I guess we should define what we mean by success/failure. To me doge is a failure at the moment because the community is shrinking and the value has been dropping for several months now. To me a coin has to have a stable or increasing value in order to be considered a "success."

Blackcoin has been rising in value but it seems unlikely that this can be maintained. It's still too new to call it a definite success or failure yet.

Way too many coins and unknown variables to make any guess.

Personally i invest all my BTC in 4-5 old or solid coins. Like FTC / Doge / LTC / BTC

Too many overpriced shitcoins as of now.

I do not trust X11 or price hyped coins like AUR / BC

....solid coins......Doge........FAIL

Doge is solid. Yes.

Comes right after LTC.

Whats wrong ? You mad because you dont have doges ?

Fuck blackcoin. Buy Whitecoin. This one will be fair...

Why is whitecoin more fair? Did they copy the fair part of the BC code only?

you mean the scam part only, which is the only part of blackcoin

ah...i forgot there is also the shit part

Really, this forum should have any kind of age verification, is like reading a teenager chat ffs. Useful information: Zero. Bias: 100%. Man, what a lose of time.

your post also doesn't offer anything to the forum, and it is probably biased too regarding blackcoin

Far as I can tell, it's a blackcoin clone with numbers changed and a premine tacked on...

It has been discussed all over the place that there is a cadre of blackcoin holders who are attempting to manipulate the price by agreeing not to sell below a certain price and keeping in contact with each other to maintain high, rising prices. That's probably illegal and in any event it can't last long term, some of them are going to get greedy and try to dump their stash while the dumping is good rather than risk being the last bagholder.

Not saying the coin itself is bad but it really isn't all that amazing compared to a dozen other altcoins with reasonably promising features.

PoS + multipool isn't a solution to ever increasing price, as many naive people seem to believe. There are no cheats in the free market. This naivete is sort of like believing that the Martingale strategy guarantees gambling winnings.

~50% of the coins are held in the top 100 wallets, which obviously corresponds to <100 people behind them. When a handful decide to cash out, it'll trigger a cascade. After all, like all other altcoins, you can't actually do anything with BC except trade it for BTC so there's no reason to hold on to them in a declining market. I sincerely wish you all best of luck when the game of hot potato starts -- this is where the fun of altcoin-land truly lies. Wink

If any alt manages to amount to anything, it'll be a niche market like financial instruments or true anonymity.

Well, never mind about three days. Well, that's the nature of the beast. It's always some sort of speculation.

Who knows though, maybe this is just an extended "hiccup." But dang, 8,000 BTC worth of volume is a heck of a lot...

Well the network , staking , etc.. all working pretty nicely.. so far i can say this is better than BTC for the originally intended purpose of a crypto currency.  (I mean outside of all the crazy speculation... which i agree is just a bubble begging to be popped, atm)

You can't compare this to VTC.. there's much less mining "inflation".  The large % of vertcoin hasn't even been mined yet.. so that will dilute existing coins.  All PoW coins suffer from that.

PoS is vastly superior for the short term in terms of value.. but I'm still not sure if it's actually a secure protocol.  If it is, it will replace BTC one day.. I'm not sure if that will be BC, or some other PoS coin.. but one of them will.

(disclosure: I'm long on both VTC and BC atm)

Urrrrrgg

I think we found the ceiling, dammm it, just when I cash out of one position to jump in here, the rise comes to a screeeeeching halt, purchased at 92 had to sell at 91 because it was clearly reversing, then after that the rate drops so low so fast have to take a couple more losses, then I finally get in under it and start making my money bank and ended up a bit.  of course now it flat lines.  uuuuurrrrrrrgggggggg -- fun though
