

It's hard but we have to accept the reality, and although for the organizers this is not what they want to give for us, but that's the best thing they can do at the moment, at least they tried something to bring back the games that we are longing to see.

Hopefully we wont really end up on getting back to the beginning if things or protocols havent been followed properly.You are right on saying that management or association would really do their best to follow up measures or procedures to get rid of the virus while they are continuing to start events since they do need to income then its normal for them to be strict with the compliance.

I agree. A league will never push their comeback without serious preparation. They are not playing a childish sports game here that's why I don't understand why others are negative about the sports that might resume next month. It's not just about business but people need to go back to work.

We can't just apply here the "what's the 1-year break if, in exchange, the virus will be eliminated" because, in the first place, the virus won't be eliminated completely at least for years. People need to work, the business should come back, the economy should be saved, the result for stopping all activities for a year is much worst compared to the pandemic that can control as long as strict guidance of health protocol will follow.

They definitely know the risk, and therefore we can expect that they will do what is necessary just to ensure the a certain league will continue to go live again.    Measures are easing in the last couple of days. From yesterday there can be 1000 people on one place,
sport events are opened, with few rules to follow, like the one 1 meter between people! I saw couple of
games, but I didn't place any bets yet. I will let it for a while, to see where are teams and players now

I was also thinking it will start next month, but I know it's just rumors, it could be next month or August, we never know, only the NBA will know and it's not an easy decision since this is not a one on one game only like boxing. There will only be risks if they are not careful, of course things will never be the same, one thing that will be sacrifice is the crowd, there will be none in the propose set up. some NBA teams have resume started to practice already AFAIK, that simply means they are preparing for something and I'm pretty sure that is the resumption of the NBA season.

NBA can resume even without the vaccine yet, other countries have done that, so if USA is a great country, they can also do the same.

For me the possibilities of the returning of the NBA in this current year is too low, the U.S.A has the highest death toll because of the virus and it already reached 100,000 deaths in all over the states. I'm sure that the management of the NBA will considered the risks and there is no game that will happen as long as their is still no vaccines that are been developed.

According to Trump, the scientists of the U.S will create the vaccine but it will take more time and the forecast date is January next year. But compared to other sports, basketball requires a group of players and the same with boxing, they require close contact which is what we are trying to avoid. Yep, most of the stage tournaments are canceled due to this COVID 19. But some of those canceled tournaments made some alternative so the tournament will still proceed like they changed the stage tournament to Online tournament, which team can participate online or per region (to avoid high latency), this already happens in Dota 2 recently.
But now most of the tournaments are online, some of the team are in the same house or venue playing together but there are also some teams that composed of players that located in different venues like they are only communicating via team speak.

Im really excited if it does happen and NBA announced that they will resume basketball games this July. Hopefully it really continues, but im seeing increasing numbers of people getting infected so my guess that it would be still be tentative and if it resumes i may not bet in a few games because i need to see which team is still in condition and haven't loss their touches.

As long as the sportsbook would offer something interesting while other sports aren't available i'd continue gambling but not too much since most of them can be unpredictable even with the stats available.

Well, I didn't stopped betting even during pandemy. There was still some football leagues running like Belarus or Nicaragua. So, I was betting on it sometimes, because I really missed sports betting. And now when Bundesliga returned, it's such good feeling when you can watch top level football and bet on it. There is quite many football already running, so there is some options to bet on. I just can't wait until La Liga will return.

2. I would predict that Nba will return somewhere in July.

I have started betting on football from when German league cam back, although I have been at a loss, the players are getting back after a long period of pandemic Break

Overall pandemic situation is not getting lower actually. We are at the last stage of first wave only and second wave is on the way. I don’t think in this kinda situation affected countries will take extra risks to start sports on their region rather than keeping everything paused as it is for next couple of month. Already WHO declared that after europe covid19 gonna massively spread on Africa and Asian territory where large number of people will get affected for sure. Already its started and most concerning thing is that it can reverse to other countries like it did from China to all over the world.

Definitely corona virus will stay longer than we are expecting and results will be massive if people don't follow proper guidelines which are provided by their government.       

Boxing is already coming back as early as June, with the MLB, NBA, NHL and other leagues in North America following suit as soon as they iron out the guidelines and other prerequisites in order to continue the tournaments. Football (soccer) leagues are also considering on continuing the season sans the audiences on the bleachers, and quite possibly ask for payment on viewership to at least get some profits. Anyway, most sporting events are on the horizon, provided that they are met and held with guidelines that prevent the spread of the disease further.

NBA and Football is where i do always look for.

I like betting on football and soccer games in major European Leagues are soon to start with some that have already allowed games to be played like Bundesliga in Germany.However we will truly resume betting hopefully in September 2020 when all the major European football leagues should have started if all goes well.Good thing is the virus intensity is going down day by day.

On NBA news, I think we can see an opening here if the current plan or schedule pushed through.

If the season continue its likely sportbetting platform will open their services. Next month the training camp will start and if there is no delay then likely all is set.

Im not sure for other topics that you mentioned.  But mostly here are probably interest on NBA like myself.

Oh, we've in the same sports after all. Obviously, when the time that they are all resumed, that's it. I can freely place my bet.

Group games with physical contact might take a long time to resume. Although it will depend on which country you belong to. There are already countries which might open group or team sports in the next few days and weeks, but there will be no live audience. As far as NBA is concerned, I am even guessing that the current season will be cancelled.

I think we can start betting by next month, boxing promoter Bob Arum announces that he is cooking for a boxing event to start next month.

We are all aware of the present situation, there's a pandemic and most of the sports are not permitted at the moment, however, with some news and rumors going around in the space, I have a feeling that sports will resume soon.

The sports that I like to bet when sports will resume.

1) PBA (our local basketball organization)
2) NBA
3) Boxing especially on popular boxers.
