Man! One of those days, huh?
I too find it frustrating that people call my all-in when I have, say, QQ, and they have something like K8o, or even worse, and they win in the end. It feels like they know what cards are going to appear on the table, and that's why they call. But I kill those thoughts quickly. I know it's just bad luck. It happens to everyone at some point ...
Good luck next time, mate!
Thanks. Yeah I was in a rather shit mood for the rest of the evening, bought into a few games I probably shouldn't of considering my mindset was pretty toxic at that point, but, c'est la vie. I've gotten over it and will just hope for better next time i get a shot at some good money. A few bounces on th etrapoline with the kids and I was right as rain.  Grin

Still really having a good time on SWC and their tournaments. Maybe I'll have better reads on people in the future.

I stand with Ukraine.
I think they hold the Big BTC at the same time each week. Up until recently I believe it was once a month.
Yeah if you are playing a satellite for the BIG BTC the prize will be entry - same ticket I have.

Timing is good for sure. Good luck today.

Edit: Well that was an all around disappointing Sunday. For the most part happy enough with my play. The Big BTC started off rough unfortunately getting premium hands that missed the mark entirely.
AK suited UTG+1 RFI, I 3-bet and they 4 bet to a 5th of my stack. I flat not sure if this was a mistake or not. What can I say I didn't want to jam my stack in at that point. Flop is all hearts, maybe 2 - Q high. They lead out for 2K 1/2 pot - I fold with no flush draw and 2 overs.
I've played with them in the past and while it could have been AA, KK it could easily be QX maybe a hearts draw.
I fold
A few pocket pairs that flopped 2 overs, no flopped sets.
I did bounce around between 6-9.3 K but it seemed anytime I made progress forward, I would have the best hand until the river.

Final 2 hands for me where TT I RFI 2.3 BB 1 caller, flop is 8 high, I lead out 3.5 and the caller jams this is about 19~ BB - I called. They show AA nd I'm now down to a 5 BB stack - in the SB I jam Q5 suited, and the BB easily calls with AA.

The 1BTC tourney was a bad start for me from the go. It was a very action heavy tourney from the get go. Twice in the 25 minuted I lasted I ran into a flopped 2 pair that boated up on the turn. I steadily lost to the weirdest of holdings. People calling down with no other way to describe it but absurd hands.
In the end I made for a bluff into a very wet board, and this was an instance of them having the full house by the turn.

Thanks again for the chance to play in the Big BTC.

The 1 BTC starts at 2PM for me and the Big BTC is at 4, so I casually dropped the prizepools VS. anticipated entrants first then then the times. She's onboard.

That is nice local time for max concentration on the tournaments. For me the 1 BTC starts at 9PM while Big BTC is at 11PM which is much too late for me since I work early next day. Do you guys know if Big BTC is always at the same time or does it change?

I'll give a try to Big BTC satellite today probably in parallel SB one, if I got that correctly winner of that tournament gets this same ticket as you got?

Congrats on winning the BIG BTC ticket, @Steamtyme! Win big in that one!
I myself was awarded with such ticket somewhere in 2016, and had been procrastinating with my participation for more than a year(the tournament was starting at 4 AM where I lived). Finally when they announced that the next BIG BTC was going to be the last one, I had no choice but to play. Smiley Long story short, I was lucky to finish on the 3rd place, winning 0.17 BTC(around $500 at the time).
Congrats again, and good luck, mate!
Thanks man, good job on your shot at it. Here's to hoping I can place anywhere near where you did.

do it up, MTT sunday. running good in both the sportsbet.io 1 BTC tourney and the BIG BTC would make for a hell of a day. Smiley

i'm gonna play in the SB tourney and probably the LITTLE BTC. there's a BIG BTC satellite starting at the same time as the SB tourney so i might take a shot at that.
Yeah I think I'm down. I work days Monday so getting in a 2 tournament session that stretches into the evening would be nice. Hoping it stretches into the evening  Grin

For fun I mentioned what the buy-in was for the Big BTC, waited for her should I say something face, then told her I won entry. Made my day

Hopefully I can carry forwards some of that rungood I had in the Thursday Double. Love those tournaments by the way, didn't hurt shipping the [A]. Real interesting concept for a sidepot and cumulative pot, by using the results from both tournaments played simultaneously.

Sounds like a decent line-up. I had originally thought about playing the Big, and the Medium or something like that for a big Sunday. I'm really liking the tournament structure and games on SWC this week. Probably going to try and focus more attention here for now as opposed to ACR. HAven't really given GG a fair shake yet, but I'm funded and can check it out whenever.

I'll be sure to fill everyone in on how I make out, hopefully come back with some great news.

I am torn. I wasn't sure if I'd have the ticket for this Sunday so when I saw the other large guarantee tournament running I jumped in that. I'll weigh my options and might just play both.

@Steamtyme Your BIG BTC ticket has been credited! Smiley
Confirmed(looks so good), and the hat has been ordered. I've received access to the entirety of the prizepool at this point. Thanks again.
In future anyone wondering about credited tickets it has an expiry of 2022/01/01, I'm sure I'll find the time.

If you make it to a big million dollar final you have to wear our btctalk poker shirt  Smiley
Wait we have shirts. I would definitely rep something like that... though I'm sure a final like that is far off firmly in dreamland.

bumping for visibility: Bitcointalk Poker Series format discussion

we need some more input and consensus around changes, otherwise i guess the format will stay the same, aside from scrapping late registration.

Glad it found it's way back. Yeah those spots are gut wrenching. Funny about that my daughter kept wanting to type so I put that she said "Hi'  she ran away embarrassed  Grin

It looks rough but that is poker. Not always fair but should be always fun Smiley

I would love to join but I am more a organizer myself and not a great poker player, if I ever joined I would lose in the first table most probably, unless somehow I get some awesome cards and you get some awesome but not as good cards and just happen to win, otherwise I am out as one of the first people out there.

I follow this place and constantly check it and even try to catch the games if I can only because I love organizing stuff like this myself, it is like a sports player watching some other sports match on his free time, just happen to be entertaining for me to see what is going on and what people likes and not likes and what could be better or what is being done much better than I can think of etc etc. But, since it is not that much money, maybe I will join eventually.

Congrats to SteamTyme, FOMA777 and 1r0n1c. After Iv4n was doing so well in the early stages, he was my favourite to win. There are certain people in this series, who are very good frontrunners and everyone is doomed once they sit on a heap of chips, but not this time. Iv4n is the only player to qualify for both Grand Finals btw.

Wind in my back! Thank you for this kind words, I hope we will play in next finals together! Yesterday I was on beer, that mess things up always, I should stick with wine, like today! Smiley Anyway, reading this make me feel nice, I plan to play in next grand final! Just to say Foma paid those 2 ladies, but I saw it as my hand! I thought everyone will fold, but even with those two ladies I had that out, we could see that ace and that would make entire game completely different! Smiley

Good series! And I am in the next series for sure! We had a good time playing and talking! Steamtyme and Foma had a great finale, I watched them and Steamtyme had that advantage from the start, nobody could move him from the first place, must be the hat he wanted! Smiley

People lets have another great series! I wait for updates from Efi, and I expect to see some people once again! Smiley I like to play poker with you people!!! Smiley

CCwatcher420 has been one of the most consistent players throughout both series and is one of the last seven standing to play every tournament, but still never got a penny back in prize money. Other regular players, that never got something in return are jayce and cygan; webtricks never cashed in the regular tournaments, but got 3rd place in small final in Series 1.

It looks rough but that is poker. Not always fair but should be always fun Smiley at least for me. My results swing wildly from very good to very bad, there is no middle ground for me. I am either out among the first players or do well. That is one of the things I have to work on if I intend to play with the big boys. Overall quality of the poker among forum members is growing steadily so it will only get harder.

I have to work on my early game while they have to work on the late game. Maybe I'll ask FOMA to coach me a bit on getting back into the game after loosing a significant portion of the chips Smiley

Well done, I got drunk too early and missed watching the action live.    Roll Eyes

Some crushing descriptions of losing when you think you are winning here. I can def relate to those.

Thanks for all the praise my way for keeping a simple spreadsheet up to date. It's not that much work in the end, once the sheet is set up properly Cheesy efialtis has 90% of all work and we can be happy to have such a good networker as our host, who is always able get us some extra prizes.

That and my KK losing to Iv4n hitting a trip 7 on the river had me very worried early on.

Atleast you won the series and won that big btc ticket. Pffttt, Actually Im still salty that my pair K lose to your three Queen yesterday  Cheesy. I was really happy when I got pair K in my hands and thought that this is the moment for me to turn everything back.

I was damn happy when We went all in and I saw that you only have pair Queen but boom the third Queen shows up on the table. My soul literally left my body for like 2 seconds the moment that happened  Wink
