Im sure that people know the merit source list also know the rules of the merits users are afraid to beg because everyone know that it is strictly prohibited and we all know beg=red tag easily.

If not the list of merit sources released must include the rules of the merit system and has this note.
"Anyone beg for merit will be instantly tagged"

The merit sources aren't public in order to prevent PMs/Replies begging these sources for merit. It shouldn't matter whether someone is a source or not. If you see them abusing the merit system (eg meriting their friends) and have definitive proof, you can bring it up in one of the merit reporting threads and someone will red-tag the accounts.

I agree that only a few people actively distribute their merits consistently, but this applies to all forum users and not just the merit sources. Half of the merits you receive are supposed to be given out to others, but many people don't. This may be due to laziness or lack of knowledge but I think is a problem that needs to be addressed.

This post is not to brag about merit system.

Am I the only one here wondering where are the merit sources? Because honestly I can only see few of them.
Im aware that there are 80 merit source assigned by theymos, but I can only see some of them actively distributing their merits.

Im not telling here that I deserve to get some merits actually Im contented in this Jr. Member position there's no problem for me if I dont get some or will not rank up anymore in the future, but this is for all of the members here need to get some.

Is it possible if those merit sources has list that can see by all of us, so that all of us can see if they are active?
I know that all the merit sources assigned are trusted by theymos. But maybe some of them can abuse their sMerit from their merit source allowance and distribute the merits to only those who they know or friends or maybe they have favoritism, we dont know.

But if we have a public list of this merit sources they will have a doubt to abuse the merit because they are visible to the public and can be reported.

We can see a lot of merit giveaways from a normal members, but there are assigned merit sources that the community must expect a large number of this event from merit sources.

If a merit source make this kind of events for high quality content there will be more sponsor and support from those users who has a lot of merits for sure.


Please dont get offended if you are one of the merit source Im not telling here that all merit source are not active and not distributing their merits.  

PS: Im not here to make an argument.
