One of the world's leading Bitcoin-powered casinos
Just curious why we don't hear from those early adopters or Satoshi himself much especially when there are major issues being debated that jeopardize bitcoin future. Are they all now rich and don't care any more? Are any of them still active on this website?
I don't think that people get out from this world after 10 years , here i am saying so because it happened only about 10 years+ , so here we can say exactly that the owners of the bitcoin are no more available to have lots of money or those who accepted bitcoin in bulk amount in his wallet in the starting is now no more in this field .
Here actual thing is that most of the people who adopted bitcoin in the starting are now millionaires but you we can't say that they don't have any tension that anything happen with bitcoin because they are millionaires because of only bitcoin and i am 100% that they have most of the whole earnings in the form of the bitcoin only , so they will take care much about it whether what is going with it and what will happen also .
If here we have some doubt that the owner of btc or the early adopters are not involved in the bitcoin field now , then here it has the possibilities that they hired a team to handle this thing .

They are probably hiding from the public and for the reason, they don't want to be exposed and that someone knows how much Bitcoins they have.
Those who got large amount of Bitcoins back then if they kept it until now probably are millionares or at least very wealthy. It must be a nice feeling.

I think that most of the early adopters sold their coins early, not later than at the end of 2013.
I am sure that nearly none of them would have predicted that bitcoin would take the developement it did. I would have sold as well.
Maybe some keys of early adopters got lost as well during time.
And I have read that story about this one guy whose coins got stolen. He would be nearly a billionair by now.

nobody is going to tell you they are millionaires because of bitcoin, why should they? who have you seen to be willingly and stupidly reveal their finances online for the whole world and certain 3 letter agencies to see?! nobody that's who!

If those early adopters really doesn't care to bitcoin itself then I think it will not survive until this day so there are people who still do a certain thing to keep it up and running and that is the people that is also responsible for major changes that is happening in bitcoin.

Most of the moderators in this forum is really giving help to contribute to the bitcoin community and they never leave it ever since, I am sure that they are rich though but that doesn't a valid reason for them to leave.

I think they are active especially when they see the price is so high, and I think they don't need to mentioned that they are rich, I am not sure about millionaire but for sure they are earning a lot of profit, and most of them already sold their coin when they thought the price is high, only left few people still hold their coin from the early stage

The thing is most of the early adopters sold BTC early, no one has enough patience to hold till today of they had bought btc when it was in single digit. Most probably someone who had bought BTC when it was $10 would had sold it when it became $50 or even less. If you are getting a nice double or triple profit would not take that profit rather than risking holding for longer and losing it all?

Yes, if they hold religiously then probably they are millionaire now. Also, as the bitcoin price continue to rise there are many people joining the millionaires list day after day.

I would bet some just lost their private keys or use it just for kidding and forget about it really fast. Who know Satoshi Nakamoto didn't lost his keys too...

Just like the value of Bitcoin right now, it would be hard to speculate where are those people you are referring to. I would guess that many of them also opted out when Bitcoin made the initial surge in value. One thing for sure is that many of them really made a good amount of money just for being there at the right time in getting Bitcoin when it was just in introductory price.

Now, I am also sure that there are still many who are holding huge stocks of Bitcoin and they are not anymore that noisy...because they don't want the risk of being exposed. Maybe these people felt it that soon the government can be flexing its hard muscles showing that they've got the power and the will to use it.

There are only a few people that kept their bitcoin since 2010 to now and most of them forgot of it. I think if someone buyed back then some bitcoins ,they probably sold it when its price was 50$ or 100$ or 200$. That is what I would also do. Who knew that bitcoin is going to hit 4000$? Absolutely nobody
No one ever thought that time is the best time to save btc, we didn't expect btc to be this high from where it started. Btc users who started before earlier 2010 mostly seems just started again since they didn't take it seriously before.

I'm more curious about how many of the early bitcoin adopters saved their bitcoins untill those days. Once I've seen old posts where people regreted about selling btc at price 10$ because they caould sell it for 18$. If someone had some thousands of bitcoins earlier then losing your wallet seems to be the only way to save everything untoched.

There are definitely early adopters out there that saved some, but there are probably a lot of people out there that would rather not paint a target on their back. I have met some self proclaimed bitcoin millionaires in person, and always wondered why someone would go around bragging about that. Seems like a good way to ensure a visit to your home from some unsavory people.

The other posters are correct, though. Many people early on saw that their Bitcoin was worth something at various points and cashed out. For example, the infamous pizza that was purchased with thousands of Bitcoins. Today that would be millions of dollars of Bitcoin.

i bet majority of them didnt expect Bitcoin's value to rise to such high values, i mean lets be serious, most of us will decide to sell it upon achieving 3-5 times profit

I think only some of the early Bitcoin adopters. There are some people who bought a large sum of Bitcoin but when the price is already at $100, they sold it thinking that they already profited from it. Technically speaking, yes they already gained an income but they forgot to look on a bigger picture which is the future price of Bitcoin.

Well let's put it this way, a friend of mine who I physically bought my coins from was a big time miner. He had over 150 coins at one time, he saw a huge return and spent them like wildfire at $70. He more than tripled his money, he was living large, when you already make back your investment you have a different mentality. Think of it like friends at a casino they may win $50 then spend $25 of their winning as it's extra "free" cash.
Well I've noticed that true cryptoanarchists are the only people who stromgly  belived in bitcoin and keeped it over a long time. For the other people then they like doubled their investments they started selling it for the price that seemed to be high at that moment. Ithink that most of early bitcoin adopters bough it accidently and probably sold it on the first massive pump.

Yeah, I also want to hear something from them. By the way, by looking at the charts, it seems like the early bitcoin enthusiasts might had sold their coins at $100 already since nobody had foreseen that btc will reach 5k. If they had kept their bitcoins then probably they are living their lives to the fullest at the moment. What a sweet ending though.

A lot reinvested incorrectly, I bought quite a few bitcoin at $50 and promplty bought 333mh/s miners.

Wow you have been here since 2012! If you don't mind, how many coins do you own now and how much did it cost you to acquire them roughly? Did you sell any of them and take profit over the years?
