Sometimes the bank can be so annoying with activities which sometimes is not in line with bank regulations. For a year now I haven't stepped my foots in the bank environment. The reason is because, I remembered when I lost my phone I couldn't retrieve the line because a friend of mine helped me to buy the Sim card and I couldn't reach him if he can help me to retrieve the line back. So I bought a new sim card. I went to access bank isiokpo branch in Rivers State to change the phone number in my account to enable me receive alert and also transfer money with my phone. Could you believe that this so called customer care asked me to bring my NIN at same time go to the court to swear an affidavit before I can change the phone number in my account. Honestly I was so mad. I decided not to step my foot in bank. That action lead me to open opay and palmpay account that I am using till now.

op this thread has reminded me of the past horible experience i do have in the banking system,be it withdrawal of money or biometric capturing it will always amount to time wasting, and as we all know every event in life work with time.so time need not to be wasted, i call it wasted time because what should be done within 20 minutes if properly organize will take you 4hours. so thank god for the invention of mobile banking, p o s, kuda, palmpay, monipoint, opay.  this are  modern technologies that are really of help to aid easy acess to our finacial savings.and as such has created more self employment to the people comparing when bank alone was in operation, eventhough bank has reduce there staff due to less crowd in the bank, the invention of p o s and other mobile banking is more helpful and advantageous to the society.

Nigeria banks are the worst and everything about them is frustrating. These banks wan carry person catch cruise well well. Make we just de hustle and stay on good lane because winnings is always ascertain to those that work really hard for it.

Bros I no go lie, this new model of banking is really helpful with our busy schedule and more pressing needs for faster transaction. I too believe Opay, early in the morning, or the night before, I've moved the cash to be spent tomorrow to my Opay account for faster and easier transactions. I no get strength for these conventional banks because their own dey enter their body most times.
I no go lie too, instead of to use my two legs go ATM cash points, I rather patronize my POS guys and I've my way of ensuring security too. I don't ever use cards, so if you don't accept transfers, I will move to the next person.
I no even fit remember the last time I entered bank, that one na forgotten issue, why because if I have an issue, Access bank allows me to complain to my account officer, I'll just log in, drop my complaints. On rare occasions, I might even call him and my case is solved. So like this, I fit no enter bank for a long time ooo.

Banks are even benefiting from these POS stuffs cos it gets them more returns than the ATM. So Its a win win situation and that's why most times they don't bother bringing branches at some local areas as POS agents keep enriching them on a daily

I only go to bank to review my ATM card apart from that nothing else attracts me to bank, if money pos is out there so to me it's the same stress paying 400 Naira to bank while I can pay 100 for PoS charge and stop the stress of sweating on queue or having to squeeze myself inside bus to go to bank for how much?
Bro I don't go through stress anymore and again I hardly use my ATM if not for some supermarket they don't accept direct transfer except with card to slot into their PoS I wouldn't have wasted my precious time going queue to have it done.

It has been long that u visited the bank, going to the bank is not long an option for me, since there are better alternative thank the bank itself, very soon with what is happening there will be redundancy in the banking sector in terms of manpower because the only time someone may decide to visit his bank is when there is debit without reversal or debit without paying, I don't longer make use of my debit card, I do more of transfer both in the pos stands or when I want to pay for what I purchase and I love the digital experience, if you consider the lapses in the banking section, you will be left without option than to look out for alternatives, every thing is wrong with our banking system.

I was at the bank last month to complain about a failed transfer for which I was debited. I do agree, the reasons why one needs to visit banks in Nigeria has reduced over the years. Basic stuff like transferring funds can now be done from the comfort of anywhere you are using your internet-connected phone or PC.

However, if you need physical cash, you still need to enter a bank or make use of its ATMs. And if you require a debit or credit card, you may have to go to the bank as well.

All of our experiences are pretty much the same. As human beings we avoid anything that is stressful and inconveniencing. Unfortunately Banks fall into places that causes all stress and inconveniences us because of the kind of service that is rendered at the bank giveaway to provide feedback it will be one. What I mean is that most of us would rate the services provided by these banks one on a scale of one to ten.

If it were possible to avoid banks and hospitals for the rest of my life, I would. In fact, I think everything should be digitalized. We should write them when we have conplay. Forms should be filled online is provided by a secure server etc. This is how it should be.

I have just went to the bank recently when I wanted to update my DOB on my BVN, before then, I can’t remember the last time I went inside the bank for complaint, deposit or any form of issue with my money in the bank.

Banks are fading away and they don’t get more patronage through the ATM card withdrawals like before when technology came in and made things easier for all. The use of POS machines for withdrawals are also a matter of time, they will also fade away when cashless policy comes into full effect but I don’t think it will happen anytime soon.

Rich Nigerians are the type that like to show off cash at any given opportunity to do so, big wedding and ceremonies are celebrated to show off wealth which include spraying of money. If many people become digitalised and no longer need paper money at hand for transactions, the ones that will want to show off won’t make that a reality which they are the elites that control the use of the money itself.

No be small thing oo, small small na so banks take dey loss customers to pos and mobile Fintech banks, and just as you talk the next thing wey er fit see na be say people go come dey more in interested in transfer than to use normal ATM or go bank, e don Tay well well since I go bank, the only thing wey dey make me go bank na one hen I wan withdraw very large amount of moni, but even got that one sef I dey consider am say e too risky, because Dem been don thief moni from my oboy when em go bank, so majority of my money movement na either transfer or ATM card.

I haven't been in bank for about 3 years now neither have I been using the ATM card transaction method but the USSD and mobile App transaction methods.
The queue at the ATM stand is gradually reducing because, when you consider the time and stress people go through on the queue and you know that the pos guy will only charge you 100box to get 5k, you go just jejely waka go POS point, withdraw your money and getat to your house.
It is not only considering the ATM queues and how you could withdraw #5K from the POS with #100 but also considering the distance between your location to the bank because most times, the  money you spends on transport To and Fro off the bank is more exorbitant than the POS charge fees.

Honestly speaking I can't remember the last time I visited a bank, because I don't have anything to do there. All my banking details are in order and I don't see a reason why I should visit there. Mostly I operate more on cashless basis. When I need our local currency I sell my usdt on p2p and and get my money in my account. When I run low on groceries I go to the grocery store and buy everything I need and pay with my debt card. For those that accept Bitcoin I pay them with Bitcoin. With the way our country is right now, one can really operate on a cashless basics if you want. This has really reduced the work load on the banking sector.

Omo it's been almost a year I last visited the bank and it was because of the amount my account was limited to I received a certain kind of money and I had to go to the bank so that the limit would be increased that was the last time I visited the bank and I believe if not for some complains or banking issue or ATM renewal I don't think many of us would visit the bank for a long time

Honestly pos and mobile banking is a stress reliever applaud Nigerians for giving mobile banking and pos a try I remember when fashola was still the governor of Lagos state he was among if not the first person pushing for a cashless society by introducing the use o a POS machine and mobile banking to lagosians and then the entire nation bought the idea

I no go lie since opay start to dey reign e don Tey I go my bank, my ATM card don expire over a year now but I no still border about it because of how opay dey very good. Our banks really need to learn from opay, some days ago I just say make I put money into my bank they deduct huge amount from my account,  I see reason why people will always choose opay before any other bank . Opay no dey dey deduct money from people account for no reason, but other banks keeps stealing from us.
